Low-slung Polygon Window-esque acid from Tramic on Kulture Galeri's Metropolitan Soul Museum round 2: https://www.theransomnote.com/music/premiere-tramic-lanterns-kulture-galerie/ In a Tramic town, lanterns aglow, Kulture Galerie, where nonsense does flow. Dancing Tramic with lanterns in hand, In a whimsical world, oh, so grand. Pigs recite news, cows wear polka-dot, Lanterns paint rainbows, a peculiar lot. Kulture Galerie, a surreal decree, Where whimsy and folly dance merrily. Elephants strum guitars, as snails scribe verse, A tale of Tramic, lanterns, and whimsy diverse. In this fanciful land of peculiar spree, Kulture Galerie, a nonsense jubilee.

Bside Incoming: Metropolitan Soul Museum We're welcoming a London based duo to the Bside Turntables. Filippo and Nick Woolfson (Mock and Toof) used to run Teng Records and play together at the city's premier venues like Peckham's Rye Wax and DreamBags Juguarshoes, but for more than five years now they've operated under the name: Metropolitan Soul Museum (MSM) They are top class producer's and have released their ‘sonically melodic' brand of electronic music on labels like Public Release, Rawax, Gestalt Records, Normals Welcome, Echocentric Records, Lyssna Records. Filippo even played us a couple of their lovely productions! The beautiful E State from their Travellers EP as well as Call Super's remix of one of Nick's (Mock and Toof) tracks called The Key. But here's a banging Bside from their first release on a label that has featured on our 'Bside of' showcase … Toy Tonics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKckrFX-Dug Check their soundcloud here - https://soundcloud.com/metropolitan-soul-museum And their Bandcamp - https://metropolitansoulmuseum.bandcamp.com/releases A special shout out, for this episode, to our artist-in-residence Molly. Her art is incredible and her contribution to the Bside image invaluable, but we're particularly loving her recent depiction of MSM chilling with their little synths! Check out www.instagram.com/mollyth.art/ for more wonderful creations from her and reach her if you're interested in commissions or prints. Chubby! on Facebook: www.facebook.com/chubbyrecords @deeprhythms Chubby! Podcast brings in the prolific and dedicated DJ Timo Deeprhythms for episode 88. Hailing from Helsinki, Finland; his taste in music is healthy, focused on bringing light to lesser known, underground Deep House and of course more in his mixes that stimulate the dance floor. Deeprhythms is no newcomer to selection either, as demonstrated by the classic Deeprhythms website and radio show he runs since 2001. His admiration in taste is much like a producer at work as much as he is a DJ, with his mixes and label curations often going into deep, colourful, and acidic manifestations. Indeed, Timo has purveyed the good music through the times, from the years before heavy social media to the current world often represented online. His dedication to getting underground Electronic music heard and felt in the way it inspires him led to the eventual creation of his own label, Echocentric Records with their inaugural release in the summer of 2019...A little over a year later, Deeprhythms has curated greatly talented artists with the excellent music to match on both vinyl and digital, including releases from: DJ Life, Rai Scott, Böhm, Junk Runner, Metropolitan Soul Museum, Dylan Forbes, Armec, Solar Suite- all covering the vast ranges of true Electronic music in style...indeed the vision is dynamic and unique, and made to be played for a long while. Deeprhythms also co-runs Coymix LTD, a label with a similar philosophy, with his friend Steffan T. With over 20 years of selection and tastes in fine tuning the sharpest ears, expect a true treat from Timo Deeprhytms as he stops by to get the Chubby! party in gear. From colourful and hypnotic Deep Techno and Breaks to Acid, House, and Electro - fasten your seatbelts for this exclusive ride as Timo Deeprhythms takes you on the listening journey where you want to go...Holiday times are near, and its time to serve a hot plate of Chubby! From the embers of Mock & Toof (DFA, Mule Musiq) came Metropolitan Soul Museum: a collaboration between Nick from the duo and his pal Filippo. Explorers of the deep, they have released on Toy Tonics, Catz & Dogz’s Step, Beats Of No Nation and Rawax, and will soon release an EP on Monologues Records. With a love of analog gear and deep deep sounds imbued with a soulful edge, their distinctive style is both hypnotic and groovy that blends house and techno history in equal measures (a healthy dash of Detroit therein). Let them take you on a trip through their catalogue and some forthcoming releases. *How would you describe your sound?* Melodic, analog and... *What and who inspires you and influences your sound?* From jazz to electronic music, it really changes every day. *Can you tell us a little about this mix and what it means to you?* We are quite happy to have manage to play our music only and what came out is actually a homogeneous mix with an organic and natural progression. Metropolitan Soul Museum are London based synth enthusiasts who've been putting out some lovely releases over the last year and a bit now. We premiered a track off their @trunkfunk release last month and thought they would be a great guest in the mix series for a trip into the more electronic and deep side of things. The mix includes 2 forthcoming tracks from them, a few unreleased bits from friends and 2 of the tracks from their latest LP for Dionysian Mysteries. @metropolitan-soul-museum

A track from the long-awaited new Gold Panda record kicks us off this week, where we revisit a few podcast favourites who have new records on the way. It's not all old favourites though, we've got new music from podcast debutants, including LA pop from Nvdes, gnarly rock from Arabrot, afro-funk from The Jagger Batchway Group, and odd electronics from Eartheater. New records from Fumaça Preta, The Cosmic Dead, Jimi Tenor, Apostle, and Metropolitan Soul Museum add up to an exceptional hour of new music.
This week’s show includes brand new, forthcoming house music from Claude (AKA Fulgeance) and the as-yet unknown Metropolitan Soul Museum. There’s more band new music from the Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band, Spacehaul, Wrongtom, and Romperayo. Tom from the Horrors has a library collaboration that we feature a cut from, we also have ambient hiphop from Sela, Saharan sounds from Mariem Hassan Con Leyoad and some innovative synth sounds from Ghostwriters.
