The Lion King opens tonight in theaters nationwide and is expected to grab a big part of the box office this weekend. It Just Can't-Wait To Be King--- of the box office. See what I did there? I sat down for an interview with the young stars of the movie, Shahadi Wright Joseph and JD McCrary, during their Washington, DC press stop. The Lion King Parent Movie Review: https://noguiltfangirl.com/the-lion-king-parent-movie-review/ We talked a little Disney, what it's like to be part of the cast, and how many times they got to meet Beyonce (because, duh!). But my favorite part of the interview is when they talked about their dream roles someday. These kids aren't afraid to put goals out into the universe! You can find more from both of these artists through their music: Shine, Keep in Touch, and My Name from JD McCrary and Skin I'm In from Shahadi Wright Joseph

US by Jordan Peele, doesn’t disappoint! Some how he is able to exploit the audience’s fears while revealing the social ills of America without dragging down the film or coming off too preachy. This film unapologetically introduces the world to a highly educated deeply melanated suburban family that you’ll recognize in your family no matter the hue. As if that’s not enough Mr. Peele manages to give us the ending of a lifetime on par with that of Psycho. Prepare to have a gnat fest in your mouth because it will hang open in shock, horror, and dismay at the end! Take a listen and let us know if you agree.

After the enormous success of Jordan Peele's first feature film, "Get Out," he's back at the helm again with his followup, "Us" (which is currently in theaters). And, because of that, we went and saw it for our aptly-named In Theaters segment that we do on this show from time to time. But guess what? We disagreed on this one. Well, maybe our doppelgängers did. But find out which of *us* took a pair of scissors to the heart of this picture, and which has his heart tethered to it. **NOTE: THIS EPISODE CONTAINS SPOILERS** Quick Facts Release date: March 22, 2019 Runtime: 2 hours, 1 minute Starring: Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke, Elisabeth Moss, Tim Heidecker, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex, Madison Curry Directed by: Jordan Peele Tell us what you think by chatting with us (@filmsnuff) on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, or by shooting us an email over at mailbag@filmsnuff.com. The Filmlosophers, Eddie Villanueva, Chad Riley and Spencer Williams, fight to stay comfortable in their own skin this week with a review of Jorden Peele's sophomore film, Us (2019). Written and directed by Peele, who crafted the massively successful and thought-provoking Get Out (2017), Us provides a unique look at into human psychology and plays on the timeless fear of the shadow self by showing characters in active conflict against their own doppelgänger. Starring Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex, Elisabeth Moss, and Tim Heidecker, Us cements Peele's status as one of the 21st century's masters of suspense and emphasizes just how versatile and compelling Nyong'o has become as one of today's leading performers.
