Konec leta je čas, ko se oziramo nazaj in skušamo iztekajočemu se letu dati oceno. V ameriškem primeru zlasti letos to ni lahka naloga, kajti vrnitev Donalda Trumpa v Belo hišo po prisegi 20. januarja letos je ZDA potisnila v pravi vrtinec dogajanja na najrazličnejših področjih. Konec tega tedna se izteka rok, ko mora ameriško pravosodno ministrstvo objaviti celotni dosje spolnega prestopnika Jeffreyja Epsteina. Ali ga bo? Ali je prav Epsteinov dosje povzročil, da se je Trumpu zvesta volilna baza zamajala in mestoma je prišlo tudi do razpok?

Prihodnje leto bo minilo 100 let od smrti pesnika Srečka Kosovela. Na pobudo občine Sežana je vlada leto 2026 razglasila za Kosovelovo leto. Danes je bila tam prireditev, na kateri so predstavili celovito prenovo Kosovelove domačije v Tomaju ter projekt Konstrukturizem. V oddaji poročamo tudi o drugem delu projekta Generacije kolektiva Fourklor. V predstavi Generacije, drugi korak avtor skupaj s soustvarjalkami sledi tako vertikalni liniji v smislu nadaljevanja generacij po starosti, kot horizontalni liniji, v odnosih posameznika do kolektiva ter njunega medsebojnega vpliva.

Zamejska športna koordinacija (Zaško) je preko regijskih pisarn Olimpijskega komiteja Slovenije v Celovcu, Trstu, Monoštru in Zagrebu odprla možnosti razvoja in pridobivanje mladih v zamejske skupnosti, kjer je bilo teh dejavnosti v preteklosti zelo malo. »Šport je edinstveno sredstvo, da se ohranja jezik in identiteta. Ko mladim nekaj vcepiš v srce in če je to v slovenskem jeziku, to nese naprej v zrela leta,« je prepričan Ivan Peterlin, predsednik Zveze slovenskih športnih društev v Italiji. »Kar se je zgodilo v zadnjem času, je preseglo naša pričakovanja. Prej smo sodelovali na posameznih projektih, zdaj so postavljeni novi temelji, imamo strnjene moči. Regijski centri so izjemno pomembni za zavest skupnosti,« je o projektu Zamejske športne koordinacije povedal predsednik Slovenske športne zveze v Celovcu Marijan Velik. Delovanje koordinacije so pozitivno ocenili tudi predstavniki iz Hrvaške in Madžarske, saj omogoča, da se mladi, kjer ni dvojezičnega šolstva, aktivno vključijo v delovanje slovenske manjšine, kjer so trenutno v kulturnih društvih v večini zbrani starejši.

Letošnji fokus je med drugim tudi na tehniki igličastega zaslona, pri kateri animator, animatorka podobo ustvarjata tako, da z različnimi predmeti pritiskata na zaslon, v katerem je več tisoč iglic. Letošnjo 36. izdajo Ljubljanskega mednarodnega filmskega festivala Liffe je po dolgem času odprl slovenski film, in sicer Belo se pere na devetdeset režiserja Marka Naberšnika. Posnet je po istoimenski knjižni uspešnici Bronje Žakelj, ki je z režiserjem sodelovala tudi pri pisanju scenarija. Gre za avtoričino osebno zgodbo, ta pa je prepredena z bolečo izgubo bližnjih zaradi bolezni in nesreče, pa s soočanjem s hudo boleznijo v mladosti. Z Markom Naberšnikom, podpisanim pod nekaj največjih slovenskih filmskih uspešnic (med njimi Petelinji zajtrk in Šanghaj), se o njegovem filmu pogovarja Tesa Drev Juh. Dogajanje na političnem parketu je pred prihajajočimi parlamentarnimi volitvami vse bolj pesto: oblikovanje vse več novih strank, potrjevanje programov in stopnjevanje priprav že obstoječih. Analitiki ocenjujejo, da bi se se lahko v državni zbor uvrstilo osem strank ali celo devet, kar po mnenju politologa Mira Hačka lahko pomeni precej težav. Drugi poudarki oddaje: - Gospodarstvo opozarja na zamude pri uvedbi krajšega delovnika. The Cinematography Podcast Episode 333: Jeff Cronenweth Two-time Oscar-nominated cinematographer Jeff Cronenweth, ASC is known for visually defining modern classics like Fight Club and The Social Network. With TRON: ARES, he melded three distinct realities: the digital Grid, the gritty real world, and the retro feel of the grid in the original TRON. Jeff's involvement with TRON: ARES began through his long-standing relationship with Jared Leto. After working together on Fight Club, Leto, who stars as Ares and is a producer on the film, personally asked Jeff to meet with director Joachim Rønning. Jeff found that Rønning had established a remarkably clear vision for TRON: ARES from the start by storyboarding every scene. Having a clear plan was crucial, given the complexity of the environments and the technical demands of the shoot, which included a challenging seven weeks of night shooting in downtown Vancouver. Jeff chose ARRI DNA LF lenses for their character, flare, and artifacting, even for the digital setting, and the film was framed for IMAX. The core challenge for Jeff was using visual language to differentiate the film's three central environments, drawing inspiration from the franchise's past while exploring something new. 1. The Main Grid: Predictable Perfection Referencing the "pristine" aesthetic of TRON: Legacy, the new film's main Grid environment is defined by machine code—a world that is predictable and perfect. Look: Sharp, clean lines, saturated colors, and a highly geometric, mechanical feel. Color Coding: The classic blue/gray/white color palette is reserved for the good guys, while the presence of the bad guys is immediately signaled by the use of red. 2. The Real World: Embracing the Grit In TRON: ARES, for the first time, the computer programs emerge into the real world. Reality required a darker, grittier visual separation from the digital realm. Look: Shooting in Vancouver's downtown allowed reflections in large glass buildings to enhance the environment's texture. Practical locations, like a chase that concluded with lightcycles crashing into bales of recycled paper on a pier, further grounded the action. 3. ENCOM/Mainframe Grid: A Nod to the Original To connect back to the franchise's roots, the scenes where the character Ares ventures into the original ENCOM grid to find Flynn needed to match the look of the 1982 film. Reference: The 1982 TRON's grid scenes were shot in black and white and then hand-painted to achieve the glowing effect. To mimic this analog feel, Jeff intentionally doubled the amount of grain and desaturated the color, creating a look that closely matches the original.  Light is both a symbol and a weapon in Tron: Ares. To get the look, visual effects, costumes, props and cinematography had to work closely together. LED lights were installed in costumes, props and sets, and practically controlled through a dimmer board. This gave the VFX team a base to build upon. The lightcycles, some of which were built as practical, towable props, had LEDs built in and connected to dimmer boards as well. The lights provided real, interactive reflections on the actors and surrounding environment. Jeff also used light beams on set to simulate a recognizer scanning a high-rise office. The VFX crew could then track and enhance these practical effects in post-production. Asteroid "12 Victoria" is a large S-type (stony) asteroid in the main asteroid belt, discovered in 1850 by J.R. Hind. It orbits between Mars and Jupiter, recently, a meteor event occurred over Victoria, Australia, in August 2025, which created a sonic boom and was large enough for fragments to potentially have landed on the ground.  5th & 6th - Moon Near Pleiades NGC's 253 & 288 well placed tonight 7th - Cleomedes Sunset Rays visible on Moon 9th  - Carbon Star VX And Best tonight 10th - Jupiter 4-degrees S of Moon 11th - asteroid 471 Papagena at opposition  471 Papagena is an asteroid that was discovered by German astronomer Max Wolf on 7 June 1901 12th - N Taurid Meteors ZHR=5 The Northern Taurid meteor shower, active from roughly October 20 to December 10, peaks around November 12. It is known for producing bright, slow-moving fireballs that are easy to spot with the naked eye. The shower is caused by Earth passing through debris from Comet Encke  14th - Zodiacal Light becomes visible this month 17th - Leonid Meteors this morning The Leonid meteor shower is an annual event that peaks around November 17th, when Earth passes through debris left by Comet 55P/Tempel-Tuttle. These fast, bright meteors appear to originate from the constellation Leo, which is how they got their name.
