This week we welcome That's On U's first celebrity guest, Vanessa FUCKING Williams. LOL jk, just my close friend who shares her name with the actress. We laugh about memes of the new Little Mermaid and the fact that Nick Cannon is up to 9 kids. We get into a lot of music discussion including Lizzo's new album, Beyonce's Renaissance and how Hot Rod has never liked Tyga more than his recent singles. Vanessa tells Hot Rod about how she's surviving the California heat wave, while he jokes about living in Washington with A/C. We also talk about what it's like to date while nearing 30 and being set in your ways.
Manifold boost pressure is like electricity; you know when it there and when it is not, but you cannot see it. This week the Hot Rod Farmer provides some valuable tips to get the boost back regardless if it is a gasoline or diesel engine.
Back in the mid-1980s, classic muscle cars weren't that cool, there were just old. Cars like Bandit Trans Am's, Chargers, AMXs… sure, they had a following, but they weren't sought after like today. Carburetors gave way to fuel-injection, and it seemed like every new car sold had air conditioning and power windows. And while late 1980s tech was cool 35-years ago, today, it could use an upgrade. That's why we here at Hemmings have decided to revamp a 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z with a new EFI crate engine, a slick new 5-speed transmission, along with a host of other goodies. On this episode of the Hot Rod BBQ Podcast, host Mike Musto and Hemmings Terry McGean tell you why we chose this iconic Camaro and give you a little insight into the 6-part video series that you'll soon see on the Hemmings YouTube channel.
Coach Soph (@phi_lazich) joins Hot Rod for a raucous ride. Hot Rod tells the back story to his nickname and they both share their most embarrassing moments. Sophia thinks Harry Styles is overrated and women only like him because they want to wear him in a baby bjorn. They discuss the Miss Flo/Olivia Wilde feud?, Lea Michele's rumored illiteracy and Leonardo DiCaprio's dating life. They also share some hilarious “He's a 10 but…” and discuss whether painting on a first date is a good idea.
This week a question is posed wondering if an engine should be switched from a wet flow electronic fuel injection system to a dry flow design. In typical Hot Rod Farmer fashion, Ray Bohacz, provides his best advice and explains his thoughts technically, though it may not be the answer the person was looking for.

Being a digital content creator in the automotive world isn't easy. For starters, there's an enormous amount of competition throughout what seems like and endless number of platforms. Then there are the ever-changing algorithms and content constraints that hold you back. And don't even get us started on the process of procuring vehicles and personalities, and then crafting stories around each in the hopes that your audience enjoys them. Omar Rana of Omar Drives is no stranger to tackling these obstacles, and as such, he's created some of the best automotive content out there. On this episode of the Hemmings Hot Rod BBQ, Omar sits down with us to talk about content creation, along with some newly announced vehicles like the Dodge Charger EV, and Toyota's new hot-hatch, the Corolla GR!

Chris Ballard and Frank Reich decided whether Hot Rod will be their kicker this Sunday at their 5:45 meeting last night. We'll find out later today whether the missed FG in OT or the two kickoffs out of bounds were enough to force a decision to Leg-o out of town. Shaq Leonard will go through the same process as last week to determine whether he plays. Colts are four-point favorites to win in a stadium where they have not won since 2014! The Ryans will have to clean up their snap process to compete in Jacksonville. Hoosiers are 6 1/2 point favorites Saturday against Western Kentucky, but ESPN disagrees with that level of optimism! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/the-kent-sterling-show/support

Episode 307 of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast starts with a very brief discussion on recent trips to the store to look for Cosmos. After that, the team goes through the descriptions and unofficial imagery from last month's TF Nation fan convention where a first draft script for The Transformers: The Movie was unveiled to the public for the first time. Discussion then shifts to the Studio Series products revealed during Hasbro's most recent brand livestream where toys like The Fallen, Crosshairs, Hot Rod (from The Last Knight) and Studio Series 86's Core Class Rumble. Thoughts about the design information currently being shared with fans follows that before the talk moves on to early pessimism about next year's lineup of Generations Leader Class toys. A listener question about the current usage for old Botcon exclusives leads into the recurring Bragging Rights segment to wrap things up.

The type of use a vehicle or machine receives will determine the wear patterns, especially when dealing with cyclical functions such as a transmission, hydraulic system, and others. This week the Hot Rod Farmer, Ray Bohacz, explains why you need to recognize these uses and modify the maintenance schedule.
Big, rugged, and reliable, classic American trucks and early SUVs are some of the most sought-after vehicles in the collector car market. And while most were used as either work vehicles or family haulers, there were a few that escaped the rigors of everyday life and instead, were driven sparingly for future generations and collectors to enjoy. On this episode of the Hot Rod BBQ Podcast, host Mike Musto sits down with Hemmings own, Terry McGean to talk about values, models, features, and how these classic trucks slot into the collector vehicle marketplace.
Idle Chatter has turned into more than a podcast on farm machinery and engines. Though that is its main purpose and mission statement, this week I open up the microphone to answer some questions from the audience that are more about life than mechanical things.
When it comes to engineering and crafting carbon fiber bodied resto-mods, it goes without saying that the SpeedKore Performance Group is at the forefront. Their latest creation, a 1968 Dodge Charger, dubbed Hellucination was constructed for none other than Ralph Gilles, the Head of Design for Stellantis. On the outside, its full carbon-fiber body is nothing short of breathtaking, and when it comes to the interior, that's a work of art as well. Then there's the engine, a 1,000-horsepower 6.2L supercharged Hellephant HEMI V8 from Dodge that propels it forward. In short, this Charger is one of the most beautiful and well-built one-offs that we've ever seen. To give everyone a deep dive into not only SpeedKore and their technology, but the Hellucination Charger as well, we welcome Lyle Brummer, SpeedKore's Director of Design to this week episode of the Hemmings Hot Rod BBQ Podcast.

When it comes to Dodge, Plymouth and Chrysler, there are few individuals out there more knowledgeable than David Hakim. You could say that he was destined to be tied to the brands growing up, as his uncle owned a Chrysler / Plymouth dealership in Detroit in the early 1970s. Icons like Sox and Martin, and cars like the Mopar and Motown Missile, were commonplace to David. To add, he then cut his teeth on his first car, a 1971 383 powered, Plymouth Roadrunner. On this episode of the Hemmings Hot Rod BBQ Podcast, we sit down with David, a lifelong Motor City resident, as he takes us through the history of Dodge, Chrysler, and Plymouth in their heyday. We also talk about the history of Direct Connection, Dodge's newly relaunched and iconic parts initiative, a hear a few amazing Detroit stories from back when muscle cars ruled the streets.
