Dr. Michael McKee is sitting in an Illinois jail charged with murdering his ex-wife Monique Tepe and her husband Spencer in Columbus, Ohio. The evidence against him is mounting — a preliminary NIBIN match linking a firearm from his Chicago penthouse to shell casings at the crime scene, surveillance footage of his vehicle arriving before the killings and leaving after, and video of a hooded figure in the alley at 3:52 AM. But this investigation still has gaps. Police say there was no forced entry at the Tepe home. They haven't explained how McKee allegedly got inside. And they haven't addressed the question that's puzzling everyone who's followed this case: why would a vascular surgeon — a man whose career depends on precision — allegedly keep the murder weapon in his own apartment for eleven days? Former FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer joins True Crime Today to analyze the forensic evidence, the surveillance timeline, and what investigators might be holding back. We examine the behavioral red flags that emerged months before these murders — McKee allegedly gave his employer a fake address, a malpractice process server tried nine times to locate him without success, and a former colleague said he "just disappeared." Coffindaffer explains what these patterns suggest and why McKee's decision to talk to police before invoking his right to remain silent could be the prosecution's most valuable asset. The defense has already signaled their strategy — McKee waived extradition and requested a speedy return to Ohio to plead not guilty. Two major cases. One attorney breaking down the evidence, the strategy, and where the legal system fails. Eric Faddis joins True Crime Today for a comprehensive analysis. On the Reiner case: Alan Jackson withdrew under circumstances he's "legally prohibited" from explaining — but declared Nick "not guilty of murder" on his way out. There's a sealed medical order. Ten sealed subpoenas. Nick appeared in a suicide prevention smock and reportedly isn't medically stabilized. Eric examines the competency question, what the gas station footage means, and whether losing Jackson fundamentally changes Nick's chances. On the McKee prosecution: Police announced a preliminary ballistic link through NIBIN connecting a weapon from McKee's property to the Tepe murders. Surveillance footage traced a vehicle to him — arriving before the killings, leaving after. Charges were upgraded to premeditated aggravated murder, death penalty eligible. Eric breaks down what evidence prosecutors need, how ballistics can be challenged, and what defense strategies remain for someone pleading not guilty. On domestic violence: The Tepe divorce records show no abuse allegations — just "incompatibility." But Monique's family says she was emotionally abused and "just had to get away from him." Eight years after the divorce, court activity brought McKee and Monique back together. Six months later, she was dead. Eric examines why victims don't document abuse, how the system treats emotional abuse differently, and whether this was a threat that could ever have been legally prevented. For anyone recognizing their situation in Monique's story, Eric offers legal advice on protection — and where the system's limits are.#EricFaddis #NickReiner #MichaelMcKee #MoniqueTepe #SpencerTepe #TrueCrimeToday #InsanityDefense #Ballistics #DomesticViolence #TrueCrimeJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Attorney Eric Faddis breaks down the legal landscape across two major cases — and exposes where the system works, where it fails, and what happens next.In the Nick Reiner case: Alan Jackson issued ten sealed subpoenas before withdrawing. He declared Nick "not guilty of murder" on the courthouse steps. There's a sealed medical order. Nick appeared in a suicide prevention smock. His medications aren't stabilized. Eric examines the competency question, what those subpoenas might reveal, and why the gas station surveillance footage showing Nick "calm" after the murders cuts both ways.In the Tepe case: Police announced a preliminary NIBIN ballistic link connecting a weapon from Dr. McKee's property to the murders. Surveillance footage captured a vehicle traced to McKee arriving before and leaving after. Charges were upgraded to premeditated aggravated murder — death penalty eligible. Eric breaks down what "preliminary" ballistic evidence means, whether it can be challenged, and what defense strategies remain. Then there's the domestic violence angle. Monique Tepe's family says she was emotionally abused. But the divorce records show no DV allegations, no protection orders — just "incompatibility." Eight years after the divorce, court activity brought McKee and Monique back together. Six months later, she was dead.Eric examines why victims choose not to document abuse, how the legal system treats emotional abuse versus physical abuse, and whether court filings can be weaponized to force contact with an ex-spouse.For anyone watching who recognizes their own situation in Monique's story, Eric offers legal advice on what steps victims can take to protect themselves — and where the system's limits are.#EricFaddis #NickReiner #MichaelMcKee #MoniqueTepe #SpencerTepe #HiddenKillers #InsanityDefense #Ballistics #DomesticViolence #TrueCrimeJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? The Evidence Police Say Proves Michael McKee Killed the Tepes Columbus Police have now revealed critical evidence in the investigation into the brutal murders of Spencer Tepe and Monique Tepe — and tonight, we break down exactly what investigators disclosed during their official news conference. In this episode of Police Off The Cuff, we analyze the evidence police say links Michael McKee to the Tepe double homicide, including ballistic findings, search warrant results from McKee's apartment, vehicle movement evidence, and digital forensic data recovered by investigators. According to Columbus Division of Police, this case was built through a convergence of physical, digital, and forensic evidence — not speculation or public pressure. We explain how ballistic matching works, why search-warrant recoveries matter in homicide cases, how vehicle tracking strengthens timelines, and why digital evidence often becomes the silent witness in modern prosecutions. This episode focuses strictly on verified facts, investigative procedures, and what police actually said — separating evidence from rumor and explaining how these cases are prepared for court and eventual trial. If you want a clear, professional breakdown of the evidence — from a law-enforcement perspective — you're in the right place. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Reading and analysis of Kyle Anzalone's recent article published at The Libertarian Institute.
Listen to the article with analysis from the author: The UK is attempting to build a new tactical missile for Ukraine that will have a range of over 300 miles. The initiative, dubbed “Project Nightfall,” aims to develop a ground-launched tactical ballistic missile with a range of 310 miles and a 450-pound warhead. If that metric is met, it will be one of the longest-range weapons the West has provided to Ukraine. The project will come with a substantial price tag for London and likely take years before the missiles are operational. The UK has awarded three companies $12 million to design a prototype missile. London expects to conduct the first testfire in a year. The UK expects each Project Nightfall missile to cost over $1 million once the munition enters production. London also expects to incorporate the missiles into its arsenal. Minister for Defence Readiness and Industry, Luke Pollard, said, “A secure Europe needs a strong Ukraine. These new long-range British missiles will keep Ukraine in the fight and give Putin another thing to worry about.” Moscow views the West supplying Ukraine with long-range munitions as highly provocative. Kiev has launched multiple attacks on military, civilian, and energy targets inside Russia. Moscow has also pummeled Ukraine with nightly waves of missile and drone attacks. Last week, Russia destroyed a Ukrainian aircraft repair facility with an Oreshnik hypersonic missile.

Breaking case update: Ashlee Buzzard has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the killing of her 9-year-old daughter Melodee Buzzard. The criminal complaint alleges Ashlee shot Melodee multiple times in the head with a 9mm handgun, with special allegations of cruelty, viciousness, and lying in wait. Here's what investigators say happened. On October 7th, Ashlee rented a Chevrolet Malibu and left California with Melodee. Surveillance footage captured both wearing wigs — Melodee in a dark, straight-haired wig that looked nothing like her natural curls. Over three days, the car traveled through Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, and Colorado. Ashlee allegedly swapped the plates and backed into gas stations to avoid detection. The last confirmed sighting of Melodee was October 9th near the Colorado-Utah border. Ashlee returned home October 10th without her daughter. She refused to explain where Melodee was. For ten weeks, investigators watched Ashlee while building the case — but couldn't arrest her without proof Melodee was dead. That proof came December 6th when a couple found remains in a remote Utah desert. Ballistic evidence matched a shell casing from Ashlee's home. DNA confirmed the body was Melodee. Ashlee was arrested December 23rd, two days before Christmas. She has pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors are seeking life without parole. The murder weapon has not been recovered. No motive has been established. Melodee's paternal grandmother, who hadn't seen her in years, told reporters: "How can you do that to a baby?" #AshleeBuzzard #MelodeeBuzzard #TrueCrimePodcast #CaliforniaCrime #JusticeForMelodee #TrueCrimeAudio #FBI #UtahCrime #Lompoc #HiddenKillers Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISDOES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Ashlee Buzzard is now charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 9-year-old daughter Melodee Buzzard. According to prosecutors, Ashlee shot Melodee multiple times in the head and left her body in a remote Utah desert. But the path to this arrest took over two months — and the reason why is infuriating. Investigators knew almost immediately that something was wrong. On October 7th, 2025, Ashlee rented a car and took Melodee on a road trip spanning eight states. Surveillance footage showed both wearing wigs. Ashlee allegedly swapped license plates mid-trip and backed into gas stations to avoid cameras. On October 9th, Melodee was captured on surveillance near the Colorado-Utah border. It was the last time she was seen alive. Ashlee came home the next day — alone. She never explained where Melodee was. She never cooperated. Investigators surveilled her around the clock, executed multiple search warrants, and found a spent shell casing in her home. But without a body, they couldn't prove murder. That changed December 6th when photographers in Utah's Wayne County discovered remains on a dirt road. Ballistics linked the scene to Ashlee's home. DNA confirmed it was Melodee. Ashlee was arrested December 23rd and pleaded not guilty. Melodee's grandmother — who hadn't seen her in years — received a call from detectives: "The baby is with her dad now." Melodee's father died when she was six months old. No motive. No murder weapon. No answers. Just a 9-year-old who deserved so much better. #AshleeBuzzard #MelodeeBuzzard #TrueCrimePodcast #CaliforniaCrime #JusticeForMelodee #TrueCrimeAudio #FBI #UtahCrime #Lompoc #HiddenKillers Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISDOES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? In this episode, we take a hard look at the second police interrogation of Richard Allen and the claims investigators made about ballistics evidence. Authorities described the forensic link between Allen's firearm and a bullet allegedly recovered near the Delphi crime scene as ironclad. But experts have repeatedly warned that this type of comparison is far more fragile than the public is led to believe. We break down why this ambiguity matters, how overstated science can shape an interrogation, and how investigators used these claims to amplify psychological pressure in the room. Despite being confronted with confident assertions about gun evidence, Allen maintained his innocence throughout questioning. His refusal to accept the narrative being pushed at him raises a deeper question: How much weight should be placed on a form of forensic testing that many specialists view as subjective at best? We also examine Allen's deteriorating mental state during more than a year spent in solitary confinement—conditions typically reserved for the most dangerous offenders, not individuals awaiting trial. His jailhouse phone calls reveal a man unraveling: confused, disoriented, desperate for relief. At his lowest moments, Allen even tells his wife he would falsely confess if it would end their suffering, highlighting the devastating psychological toll isolation can inflict. This episode forces listeners to confront uncomfortable truths about interrogation tactics, the limits of ballistics evidence, and the immense pressure a vulnerable suspect can face inside the criminal justice system. It's a stark reminder of how quickly the presumption of innocence can erode when a system leans harder on coercion than clarity. #DelphiCase #RichardAllen #TrueCrimeNews #BallisticsEvidence #InterrogationAnalysis #SolitaryConfinement #JusticeSystemFailure #HiddenKillers #TrueCrimePodcast #DueProcessRights Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? GDP Script/ Top Stories for December 4th Publish Date: December 4th PRE-ROLL: SUGAR HILL ICE SKATING From the BG AD Group Studio Welcome to the Gwinnett Daily Post Podcast. Today is Thursday, December 4th and Happy birthday to Jeff Bridges I’m Peyton Spurlock and here are your top stories presented by KIA Mall of Georgia. Lake Lanier Association Completes Phase Three of Shoreline Protection Program Hilscher wins another term in Suwanee City Council Police aim to deter youth gun violence in slain officer's memory Plus, Leah McGrath from Ingles Markets on carrots All of this and more is coming up on the Gwinnett Daily Post podcast, and if you are looking for community news, we encourage you to listen daily and subscribe! Break 1: GCPS Hiring STORY 1: Lake Lanier Association Completes Phase Three of Shoreline Protection Program Lake Lanier’s shoreline just got a little more secure—5,280 feet of it, to be exact. The Lake Lanier Association (LLA) announced the completion of the third phase of Project Armor, its ongoing effort to fight erosion caused by heavy boat traffic. This phase reinforced 16 badly eroded areas with rip rap, a method that helps absorb wave energy and protect the shoreline. Over the past 12 years, the LLA has armored 3 miles of shoreline, saving 28 islands and areas from disappearing into the lake. Why does it matter? These islands aren’t just pretty—they’re vital. They provide wildlife habitats, beaches, and safe spots for fishing and recreation. Without protection, some islands have already vanished, and erosion is making the lake shallower, threatening both recreation and the drinking water supply for over 5 million Georgians. This project, supported by partners like the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and local counties, is far from over. With 12 million visitors a year, Lake Lanier’s waves aren’t slowing down anytime soon. STORY 2: Hilscher wins another term in Suwanee City Council Suwanee City Councilwoman Beth Hilscher is sticking around for another four years after edging out David Martinez in Tuesday’s runoff for the Post 4 seat. Unofficial results show Hilscher pulled in 734 votes to Martinez’s 638. Suwanee wasn’t the only Gwinnett city with a runoff—Duluth voters also hit the polls to decide the Post 3 City Council race between incumbent Lamar Doss and challenger Marlene Denise Tucker. In Suwanee, it’s Hilscher who’s celebrating. STORY 3: Police aim to deter youth gun violence in slain officer's memory Gwinnett County police have rolled out a new program aimed at steering kids away from guns while honoring Officer Antwan Toney, who was tragically killed in the line of duty seven years ago. Called Toney’s Program, it launched in September and focuses on first-time or minor handgun offenses among juveniles. The program, named after Toney—who was shot by a teen in 2018—pairs participants with mentors for a seven-week curriculum and three months of follow-up support. Families are involved too, attending sessions alongside their kids. Teens hear from gun violence victims and learn conflict resolution, emotional awareness, and nonviolent decision-making. The first group graduated last month, with the next starting in January. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Call 770.874.3200 for more info. We’ll be right back Break 2: 07.14.22 KIA MOG- DTL HOLIDAY STORY 4: Snellville man convicted of attacking former basketball teammates A Snellville man, just 20 years old, is headed to prison for 25 years after a string of violent attacks on his former high school basketball teammates. Jet Horne, once a senior on South Gwinnett High’s 2022-23 team, was convicted last week on a laundry list of charges—aggravated assault, firearm possession, criminal damage, even hijacking a car. The incidents? Three separate attacks between December 2024 and May 2025. In December, Horne ambushed Talal Ansah, shooting him eight times as he returned home from work. Ansah barely survived. Then, in March, Horne fired into Timair Walker’s car, injuring a neighbor with a stray bullet. By May, he escalated—holding Maalik Leitch at gunpoint, stealing his BMW, and leading police on a chase. Ballistics tied it all together, sealing Horne’s fate. “This was a violent, senseless series of crimes,” said DA Patsy Austin-Gatson. “We’re grateful for justice and continue to pray for the victims.” STORY 5: BOYS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Dacula Keeps Rolling with Lopsided Win Dacula cruised past Jackson County on Tuesday night, dominating with an 82-58 win in boys basketball. Case Presley was unstoppable, racking up 20 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists. Josh Brown added 15 points, six boards, and four steals, while Dorian Douglas chipped in 15 points, five steals, and four assists. Kenny LaRue (nine points, six assists), Luke Anderson (nine points), and Caleb Golding (nine points, four rebounds) rounded out the Falcons’ balanced attack. Dacula now sits at 6-1 on the season. ATLANTA FALCONS: The Falcons, with six losses in their last seven games, will take on the Seahawks, who’ve won six of their last seven. Led by coach Mike Macdonald and quarterback Sam Darnold, the 9-3 Seahawks face the Falcons at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. U.S. MENS SOCCER: The U.S. Men’s National Team will face Belgium, Portugal, and Germany in a high-stakes pre-World Cup series. Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium hosts two matches: USA vs. Belgium on March 28 at 3:30 p.m. ET and USA vs. Portugal on March 31 at 7 p.m. ET. Both games will air on TNT, HBO Max, Telemundo, and Peacock. We’ll be right back. Del Whitman is back to help explain shotshell pressures and how to create optimal patterns. Del puts the mystery of shot ballistics into layman's terms, describing how patterns perform and how extreme pressures destroy pattern density and pose risks to fine guns. In response to a listener query, he also digs into the magical properties of TSS and Tungsten alloys, which seem to break all the rules.

BT & Sal kick off the segment with a mix of disgust and fascination over football player Cam Skattebo's latest viral stunt: chugging an energy drink from his cleat (a "Shoey"). Then, they dive into a fiery hypothetical: an Athletic-proposed trade for Tigers ace Tarik Skubal involving a Yankees package of Spencer Jones, Will Warren, and two pitching prospects. The hosts debate whether this offer is deliberately undervaluing Skubal compared to the Mets' reported trade pieces, reigniting the argument over the true quality of the Yankees' farm system. The conversation shifts to the upcoming Japanese posting window, with Sal confidently predicting the Mets and Yankees will each land a star, while Tierney is skeptical, fearing the Dodgers will collect everyone. They discuss the worrying scouting report on star hitter Munetaka Murakami and his inability to hit fastballs over 93 MPH. The segment wraps up by venting about high NBA ticket prices and the outrage fans feel when high-priced stars like Giannis sit out.
In this week’s Friday evening chat, journalist Tarric Brooker and I dive into the contentious issues surrounding housing costs in Australia. The latest data tells a sorry story for ordinary Australians, while the political class seem to be driving in a different direction. Iran's Nuclear Stalemate, Economic Crisis, and Missile Program Aspirations. Jonathan Schanzer discusses how Iran views the lack of peace or war with Israel as a dangerous stalemate, while aspiring to fire 2,000 ballistic missiles at once in a future conflict. Covert Israeli operations target Iranian missile facilities. Despite sanctions, Iran's oil exports have sharply increased (2.3 million barrels/day) due to lax enforcement, funneling money to regime kleptocrats. Domestic crises like water and power shortages are increasing internal desperation, as the regime prioritizes regional ambitions over the welfare of the average Iranian.
Russia's Winter Strikes on Ukrainian Energy and the Battle for Pokrovsk. John Hardie discusses how Russia is escalating its winter campaign against Ukrainian energy infrastructure using a higher percentage of hard-to-intercept ballistic missiles and drones. This aims to break Ukrainian will and create leverage for negotiations. On the front, the battle for Pokrovsk is difficult, with Russians infiltrating the city and disrupting logistics using fiber-optic-controlled FPV drones. Although Ukraine has succeeded in attriting Russian forces there, preserving manpower by avoiding a late withdrawal remains a critical concern.

In this episode, Jared Niblett from the Long Range Hunting Group joins for a deep-dive into the controversies and realities of long range hunting. The crew breaks down common misconceptions about ethical shooting distances, the impact of cartridge and bullet choices, and why internet debates often get it wrong. With candid stories from the field, hard data on real hunter performance, and a humorous look at the “boomer mentality” versus modern precision, this conversation explores the science behind terminal ballistics, the logistics of high-volume hunting, and how to separate useful knowledge from online noise.
