So were going to see Superboys of different ages, but our Earthbound characters are the same age. See how that changes thing. See the difference in the relationship between the characters? In episode 190 of the Man of Screen podcast, Mike Zummo returns to discuss two of the strongest episodes of Season 3 of “The Adventures of Superboy”, a two-parter different from nearly every episode of the series. What happens when Superboy thinks that he may have killed a man? What does that do to his self confidence and is that enough to get the Boy of Steel to hang up his cape? Its also the most grounded story, a very crime noir tale that could stand up there with the best episodes of the first season of “The Adventures of Superman,” as soldiers from a Caribbean island – which gives the villains a distinct accent - but a fictional home. What are their plans for Capital City? Will they win the day? Or will Superboy experience a “Rebirth”? Also, Dave McElvenney shared a link in his feedback this week. Winchester Mystery House - Wikipedia Lynn S.M. also provide a link on the house. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/take-virtual-tour-winchester-mystery-house-180974510/ Next time: Superboy fights a “Werewolf” and we go to court and bear witness to the “People vs. Metallo”.Feedback for this show can be sent to: manofscreen@gmail.comCheck out the homepage for the show. First, were going to see the return of an old foe. One that is seeking help. This time, she lights a fire instead of tearing up the street. But theres also a creature and what are its feelings. Is it a killer, or does it have something else In mind? Come, let me tell you story of “Neila and the Beast”. And then, were going to face a problem a little closer to home. Hatred. Bigotry and the damaging effect it has not only on the bigot victim. A Jewish author is going to channel his hatred into a creature. While stamping out bigotry is a noble cause, what happens when the creator loses control of the creation? When is the cure worse than the disease? How does on control a “Golem”? Next time: Were going to experience “A Day in the Life” and then Lex Luthor and Superboy perform a “Bodyswap”.Feedback for this show can be sent to: manofscreen@gmail.comCheck out the homepage for the show.
