James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. 9 Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position.10 But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower. 11 For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business. 12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. Ep. 019: Happy Days Ahead Subscribe via iTunes, Google Play, email or RSS! Thank you for listening to the No Name Photo Show! Connect with Brian Matiash and Sharky James on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook (all @NoNamePhotoShow). Did we mention SUBSCRIBE?!!! Please? ;) Alas, friends, we have reached the final episode of 2017. The rate at which this show has grown since we first kicked things off in August still boggles our minds and we can't thank all of you enough. Seriously, all of you listeners drive us to put out the best show possible every week because we understand that the most precious resource you have is time and we want you to feel that it is well spent. As we continue growing into 2018 and beyond, we'd love to ask you for another 90 seconds of your time by filling out this user survey. This information is very helpful in letting us understand who our audience is and your participation is greatly appreciated. Ok, onto the show! Our first topic was inspired by a poll that Sharky created on his Instagram stories (follow Sharky and Brian on IG), where he asked how people felt about their photography pursuits in 2017. The results were surprising enough for us to want to dig deeper in. We then follow that up with the bit of news making the rounds regarding Apple and their intentional throttling of older iPhone speeds. Is it warranted? Do these class action lawsuits filed against Apple have merit? Listen up to find out! Finally, we put a bow on our final episode of the year with a fresh portion of "What's On Your Gear Shelf?" Tweet your questions and topics with #AskNNPS! Show Notes • Don't forget to take 90 seconds and complete our Annual listener survey. We greatly appreciate it! [via Libsyn] • Sharky was curious about whether 2017 was a good year for people's photography pursuits. The results were surprising! • Brian mentioned that 2017 was the weakest year for photography in almost 10 years.
