Russia is routinely accused of interfering in democracy in other countries. While these accusations have been insubstantial, there is a growing body of evidence of Israeli interference in British politics. Both in the United States and in the UK pro-Israel groups have channeled cash into defeating pro-Palestine law-makers and funding a wide range of Members of Parliament. In the UK some of these groups have close working relationships with the Israeli embassy and have arranged for trips to Israel by MPs. This funding and these relationships are being used to further the interests of a foreign power and undermine British sovereignty as well as subduing criticism of Israel's genocide against the Palestinians.

In this episode, you'll learn how to improve your health with this one powerful mental shift. But here's the kicker - it's going to be uncomfortable. Labeling food as “good/bad” or “healthy/unhealthy” is not only untrue (we'll get into why not), but it's also working against you and interfering with your health goals. That's because it's disconnecting you from your body, working against your biology, and setting you up to crave more of the foods you're trying to avoid. (Cue the late night kitchen raids for chips or cookies.) You're going to learn how to let go of the traditional diet culture narratives about healthy eating, so that you can not only have peace with food - but you can also honor your health in ways that actually work and are sustainable. Episode Highlights -How your all-or-none thinking with food is showing up, and how it's getting in your way -The overall patterns with your eating that matter more than individual food choices -The supportive vs non-supportive framework (this changes EVERYTHING!) -Ideas and examples of how to find balance with food using my Have Your Cake & Eat It Too Method Today's Wellness Woo is intermittent fasting Resources Mentioned - Take my free 2-minute quiz to Discover Your Unique Path to Food Freedom! Al in the Shed and his ex, Laura were both on the phone this morning for another episode of Al's crazy life. Today, we learned about the time Al (accidentally) ran over his then 5-year-old daughter. (0:00) The Yankees were able to avoid the sweep last night. Chaz and AJ spoke with John Pierson from News 8 this morning about the game, and the two fans who went viral for ripping a ball out of the glove of Mookie Betts. (14:45) A family in Fairfield has attracted a lot of attention for their annual Halloween displays. Monique Jara was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about this year's Titanic display, including a hand-built half boat in their front yard. (28:48) The theme of Dumb Ass News today was certainly golf. In Canada, a man smashed a club over another guy's head, and a woman in a golf cart drove through a croweded restaurant. (39:44)

Keir Starmer can't even fly to Samoa without another international British embarrassment breaking out. The latest is an angry accusation from Donald Trump's campaign that Labour is committing the crime of ‘election interference' in the United States. ‘The British are coming!' screamed a typically camp Trump-Vance official press release last night. The campaign denounced Britain's ‘far-left' governing party for attempting to subvert democracy by sending almost 100 of its activists across the pond to sway American voters. But are the British actually coming? Freddy Gray speaks to James Heale, The Spectator's political correspondent. Produced by Oscar Edmondson.

A major diplomatic row as Donald Trump files a legal complaint accusing Labour of "blatant" election interference. It started with an innocuous LinkedIn post drumming up Labour volunteers to campaign for Kamala Harris, and has ended with Donald Trump formally accusing the party of government of illegal election interference. Camilla and Kamal ask how Labour been so naive enough to allow themselves to create a diplomatic row with Donald Trump, and also how they can now hope to have a good relationship with any future Trump administration.Plus, it was over to the deputies at Prime Minister's Questions this week, and it got pretty feisty between Angela Rayner and Oliver Dowden. Interfering or not interfering? Offside or not offside? And would Jose Sa have saved John Stones' header regardless? These are all questions delivered and deliberated upon in this week's show, as we look into that injury time winner for Man City at Wolves. Elsewhere, Matz Sels is making a name for himself with another match-winning performance for Nottingham Forest in their victory over Crystal Palace, Guglielmo Vicario and Caoimhin Kelleher racked up 50 appearances at Tottenham and Liverpool respectively, and Nick Pope made one of the most remarkable saves (with his head) you're likely to see. Ever. In the EFL, Thomas Kaminski sounded the second klaxon of the weekend, while Franco Ravizzoli and Billy Crellin continue to upturn the form of Wycombe and Accrington since stepping in.

"In the human case, it would be mistaken to give a kind of hour-by-hour accounting. You know, 'I had +4 level of experience for this hour, then I had -2 for the next hour, and then I had -1' — and you sort of sum to try to work out the total… And I came to think that something like that will be applicable in some of the animal cases as well… There are achievements, there are experiences, there are things that can be done in the face of difficulty that might be seen as having the same kind of redemptive role, as casting into a different light the difficult events that led up to it."The example I use is watching some birds successfully raising some young, fighting off a couple of rather aggressive parrots of another species that wanted to fight them, prevailing against difficult odds — and doing so in a way that was so wholly successful. It seemed to me that if you wanted to do an accounting of how things had gone for those birds, you would not want to do the naive thing of just counting up difficult and less-difficult hours. There's something special about what's achieved at the end of that process." —Peter Godfrey-SmithIn today's episode, host Luisa Rodriguez speaks to Peter Godfrey-Smith — bestselling author and science philosopher — about his new book, Living on Earth: Forests, Corals, Consciousness, and the Making of the World.Links to learn more, highlights, and full transcript. They cover:Why octopuses and dolphins haven't developed complex civilisation despite their intelligence. How the role of culture has been crucial in enabling human technological progress. Why Peter thinks the evolutionary transition from sea to land was key to enabling human-like intelligence — and why we should expect to see that in extraterrestrial life too.Whether Peter thinks wild animals' lives are, on balance, good or bad, and when, if ever, we should intervene in their lives.Whether we can and should avoid death by uploading human minds. And plenty more.Chapters:Cold open (00:00:00)Luisa's intro (00:00:57)The interview begins (00:02:12)Wild animal suffering and rewilding (00:04:09)Thinking about death (00:32:50)Uploads of ourselves (00:38:04)Culture and how minds make things happen (00:54:05)Challenges for water-based animals (01:01:37)The importance of sea-to-land transitions in animal life (01:10:09)Luisa's outro (01:23:43)Producer: Keiran HarrisAudio engineering: Ben Cordell, Milo McGuire, Simon Monsour, and Dominic ArmstrongContent editing: Luisa Rodriguez, Katy Moore, and Keiran HarrisTranscriptions: Katy Moore
