Better Decisions. Fewer Regrets. Can the decisions you make TODAY help you live the life you really want TOMORROW? Let's learn together through the power of PRE-DECIDING.
The saying "What you reap is what you sow" speaks to the cycle of cause and effect in our actions. Our world is corrupted by sin where selfish human desires drive everything. People seeking to serve themselves first can be seen in every area of life. However, the truth is that there are many who suffer physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The scripture reminds us that as believers in the church, we are called to help others before we help ourselves. Through the power of God and our obedience to His word, we have the ability to make a difference in the world. The question is, are we willing to rise to this challenge? Will you and I be the church God has called us to be? Sermon Outline @ http://bible.com/events/49214696

Galatians 6:1-10 needs to be that for me. It’s more than just a list. It has a culture, a milieu behind it. It has the Spirit of God under it - which we believe in the Holy Spirit’s inspiration of the Scriptures, so we know that. There is this imagery of harvest: of sowing, of reaping. But it is this first fruit of Jesus, the wheat that falls into the earth (John 12:24) that under-girds it all. That is the flowerbed for all. Jesus.

It sure feels nice when someone pays you a compliment, doesn’t it? This Sunday we are going to be talking about encouraging and building one another up. Let’s see what the scriptures teach us about this very important characteristic that every Christian should have.
Christians must take care of others, especially other Christians.
Christians must take care of others, especially other Christians.
Towards the end of Paul's letter to the Galatians he instructs them on how the church ought to conduct itself leaning on the righteousness of Christ rather than that of any individual. We see that we are called to humbly draw back those that find themselves in sin. Throughout being encouraged by the cultivation of sanctification.
Serving can get tiring, but we don't give up because of all the ways it benefits the Body of Christ and honors the Lord.
The Apostle Paul gives us guidance on how to live a spiritual life, and presents the principle that you reap what you sow.
Our life in the Spirit is lived out in humility, knowing that what we plant is what we harvest. Are we planting to live in the Spirit?

What is family? What is a church family? The ideal that we aspire to is a Trinitarian image of the home (and the church) where there is equal value, equal essence, and yet different functions among each member. Listen as Pastor Jeremy teaches us from 1 Timothy 3:14 and Galatians 6:1-11 in the sermon, The Church is Family.

Have you spent too much time watching the news? Are Facebook posts driving you mad? Is politics polluting your joy? What’s the answer? Worship! The last chapter of Galatians is super practical and answers some important questions about Godly communities and healthy families! Grace and law couldn’t produce more different community dynamics! Paul explains that healthy, Godly, grace-based communities include people who can honestly and gently address sin, know their value is from God, understand consequences, and know actions speak louder than words. How do we address destructive behaviour without enforcing law and punishment? How do we avoid tribalism and division? How do we see the church make a real and lasting impact in the community? Listen in and see!

Galatians 6:1-10 (CEB) 1 Brothers and sisters, if a person is caught doing something wrong, you who are spiritual should restore someone like this with a spirit of gentleness. Watch out for yourselves so you won't be tempted too. 2 Carry each other's burdens and so you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks they are important when they aren't, they're fooling themselves. 4 Each person should test their own work and be happy with doing a good job and not compare themselves with others. 5 Each person will have to carry their own load. 6 Those who are taught the word should share all good things with their teacher. 7 Make no mistake, God is not mocked. A person will harvest what they plant. 8 Those who plant only for their own benefit will harvest devastation from their selfishness, but those who plant for the benefit of the Spirit will harvest eternal life from the Spirit. 9 Let's not get tired of doing good, because in time we'll have a harvest if we don't give up. 10 So then, let's work for the good of all whenever we have an opportunity, and especially for those in the household of faith.
Connecting People to God in Christ
Galatians 6:6–10 - Turns to the theme of community responsibility, emphasizing, in particular, helping others financially, especially teachers and fellow believers. Part of what it means to march in step with the Spirit (5:25) is to care for the practical needs of other believers. Those who fulfil the law of Christ (6:2) are those who follow the example Christ set of self-giving love for others (5:14). Such love manifests itself in caring for the concrete needs of others.

What will you be reaping in the new season of 2012? What seed are you scattering now? We must learn to sow in the Spirit and not be weary to give up. In this message you will find out what two types of seed will influence every area of life. This is about generations to come!
Sowing and reaping applies not just to money but to every area of our lives. In everything we do, we expect to get out what we put in, and the same is the case in the kingdom of God. Understanding why we must be faithful in tithing is central to understanding how the kingdom is impacted by our gifts, financial or otherwise. When we realize that the principle of sowing and reaping affects every area of our lives, we will work so much harder and give so much more to the areas of our lives that help build us. (Galatians 6:1-10)
The periods of time when we are find ourselves "in between blessings"-- searching for answers, waiting for elevation, looking for dreams to turn reality, and desperately yearning for answered prayers--can be the most difficult times in our walk with God, if we allow it to be. If we approach these inevitable seasons in our lives with a Christlike attitude, however, we will find that it could be a season of tremendous growth in our lives because we can learn a lot about ourselves during this time that will carry us when God does bless us. While we're waiting, "in the meantime," bless God and take this time as a learning experience.
