Bu hareketlenmelerin bir ucu Gazze'ye, bir ucu Suriye'ye, bir ucu Terörsüz Türkiye'ye, ve ilginçtir, bir ucu da Rusya'ya, hatta Azerbaycan'a dokunuyor. Nasılını anlatayım. Önce PKK'nın silah bırakmasıyla ilgili süreçle başlayalım. Şu anda Terörsüz Türkiye sürecinin üçüncü aşamasındayız (Detaylar için; İşte Terörsüz Türkiye'nin Beş Evresi, 16 Mayıs.) Bu evre silah bırakma kararının pratiğe döküleceği aşamaydı. Örgütün Türkiye, Irak, Suriye ve İran'daki uzuvları için eşanlı bir takvim öngörülmüyordu. Kandil ve Suriye öncelikliydi. Örgütün İran yapılanması PJAK'ın geleceği ise belirsizdi. İran'ın bu konuda nasıl bir tutum takınacağı bilinmiyordu. Savaşın ardından Tahran da bu konuda destekçi bir pozisyona geçebilir. Ancak henüz somut bir işaret yok.

Cuma günü, “Felaket Senaryosu… ABD'nin Gece Saldırısı…” başlıklı yazımı “ABD çatışmaya bu haftasonu katılabilir” diyerek bitirmiştim. Trump'ın “Belki müdahaleye gerek kalmaz, İran'a iki hafta süre verdim” sözleri uluslararası kamuoyunda rahatlamaya yol açtı. Yorumlar buna göre yapılmaya başladı. Ama ben analizimde ısrarcıydım. Yine Cuma günü Sağır Oda programında “ABD muhtemelen Cumartesi gecesi İran'ı vuracak” dedim. Öyle de oldu…

Bir önceki yazımı şu cümleyle bitirmiştim: “İsrail'in yüksek teknolojisi, radara yakalanmayan uçakları, F-35'ler vesair çokça konuşulur. Ama Türk radarları o gece her şeyi gördü. Kuyruk numarasına kadar.” Bunun üzerine sosyal medyada bazı trol hesaplar kampanya başlattı. “Radarlar kuyruk numarası göremez” dediler. Gazetecilik yeteneklerimi sorguladılar.

13 Haziran Cuma günü çıkan yazım özetle şöyle bitiyordu: “İran, yaşanan gelişmeleri psikolojik harp/sinir harbi olarak görüyor ama yanılıyor. Gelişmeler sinir harbinden sıcak çatışmaya evriliyor.” Yazının mürekkebi kurumadan İsrail, İran'a saldırdı. Peki, İran bunu öngöremedi mi? Neden karşılık veremedi? Onu anlatacağım. O gece Türk hava sahasında neler yaşandığına ilişkin kulisleri de aktaracağım. Ancak önce birkaç hususu vurgulamam gerekiyor.

ABD Başkanı Trump-İsrail Başbakanı Netanyahu ilişkisi kopma noktasına gelmişti. Trump, Netanyahu ile fikir ayrılığı yaşıyordu. Gazze'deki tartışma stratejik değil taktikseldi. Suriye'de iki ülke farklı kamplara kaymıştı. Trump'ın Oval Ofis'te Netanyahu'yu “Makul ol” diye azarladığını hatırlayın. İran konusunda da İsrail Başbakanı'nın istediği noktaya gelmiyordu Trump. Netanyahu'ya mesafe koymuştu. Geçtiğimiz ay Tel Aviv'i bölge ziyaretinin dışında tutmuş, Savunma Bakanı Hegseth'in İsrail ziyaretini de iptal ettirmişti.

Kimsenin elinde sihirli değnek yok. Yeni dünya düzeninin ilk büyük konvansiyonel savaşı bu. Bir milyondan fazla kişi öldü. Ateşkesi sağlamak, barış şartlarını oluşturmak ve bunu imza altına almak için çetin ve sabırlı bir mücadele gerekiyor. Tarafların talepleri arasında uçurum var. Bu makas konuşmadan kapanmaz. Türk diplomasisinin İstanbul'da yapmaya çalıştığı şey tam da bu: Tarafları konuşturarak barışı mümkün kılmak. Bunun için geçilmesi gereken merhaleler var. İstanbul'da 16 Mayıs ve 2 Haziran'da yapılan müzakereler bunun parçasıydı. Ancak müzakereler, bu yolun ne kadar çetrefilli olduğunu da gözler önüne serdi. İlk turda yaşanan tartışmalarla ilgili bazı bilgileri paylaşmıştık. İkinci tur müzakerelerle ilgili yeni yansımalar ortaya çıkıyor. Aktaralım…

Memleket meselelerini idrak etmeye 90'ların başında başladım. O günler, bugünden farklıydı. Sosyal medya yoktu. Her gün önümüze şiddet içerikli videolar düşmüyordu. Bir yönüyle sansasyonel gelişmeler karşısında henüz “hissizleşmemiştik.”

Önceki gün yaşanan önemli bir gelişme de 30 Mayıs tarihli, “Savaşı Rus Topraklarına Taşıyacaklar” başlıklı yazımızı, dumanı üstünde tüterken teyit etti.

Mayıs ayı gündemi bir hayli yoğun… Bu ay Terörsüz Türkiye süreci, İstanbul'daki Ukrayna-Rusya barış görüşmeleri gibi kritik gelişmeleri çokça konuştuk. Bu yüzden iki nükleer güç arasındaki tehlikeli gerilime eğilememiştim. Hindistan ve Pakistan arasında sıcak çatışmaya dönüşen, daha sonra ateşkesle sönümlenen, ancak diplomasi sathında etkisi süren krizden bahsediyorum. Haftasonu Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan, Pakistan Başbakanı Şahbaz Şerif'i kabul etti. Bu vesileyle, meseleyle ilgili bazı gelişmeleri kayda geçirmenin doğru olacağını düşünüyorum.

Suriye sahasında önemli gelişmeler yaşanıyor, diplomatik düzlemde de ciddi bir hareketlilik var. Gelişmelerin çoğu pozitif. Öte yandan İsrail kaynaklı bazı provokasyon girişimlerinden söz ediliyor. Netanyahu, Ankara'nın sabrını test ediyor da denebilir. Aynı zamanda, Gazze'de soykırımı sürdürmeye, orada tek bir masum insan kalmayıncaya kadar kan dökmeye yemin etmiş gibi görünüyor. Bunların karşılıksız kalacağını sanmayın. Çünkü Netanyahu'nun suyu ısınıyor. Nedenini, nasılını anlatayım…

Ankara'nın Ukrayna savaşının sona ermesi için oynadığı rol sadece diplomatik değil. Bir ateşkes durumunda, Karadeniz'de ateşkesin gözlemlenmesi ve yürütülmesi için askeri bir rol üstlenmeye de hazırlanıyor. Bu konu ilk kez Ukrayna Devlet Başkanı Zelenski'nin NATO Genel Sekreteri Rutte ile nisan ayında yaptığı basın toplantısında gündeme gelmişti.

Magic and Divination in Malay Illustrated Manuscripts (Brill, 2015) offers an integrated study of the texts and images of illustrated Malay manuscripts on magic and divination from private and public collections in Malaysia, the UK and Indonesia. Containing some of the rare examples of Malay painting, these manuscripts provide direct evidence for the intercultural connections between the Malay region, other parts of Southeast Asia and the rest of the world. In this richly illustrated volume many images and texts are gathered for the first time, making this book essential reading for all those interested in the practice of magic and divination, and the history of Malay, Southeast Asian and Islamic manuscript art. Pour Samuel Eto'o, c'est la « remontada ». Après une année 2024 très éprouvante, l'ancienne star du football camerounais revient en force cette année. Hier, mercredi 12 mars, au Caire, il a été élu au comité exécutif de la CAF, la Confédération africaine de football. Il devient donc l'un des 21 patrons du football africain. Comment a-t-il réussi ? Jusqu'où peut-il aller ? Le journaliste sénégalais Abdoulaye Thiam, qui travaille à Sud Quotidien, préside la section Afrique de l'Association internationale de la presse sportive. En ligne du siège de la CAF, au Caire, il répond aux questions de Christophe Boisbouvier. RFI : L'élection de Samuel Eto'o au comité exécutif de la CAF, c'était loin d'être gagné il y a encore une semaine, comment a-t-il réussi finalement ? Abdoulaye Thiam : Écoutez, vous avez parfaitement raison. C'est une très belle « remontada » comme d'ailleurs a l'habitude de faire son ancien club, le FC Barcelone. La vie de Samuel Eto'o fils, comme vous le savez aussi, a été parsemée d'embûches, mais il a toujours su tirer son épingle du jeu. Ce n'était pas facile. Il menait une bataille d'abord contre l'ancien président du comité de normalisation de son pays, Seidou Mbombo Njoya, mais aussi contre le ministre des Sports, mais également contre la Confédération africaine de football qui l'avait déclaré inéligible. Mais Samuel Eto'o étant Samuel Eto'o, il a poursuivi l'affaire jusqu'au TASS qui lui a donné finalement raisonLe TASS, qui lui a donné raison, c'est donc le Tribunal arbitral des sports. Mais en janvier dernier, comme vous l'avez dit, la CAF avait refusé qu'il soit candidat en prétextant « qu'il avait gravement violé les principes d'éthique, d'intégrité et d'esprit sportif en acceptant de devenir l'ambassadeur d'une société de paris sportifs ». Comment a-t-il réussi cette remontada finalement ? C'est tout à fait simple parce qu'il a saisi le TASS, il a amené tous ses dossiers, il a pris de bons avocats, il a défendu son dossier. Le TASS lui a donné raison. Il appartenait à la CAF de prendre une seule mesure, c'est-à-dire d'aller saisir ce qu'on appelle la Cour fédérale suisse. Mais la CAF était obligée, compte tenu de cette situation de fait qui s'imposait à elle, d'accepter cette candidature-là. Et Samuel Eto'o a fini par être élu. Il fallait le voir ici, au Caire, tout souriant, parce qu'il n'avait aucune pression. Il était sûr de passer. Il est passé comme une lettre à la poste.Et il a été élu par acclamation, c'est ça ?Absolument. Il a été élu par acclamation, comme plusieurs autres membres aussi de différentes zones. Et quand ils ont projeté la photo de Samuel Eto'o, effectivement, il y a eu quand même beaucoup plus de salves d'applaudissements comparé aux autres candidats. Donc, il reste toujours populaire, plus populaire même que le président de la Confédération africaine de football. Donc c'est de bonne guerre qu'il y ait une salve d'applaudissements quand on a cité le nom de Samuel Eto'o et surtout quand on a projeté son image au niveau de l'écran géant.Alors, vous l'avez dit, derrière la décision anti Samuel Eto'o du mois de janvier dernier, beaucoup, à tort ou à raison, ont vu la main du ministre camerounais des Sports, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi et du Camerounais qui siégeait jusqu'ici au comité exécutif de la CAF, Seidou Mbombo Njoya. Mais est ce que le président de la CAF, le Sud-Africain Patrice Motsepe lui-même, ne manœuvrait pas lui aussi en coulisse contre Samuel Eto'o ? Je n'irai pas jusque-là. D'autant plus que les organes qui s'occupent de l'éligibilité des candidats sont des organes indépendants. Ce qu'il faut retenir, c'est qu'au niveau de ces organes, tous, ont déclaré Samuel Eto'o fils inéligible. Toutefois, il a poursuivi donc son combat jusqu'au niveau du Tribunal arbitral des sports. Il a obtenu gain de cause. Aujourd'hui, il est là. Reste à savoir maintenant si dans les quatre prochaines années, il envisagera de briguer la présidence de la Confédération africaine de football et pourquoi pas devenir président, par exemple, là où Michel Platini a échoué à l'Euro ?Oui. Vous dites qu'il peut viser dans quatre ans la succession de Patrice Motsepe ? Pourquoi pas ? Parce que c'est quelqu'un qui a beaucoup d'ambition. Quelqu'un qui est courageux. Beaucoup de gens le pensent ici, dans les coulisses. Samuel Eto'o pourrait être candidat. Pourquoi pas en 2029.Hier, au Caire, ont été élus également les six nouveaux représentants de la CAF au Conseil permanent de la FIFA. Et là, il y a de sacrées surprises, Abdoulaye Thiam ? Absolument. Il y a de sacrées surprises. D'abord, c'est le fait de voir Amaju Melvin Pinnick du Nigeria qui n'a pas été reconduit. Mais la plus grosse surprise, c'est Me Augustin Senghor, premier vice-président de la Confédération africaine de football, qui termine sixième sur six. Sur 53 voix, il n'a pu obtenir que treize. Là quand même, il y avait une grosse surprise, d'autant plus que partout en Afrique, on entend de lui que c'est quelqu'un qui est doté d'une probité intellectuelle et morale sans commune mesure.Est-ce à dire que pour être élu, il faut non seulement avoir un bon programme, mais manœuvrer en coulisse, avec peut-être des méthodes pas toujours orthodoxes ?De toute façon, ce sont des lobbys qui se saisissent de la CAF, de la FIFA, du CIO. Un peu partout, on constate qu'il y a des lobbys. Quand on regardait le dépouillement, on se rendait compte qu'on avait donné une liste à l'avance pour qui voter. Donc il y a trop d'arrangements dans les votes. Mais ça aussi, ce n'est pas l'apanage de la CAF. Je le dis et je le répète, que ça soit à la FIFA, que ça soit au CIO. Back in 1959, a writer named Samson Rebaldi gave an autocrat and despot a real glow-up in the pages of Confidential, a gossip rag of the era. Yemen's second-to-last hereditary ruler, Ahmad bin Yahya - known as "Ahmad the devil" within Yemen - was in Rome at the time, receiving medical treatment for a variety of ailments, and Rebaldi delighted in the news that he had traveled with his multiple wives, dozens of concubines, and maintained a stable of "slave girls" back at home. In Rome, Rebaldi says that doctors limited the ailing dictator to six female visitors a day, though Yahya's age, health problems, and various drug addictions may have made these visits less exciting that Rebaldi believed. Yahya died in his sleep three years after the piece was published, at the age of 71, and was briefly succeeded by his son, Muhammad al-Badr. The Badr reign came to an end after just a week, when disaffected soldiers launched a coup and declared Yemen a Republic. It is, very tragically, still working on that.
