Hey Loves! This week we've got a truly inspiring episode as I sit down with Dicte Frost, a dear friend and powerful leader in this exciting moment of humanity's steps forward. She is one of the founders of an emerging intentional community called Earthbound Ecovillage. "Earthbound is an upcoming ecovillage and think tank in Sweden centered around the 3 pillars of Conscious Relationships, Regenerative Living and Earth-Centered Awareness. It is a deep-end and wide vision of a center for grounded and land-based transformation and a pilot project for how we can create truly regenerative human and other-than-human communities." In this episode we get into: -what it means to be a founder of an ecovillage -what is an ecovillage? -systemic aikido and what it means to use the power of the current paradigm to create something alternative -and obviously a bunch more If you wanna learn more about how you can engage with Earthbound, check out the links below . Pastor Sean kicks off our new series exploring the contrast between two types of passion: one that leads to destruction and another that leads to compassion and kingdom-building. Using the stories of Herod's sinful decisions and Jesus' miraculous feeding of the 5,000, he highlights how Herod's selfish passions lead to death, while Jesus' divine compassion brings life and healing. we are called to develop a "Heaven Meets Earth" mindset, where we tap into heavenly resources, rely on the Holy Spirit, and bring God's kingdom into every aspect of our lives.
In this episode, Mike and Julie sit down to talk about a remote viewing session they did together to cross over an earthbound spirit that was affecting his physically and mentally ill wife. It was a very unique situation that had it's obstacles, but turned out to be a successful mission!Thank you for being here and we wish you a peaceful New Year!Julie & Mike xoxo
Today's guest is a busy guy. He never seems to stop working. It's Django Haskins from The Old Ceremony. And with a name like Django, your future is basically pre-determined. Music was big part of his parents' (and therefore, his) lives. His parents were a folk duo and had Django playing classical violin at age five. He's been in rock bands since the age of thirteen. And that includes while he was studying literature at Yale and spending a year in China. DId I mention that he got life advice from Ike & Tina's sax player? Well he did. And it stuck because his band, The Old Ceremony, is celebrating 20 years together. Django talks about how he went from Django & The Regulars, International Orange, Au Pair, and Big Star's Third to The Old Ceremony's latest release called Earthbound. That journey includes writing and pasta sessions at Jack Hardy's place, moving from NYC to NC, and writing over 100 songs during the pandemic. Earthbound is The Old Ceremony's first album in nine years, but it was worth the wait. Pick it up wherever you get music or through theoldceremony.com. Follow them on social media @theoldceremony. Follow us @PerformanceAnx and grab some merch at performanceanx.threadless.com. Send us coffee money through ko-fi.com/performanceanxiety. This interview is only available on video. There are no audio links to download. In this powerful two-hour interview, aerospace consultant Dr. Carol Rosin reveals a groundbreaking treaty she developed with her colleagues, including astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell, designed to keep space free from weaponization. Dr. Rosin reflects on her journey, detailing how she came to work with Dr. Werner von Braun in the 1970s, and shares the chilling "deathbed confession" von Braun entrusted her with. He warned that the U.S. would use escalating global threats to justify space-based weapons, with the final card being an alien invasion. Von Braun also predicted that the alien threat wouldn't materialize until the public stopped believing in Earthbound warsa point Dr. Rosin believes we are now witnessing. Despite enduring threats, blackmail, theft, and physical attacks alongside her husband, Dr. Rosin bravely decided to step forward and advocate for the Outer Space Security and Development Treaty of 2011. As she boldly asks: Would we rather have weapons above our heads, or transform the war industry into a peaceful World Cooperative Space Industry?
How do we become the change we need to see in the world? What are the actual, practical steps to grounding, connecting and resonating with the world? We're on the brink of cataclysmic change. Knowing this, we have choices: we can either fold into despair, terror, rage…whatever rises up in us as we watch the whole biosphere hurtle towards irrevocable tipping points. Or we can become the change we need to see in the world: each of us. This is a cliché by now, but that doesn't stop it being true. Here are others: we are the people we have been waiting for and if not us, now then who and when? We've been saying these for a long time and if you're listening to this podcast, then you're already on board, at least intellectually. You know there is no going back, that ideology cannot win out over biophysical reality and avoiding ecosystem collapse doesn't just mean moving to regenerative farming or buying second hand clothes or even changing all the narratives of all the world's media systems - good though each of these things would be. But there's been a gap between what we know and how we behave, between where our better selves might push us and the behaviours that are locked into the core of our being, our firmware, if you like. But now - this minute now - we're hitting the buffers where the old paradigm is so obviously not fit for purpose that we need something new. The core questions are what? And how? And this is where we're going with the podcast just now - After Dr John Izzo of the Elders Action Network reminded us of our purpose on the earth, and Andrea Hiott of Waymaking helped us embrace paradox - now we're talking to someone who can help guide us into the embodied reality of a different way of being. Dan McTiernan is a certified Transpersonal Psychology Coach, embodied meditation teacher and breathwork instructor. With is wife Johanna, he's the co-founder of embodied coaching organisation, Earthbound. He hosts the Being Earthbound podcast which is absolutely on my must-listen list, as is the Substack blog from which it arises. He's a facilitator on Alef Trust's Nurturing the Fields of Change programme and is the project leader for the Embodied Permaculture Project - an international 2-year action research project exploring the impacts of holistic wellbeing on outer ecological change work. The first 9 weeks of this programme are about to be released as a self-study course - and by the time this podcast ends, you will want to join up with that - I'll put a link in the show notes as soon as I have one - hopefully before this goes live. He is currently working with Alef Trust and the A Team Foundation to deliver an innovative project supporting farmers and growers in the UK with a programme of embodied wellbeing known as Calmer Farmer which will be launched in January 2025.As you'll hear, Dan is working at the leading edge of the change we need to embody. He has straightforward practices that any of us can do to help us with grounding, attunement, opening and integration so that we can be the nodes in the web of life. This is key people: we need to stop trying to think our way out of this with our head minds. It doesn't work. It's not going to work. We need to come into our physical bodies, find that truly calming place of peace - and then find connections we can trust with the wider web. This is what we're here for. And Dan has routes to get there. Formed in 2004 The Old Ceremony has survived longer than many marriages. They've reinvented themselves again and again, beginning as an eleven-piece mini-orchestra, slimming down to a five-piece touring machine (guitar, bass, drums, vibraphone/keys, violin), and now – in their 20th year together – creating a fresh, energized record that incorporates the visceral (“Valerie Solanas”), the meditative (“North American Grain”), the philosophical (“Too Big To Fail”), and a nod back to their noir-ish beginnings (“Lonely Mayor”). Songwriter and vocalist/guitarist Django Haskins' gift for incisive, colorful lyrics and melodies is on full display throughout, whether it be an unhinged first-person tale of shooting Andy Warhol or the melancholy last act of a long-closeted politician. He writes with empathy and precision that occasionally calls to mind the source of the band's name, Leonard Cohen, among others. In fact, the songs contained in Earthbound are culled from the 115 new songs Haskins penned during the pandemic. When tossed into the well-seasoned cauldron of the band's collective musical voices, they transform from one person's songs into something else: the sound of a band that has created together for two decades, through highs and lows, busy years of touring and slow years of child-rearing and mask wearing. The Old Ceremony has seen their share of highlights: sharing bills with the Jayhawks, CAKE, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Mountain Goats, Chuck Berry, Giant Sand, and many more; touring the U.S., Canada, and Europe; building their stature in the fertile Chapel Hill/Durham scene one cinematic performance at a time. Meanwhile band leader Django Haskins in addition to participating in the Big Star tribute tours, co-wrote and recorded an album of Folk-Rock originals with the Jayhawks' Gary Louris under the name “Au Pair.” Earthbound is destined to be another highlight to add to the list, a musical recommitment ceremony among five musicians who share a life in song. Welcome to cast space. Welcome back (finally!) to the podcast. Today, we're going to be talking about Omori, a turn-based RPG with a unique art style and dark themes. Though, as we discuss in the episode, don't think too much of Omori based on its genre, because it's really putting its worst foot forward. Omori has rich characters, relatable themes and effective comedy. It's a silly game in the same vein as Earthbound where you fight cartoon sharks and your happy characters will deal more damage against angry foes, but it's real strength is in making you learn more and more about your party members and their associated friends before stabbing you right in the heart. The game is billed as having psychological horror elements, and those are there, but the game is also profoundly sad and surprisingly moving. And on top of that, it has a combat system that has some depth to it, but takes a long time to come into its own and adds a level of tedium to a game that otherwise keeps you wanting to move forward. We're going to be talking about the slow build of the combat and where it shines, the tonal differences and how much of it we think was intentional, and we tell you how not to discuss Chrono Trigger. We've been pretty busy, so we apologize for the extremely long delay between episodes. Omori is at least a bit of a gem, so hopefully you enjoy the episode. We still have two more games for Halloween to cover, so we'll be staying in the genre over the next couple weeks despite the scheduling issues. Did you participate in the Omori Kickstarter? Is it a game you heard about later and checked out based on the art style or the themes? Let us know in the comments below or over on our Discord! Next time, we're going to be talking about Cryptmaster, so we hope you'll join us then!
Ecclesiastes 3:12-15It's easy to lose ourselves to fantasy. But God's divine perspective grounds us in a proper view of the real world. He alone provides meaning and purpose to an otherwise pointless life.

Today we speak to East-West Psychology adjunct faculty Susana Bustos, about growing up in Chile and how her roots in music and psychology lead her to study music therapy. We then discuss how South American Indigenous healing practices can be considered as a forms of earth-bound spirituality, and how that gives rise to alternative notions of relationality bound by a local ethics of care. Susana speaks about plant medicine as psycho-integrators and we discuss the importance of integration in Indigenous healing practices. The discussion ends developing ideas about sonic ecology in which Susana shares an experience of singing as mystical encounter with sentience, and we explore immanent approaches to learning the ethics of cross-cultural confluence through deep listening. Susana Bustos, Ph.D. (CIIS, 2008), M.A in Clinical Psychology and in Music Therapy from Chilean universities, is adjunct faculty at the California Institute of Integral Studies and other schools in the Bay Area and abroad. Susana also conducts independent research on entheogenic shamanic traditions of the Americas and holds a private practice in Berkeley, CA. Her teaching, research, and clinical work focus mainly on the healing potential of non-ordinary states of consciousness, their integration into ordinary life, and on the quest for adequately bridging Amerindian cosmologies and practices into the West. Susana has written articles and book contributions on the interphase of shamanic song and healing and on entheogenic integration, and she lectures internationally on these topics. She directed the Spiritual Emergence Network in the US between 2016 and 2020. Doch was macht dieses Spiel wirklich so besonders? Step into a Dimensional Slip: intermittent interludes in “MOTHER,” She Wrote's journey - where we speak with guests from a multitude of backgrounds and delve deeper into the themes, media, and fandom that make up the tapestry of the EarthBound experience. The MOTHER series is known for its distinctive visuals; whether it's the vivid and playful pixel art of the games or its bold graphic design. But there's another key component that's highly unusual and lent to the series' distinct visual identity: clay figures of all the characters. From main heroes and villains down to the most worthless of protoplasms, MOTHER and EarthBound advertising and players guides are filled with photos of hyper-detailed, hand-made clay figurines - all the work of sculptor Masao Tottori. In this episode we share what we know about this mysterious artist and speak with two artists inspired by his work: Camille Young (aka Meeellla) and Justyn (aka Cosmix). Camille is a mixed media artist whose sculptures and figures appear in Fangamer's EarthBound and MOTHER 3 Handbooks and Cosmix is a character craftsman who routinely dazzles fans with his expansive roster of figurines. They're two sculptors from two very different generations of the MOTHER fandom. They share with us their MOTHER origin stories, artistic inspirations, and for all of you physical media artists out there: their tricks of the trade so you too can explore new dimensions of 3D art.
