Weezie's 12 is a short form podcast by Cheers Charlotte host Jay Weezie.  Jay asks the same 12 questions to Industry, Influencers and Amateurs in the food and beverage world. Some questions are simple and some are little more thought provoking.  They all are in good fun to give you another side of the people that serve you beer, cook your food, or you follow on Instagram. In between full length episodes of Cheers Charlotte you'll get these 10-20 minute episodes of Weezie's 12.  Each week is a different person sometimes suggested by a previous guest of the show, but always someone interesting and creative. This week Jeff Fissel the Executive Director of the NC Brewers and Music Festival joins Weezie to answer the 12 questions.   Jeff runs one of our favorite festival in the state.  Over 40 breweries with live music and camping at historic Rural Hill in Huntersville.  We can't wait until this one comes back in 2022.  The post Ep – 18 – Weezie's 12 with Jeff Fissel of NC Brewers and Music Festival appeared first on Cheers Charlotte Radio | Craft Beer and Homebrew Podcast.

We're back at one of our favorite beer festivals of the year this week.  The NC Brewers and Music Festival at Rural Hill is a highlight of the spring festival season.  Unfortunately this year was a rainy mess but we made the best of it.  Big thanks to the ladies with the Podblast Studio for letting us use the studio.  It was a godsend to keep our equipment dry.   On the show this week we talked with NoDa Brewing owners Todd and Suzie Ford about Brizo Hard Seltzer, Craft Freedom, the opening of the O.G. location and the concerts they are putting on at the brewery.   Then Jay Schutz from One World Brewing about his brewery in Asheville, NC.  Starting with a one barrel set up in the basement of a downtown building and now with a second location in West Asheville they are making some great beer for Western NC.
