In September 2025, I took the stage at Shoshanna Raven's Living Brave Live to share a story that has shaped every part of my life, my leadership, and the global movement I've built through SoulWork. This is a deeply personal talk about what it takes to rise as a woman who is devoted to both spiritual depth and business mastery, while creating a legacy of holy redistribution and meaningful impact in the world. The journey begins in the red-light districts of Kolkata, India, where I first encountered the raw edges of human suffering while working alongside survivors of human trafficking. That experience forever changed me. It sparked a defining moment in a cracked mirror, where I asked myself if I was willing to give up everything to be the one who took action — and made the decision to stop waiting for somebody somewhere to do something, and instead become that somebody myself. Out of that moment, SoulWork was born — an organization dedicated to training trauma-informed yoga teachers, leading global retreats, and supporting humanitarian projects around the world. Since its founding in 2015, SoulWork has: Certified thousands of teachers worldwide Built schools and classrooms in India, Guatemala, and Costa Rica Created programs that merge trauma-informed leadership with spiritual practice Crossed $3 million in lifetime revenue while staying rooted in purpose and integrity But my journey hasn't always been easy. Behind the scenes of sold-out retreats and visible success, I struggled with financial scarcity, debt, and the pressure of carrying a global mission. I share how I went from being overextended and exhausted — running 50 retreats a year — to completely restructuring my business into a sustainable, high-profit, low-maintenance model. This shift didn't just transform my business, it transformed my life. It gave me the space to: Renovate my grandfather's home in cash Build a stable financial foundation for my family Deepen my spiritual practice as a lineage carrier in the Himalayas Expand my humanitarian efforts in a way that is truly sustainable In this episode, I also introduce the archetype of the Philanthropic Femme — a rare kind of woman who embodies three essential pillars: Spiritual Depth – devotion to personal practice and a connection to something greater than herself Business Mastery – the strategy, systems, and leadership required to scale her vision Holy Redistribution – using wealth to fund movements, support marginalized communities, and create systemic change This talk is an invitation to every woman who feels the tension between her desire for inner fulfillment, her outer success, and her calling to make a difference. If you are ready to: Build a business that reflects your soul's purpose Step into financial sovereignty while staying deeply rooted in service Merge feminine leadership, conscious business practices, and philanthropy And become the woman who stops waiting and starts creating the change she longs to see …this episode will light a fire in your spirit. You'll leave with a new perspective on leadership, wealth, and impact — and the clarity to walk your own path as a Philanthropic Femme.
In this inspiring session, Christine coaches Wendy, who has felt stuck and frozen by fear—especially when it comes to making decisions in her relationships and career. Wendy shares her history of physical challenges, overprotective parenting, and bullying, which shaped her belief that fear and love always go hand in hand. Christine helps her see that fear doesn't have to be a problem. Together, they explore how to release the “something is wrong with me” belief, reframe fear as an old protective pattern, and step into a new chapter defined by intention rather than paralysis. If you've ever waited to feel confident or fear-free before making a move in your life, this conversation will remind you that you can take steps even with fear present—and that your past doesn't have to dictate your future. Consider / Ask Yourself: Are you waiting for fear to disappear before pursuing something you truly want? Do old childhood experiences still shape how you see yourself and your choices? Have you confused “being seen” with “being judged”? What new story could you tell yourself that would free you from the past? Key Insights and A-HAs: Fear doesn't have to be solved before you act—it can come along for the ride. Overprotective parenting can imprint fear that isn't actually yours. Confidence comes from self-trust and knowing you can handle challenges, not from waiting for certainty. Reframing fear as familiar, but not controlling, creates freedom. Being honest about your story invites connection, not rejection. How to Deepen the Work: Instead of waiting for confidence, act with intention. Talk to your younger self and reassure them they are safe now. Notice when you are seeing yourself through the old lens of “something is wrong with me.” Try body-based practices that build trust and safety within yourself. Practice honesty in small ways and notice how people respond with compassion. Upcoming Event: Christine's Women's Retreat happens October 17–19, 2025. This intimate and transformational gathering is a chance to release fear, reprogram old patterns, and step fully into the truth of who you are. Partial scholarships are now available, and generous listeners can even sponsor another woman's attendance. Learn more and reserve your spot at christinehassler.com/retreat. This is a vulnerable episode for me to share, but it was very important to me to record and release this episode because it highlights something I don't think we see enough: people in positions of power, privilege or leadership openly receiving feedback. Janie Ganga is a yoga teacher I deeply admire and have worked closely with for nearly a decade. In May of this year, they reached out to tell me something I had posted on social media had upset and hurt them. (Here is the reel that started it all.) We've had several conversations about the situation since, and this episode is the culmination and public sharing of how we worked through that. Please listen, share it widely, and let us know how it lands with you. Janie Ganga (she/they) is an E-RYT 500 Yoga Teacher, social justice activist, and co-owner of Santosha Yoga, an online studio rooted in the Providence, RI community. Certified in I AM Yoga since 2013, Ganga specializes in Private Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Let Your Yoga Dance, and is completing certification as a Yoga Therapist. Beyond the mat, Janie has organized queer community events for years – creating queer friendly femme-centered spaces in Boston with madFemmePride and co-leading the 2006 Transcending Boundaries Conference, which brought together activists for Transgender, Bisexual, Intersex, Polyamorous, and Kink Rights. As a Professional Member of ASDAH (Association for Size Diversity and Health), Janie is guided by Health at Every Size and is passionate about making yoga accessible to all bodies and identities. Anne Lamott's son “called on” his mom after a transphobic tweet - Janie stumbled on this story after she questioned a colleague about sharing a Lamott's quote. Keir Starmer's Labour government seems to be in big trouble, with opinion polls suggesting the possibility of a dramatic reshaping of British electoral politics in favour of Nigel Farage's Reform UK. The resignation of deputy prime minister Angela Rayner last week has shown yet more Labour weakness for Farage to eagerly exploit. It's all happening against a backdrop of deepening divisions over subjects including immigration, taxation, the economy, Gaza and freedom of speech. London correspondent Mark Paul has been trying to keep up with it all. He talks to Hugh on today's podcast. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

In this heartfelt coaching session, Christine supports Elle, who has done years of personal growth work but still struggles with feeling disconnected—especially in intimate relationships. Despite building a chosen family and strong friendships, Elle worries she may never find a romantic partner she feels both safe and attracted to. Past experiences of abuse and neglect have created protective strategies that now interfere with intimacy and connection. Christine helps Elle see that she is further along than she realizes, guiding her to release self-judgment and reframe her experiences. They explore how protective parts, body-based healing, and inviting the inner child into present-day moments can restore connection. If you've ever felt broken, wondered if something was “wrong” with you, or struggled to combine love, safety, and attraction in relationships, this conversation will offer relief, perspective, and hope. Consider / Ask Yourself: Do you feel disconnected from yourself, others, or even spiritually? Did you grow up in an environment where you didn't feel safe or seen? Do you tend to be drawn to emotionally unavailable partners while overlooking those who are healthy and present? Are you approaching personal growth from the mindset of “fixing what's wrong” instead of cultivating compassion and curiosity? Key Insights and A-HAs: Nothing heals in judgment—shifting from “what's wrong with me” to self-compassion is essential. Attraction to unavailable partners is often a protective strategy that keeps deeper intimacy at bay. Our past selves and inner child need to be invited into the safety of the present moment. Healing requires integrating body-based practices, not just intellectual understanding. You are often further along in your healing than you realize. How to Deepen the Work: Practice inviting your inner child into current moments of connection and safety. Approach your healing with curiosity rather than judgment. Explore somatic or body-based trauma work to move stuck emotions and energy. Reframe protective strategies as once-necessary survival tools—and begin to update them with new choices. Remind yourself regularly: There is nothing wrong with you. Upcoming Event: Christine's Women's Retreat is happening October 17–19, 2025. This life-changing experience only happens every other year. Reach Out: Please include your email and I will get back to you. Thanks!Ephesians 4Paul urges believers to live in unity, maturity, and holiness as members of Christ's body. He calls them to walk in humility, gentleness, patience, and love, striving to maintain the unity of the Spirit. There is one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one Father who is over all, through all, and in all. Christ has given apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip the church for ministry and spiritual growth. Followers of Christ must mature in faith, avoiding false teachings and growing into Him, the head of the church. They should cast off their old sinful ways and embrace a new life of righteousness. Paul encourages honesty, kindness, forgiveness, and speaking words that uplift others, reflecting God's love in all our relationships. Are you walking in a manner worthy of God's calling? The most observable proof is in how we treat one another. We share a common faith and life in Christ, and we must exhibit gentleness, patience, love, and enduring tolerance towards each other. We cannot be in fellowship with God while being at odds with fellow believers. The apostles and prophets of Jesus's time taught about Him to help us refute false doctrine and speak the truth in love, building each other up. While people in the world may have hardened hearts, God's people possess soft, compassionate spirits. We must be honest, charitable, mindful of our words, free of bitterness, and abundantly forgiving, in honor of the mercy of our King. Heavenly Father, implore us to walk in a manner that brings honor to Your name. Help us understand that attitudes and actions among Christians are central to being unique and united in this divided world. Grant us the humility to continue learning about Jesus, so we can refute errors concerning Him, and so that we might know how to encourage and support fellow members of the body of Christ. Soften our hearts. Deepen our compassion and love for one another. We commit to being honest, helpful, and generous among believers and all of humanity, as Jesus is with us. Thought Questions: - Are you a uniting, patient, peaceable presence among the people of God? How important to God is your Christ-like light among Christians? - What unique gifts has God given you to use among His people? How are you presently cultivating and exercising those gifts? - How mindful are you of your words, especially during contentious times? What makes Christians different than the world in their speech?
In this episode, you’ll learn about the powerful role of friendship and connection in promoting physical, emotional, and even cognitive longevity. I sit down with longtime (40 years long!) friends Christy and Ana from the Girl, Can You Talk? podcast to explore their BOND method—Be Open, Offer Invitations, Nurture Consistency, and Deepen Through Vulnerability—a simple, intentional approach to building real relationships that help you live better, feel better, and not feel alone. Life is shaped by rhythms that form who we become. Rhythms of Grace is an ongoing series that explores spiritual practices to help us grow in faith and experience God's presence. These disciplines—such as prayer, Sabbath, fasting, and more —aren't about earning God's love, but about living more fully in it. Each message will unpack a practice and provide practical tools to help you put it into action. In a world of hurry and distraction, these rhythms help us slow down and re-center on what matters most. As we follow Jesus, these practices shape us, both individually and collectively as the church, into His image.

Have you ever wondered how much deeper your coaching could go if you paused to reflect in a more intentional way? In this episode of The Coaching Crowd, we explore how reflective practice is the often-overlooked skill that truly elevates coaching. While questioning and listening skills usually get the spotlight, it is reflection that helps us to grow as coaches, find closure with clients, and unlock fresh insight. As we spoke, we found ourselves noticing how reflective practice is both a personal and professional discipline. It is not about criticising yourself for what you missed, but instead about compassionately noticing what you learned, how you showed up, and how you can expand your practice. We share a series of reflective questions that you can use for yourself or with your clients, such as: How am I feeling now? How present and attuned was I during that coaching session? What habits was I using, and what new experiments could I try next time? What biases or assumptions might have shaped how I showed up? Together, we explore the difference between reflecting in practice (while in session) and reflecting on practice (afterwards), and how both can help you become more present, more courageous, and more flexible as a coach. We also talk about how reflective practice can happen in different ways, through journaling, walking, recording your thoughts aloud, or even using creative prompts like music and drawing. One of our personal reflections from this conversation was how important it is to approach reflection with kindness. Growth does not come from berating yourself, but from curiosity and compassion. Reflective practice is a muscle, and with practice, it grows stronger. This episode is full of questions and perspectives that will help you deepen your practice, connect with your clients at a deeper level, and continue your journey of lifelong learning. Timestamps: 00:50 – Why reflective practice matters in coaching 02:12 – Reflecting in practice vs reflecting on practice 03:00 – Using body awareness as a catalyst for reflection 05:21 – Balancing solution-focus with presence 06:47 – The importance of compassion in reflection 08:34 – Exploring habits and courage in coaching 09:52 – The role of client feedback in reflective practice 11:14 – Finding your personal style of reflection 12:36 – Considering bias and self-development 14:25 – Reflection as a muscle to build over time 16:11 – Creative approaches to reflective practice 18:32 – Reflection as an ongoing process rather than quick clarity 19:23 – The role of CPD in deepening reflection 21:19 – Lifelong learning and growth as a coach Key Lessons Learned: Reflective practice is the foundation for deepening your coaching, beyond questioning and listening skills. Compassion and curiosity are essential, reflection should not become self-criticism. Presence, energy, and body awareness are powerful entry points for reflection. Exploring habits, courage, and biases helps coaches to avoid falling into fixed patterns. Creative methods such as drawing, music, or recording can unlock new layers of reflection. Reflection is not about finding instant answers, but about allowing insight to emerge over time. CPD and lifelong learning naturally deepen reflective practice. In this deeply supportive session, Christine coaches Erin, who has struggled with self-worth, self-trust, and confidence throughout her life. Recently assessed as neurodivergent, Erin has experienced both relief and grief—relief in finally having clarity, but grief in recognizing how much self-criticism and self-betrayal she carried for years. Christine guides Erin through understanding how childhood modeling, people-pleasing, and bypassing emotions have impacted her confidence. Together, they explore how building self-worth comes not from external validation, but from radical self-acceptance, emotional release, and advocating for one's needs in daily life. If you've ever felt “different,” struggled to trust yourself, or wondered how to move beyond self-criticism into true confidence, this conversation will resonate deeply. Consider / Ask Yourself: Did you grow up feeling “different” or like you didn't fit the mold? Do you often bypass your feelings, telling yourself “it's not a big deal”? Have you learned to be a chameleon, shape-shifting to fit others' needs? Are you quick to explain or excuse others' behavior instead of honoring your own hurt? Key Insights and A-HAs: True confidence comes from radical self-acceptance. Self-betrayal often shows up in small ways—ignoring needs, withholding truth, or people-pleasing. Relief can be a doorway into compassion and deeper healing. Suppressed emotions drain energy; released emotions unlock creativity and confidence. The inner child feels safer—and more confident—when we advocate for ourselves in everyday moments. How to Deepen the Work: Notice moments of self-betrayal in daily life and practice small acts of self-advocacy. Allow yourself to feel emotions fully, without judgment or rushing to fix them. Begin somatic practices that connect you to your body (dance, yoga, movement). Read Expectation Hangover by Christine Hassler, especially the section on emotional release. Redefine confidence as accepting all parts of yourself, not performing perfection. Upcoming Event: Christine's Women's Retreat is happening October 17–19, 2025. This transformational experience reconnects you to your body, emotions, and intuition, creating profound breakthroughs in confidence and clarity. Note: This retreat only happens every other year—the next will not be until 2027. Reserve your spot now at christinehassler.com/retreat. In this powerful coaching session, Christine supports Tessa, a psychic medium navigating the challenges of fully owning her intuitive gifts after leaving a successful engineering career. While her spiritual sensitivity has deepened, she still struggles with confidence, financial consistency, and the fear of stepping fully into her calling. Christine helps Tessa uncover how early life choices for safety and belonging influenced her path, why money is a sacred energetic exchange, and how to embrace confidence without falling into imposter syndrome. This session is especially resonant for anyone who has felt torn between a “practical” career and their true soul path—or who has struggled with feeling “too sensitive” in a world that doesn't always honor intuitive gifts. If you've ever wrestled with worthiness, worried about what others think, or hesitated to fully embody your calling, this episode will encourage you to claim your gifts with reverence, confidence, and joy. Consider / Ask Yourself: Do you minimize your intuitive or spiritual gifts out of fear of judgment? Were you rewarded as a child more for achievement than creativity or sensitivity? Do you toggle between wanting safety (financial or social) and wanting to live your truth? Is your sensitivity something you see as a liability rather than a blessing? Key Insights and A-HAs: True confidence is radical self-acceptance, not arrogance. Sensitivity is not a liability—it's a sacred strength when embraced. Financial abundance can flow through spiritual work when we claim it as valid and worthy. Belonging and validation from old systems (titles, achievements) can hold us back from owning our deeper callings. Spiritual gifts don't have to come with a cost—you don't need to “pay penance” for being gifted. How to Deepen the Work: Reflect on any early decisions you made to “fit in” and how they may still shape your choices. Reframe your sensitivity as spiritual hygiene, not a burden. Write and repeat affirmations claiming your gifts as part of your life's is-ness (e.g., “I make an abundant living through my spiritual gifts”). Notice when imposter syndrome shows up and remind yourself that reverence and humility are different from self-doubt. Normalize taking breaks, grounding, and nervous system care without making it a “big deal.” Upcoming Events: Christine's Women's Retreat is happening October 17–19, 2025. This immersive experience is designed to help you step out of your head, into your body, and reclaim your intuitive power. By the end of the retreat, women report profound clarity, spiritual awakenings, and a deep reconnection to their inner wisdom. People crave feeling understood, but rarely get it. Here, psychologist Dr. Caroline Fleck breaks down validation science that transforms how we connect!Full show notes and resources can be found here: jordanharbinger.com/1198What We Discuss with Dr. Caroline Fleck:Validation goes beyond praise. It's a precise psychological skill set that allows us to communicate mindfulness, understanding, and empathy to make someone feel seen and accepted. To understand the difference, think of praise as applauding the performance, while validation is accepting the performer.Research shows that validation literally allows us to endure greater physical pain, suggesting its resilience-building power to help us cope with life's countless difficulties.Obversely, invalidation shuts down recall and problem-solving abilities by triggering sympathetic nervous system arousal. On the other hand, validation restores higher cognitive functioning needed for reasoning.Validation skills are powerful across contexts — from relationships and parenting to medicine and even interrogations. But keep in mind that authenticity is critical — fake or forced validation doesn't work and can even feel condescending, especially to teens.Validation is a skill you can practice and improve. Nurture a mindset of genuine curiosity by asking yourself "What's this person's point?" Start with small steps like attentive listening, nodding, and reflecting words authentically to build stronger trust and connection. And much more...And if you're still game to support us, please leave a review here — even one sentence helps! In this tender and eye-opening session, Christine coaches Lucia through the heartbreak and confusion of a breakup she now regrets. While the relationship was loving and emotionally safe, differences in values, lifestyle, and follow-through led to a mutual decision to part ways. Now, Lucia is wrestling with second-guessing herself and holding on to hope—while also remembering what wasn't working. This conversation goes far beyond one relationship story. It's about learning to trust your choices, release regret, and grieve while keeping the love. Christine helps Lucia explore self-forgiveness, avoid over-responsibility, and understand the deeper imprints from her first love and early life experiences. If you've ever questioned a decision, longed for a “redo,” or struggled to move forward after letting go, this episode will help you find clarity, peace, and compassion for yourself. Consider / Ask Yourself: Do you tend to replay past choices, wishing you could go back and change them? Are you holding on to the good memories while forgetting what wasn't aligned? Have you confused the love you felt with the actual fit of the relationship? Is regret keeping you stuck in the past instead of allowing you to move forward? Key Insights and A-HAs: Regret often uses present-day knowledge to beat yourself up for past decisions. Love is not always enough—shared values and aligned lifestyles matter. You can keep the love while grieving the relationship itself. Over-responsibility can fuel self-blame and block healing. Forgiveness and grief work create the space for true clarity. How to Deepen the Work: Write down what was working and what wasn't in your past relationship or situation. Practice self-forgiveness by acknowledging you made the best choice with the information you had at the time. Allow yourself to fully grieve without rushing to replace or “fix” the loss. Identify any limiting beliefs you're holding about your worthiness for future healthy love. You can't truly love yourself if you're lying to yourself. And you certainly can't find peace in a version of you that's not real.Because when you try to love a version of yourself that isn't true, it feels empty. It's like people-pleasing: if you sacrifice authenticity for approval, then who are they really approving of? Not the real you. And the same goes for self-approval. If we dress up a lie and call it self-love, we're building a facade that will inevitably crumble. In this episode, you will learn…Why women, in particular, tend to lie to themselves (even more than they lie to others)What all major religions and spiritual teachings say about truth-telling3 simple but profound ways to use honesty as a daily practice of loving yourselfWe'll also explore ideas from authors like bell hooks, George Saunders, Don Miguel Ruiz, and Tara Brach, whose teachings remind us that honesty is the foundation of love.If you've ever felt like self-love doesn't “work” for you, or that you're doing everything but still feel disconnected, this episode might reveal why and inspire you to honestly love yourself.Remember: telling the truth isn't about sharing every secret, it's about staying rooted in what's real. What if “happily ever after” starts and ends with just you? In this bold and expansive episode, Shan dives into The Eartha Kitt Effect—a cultural and emotional awakening inspired by the legendary performer Eartha Kitt, whose unapologetic views on love, compromise, and individuality continue to resonate decades later. This “effect” refers to the growing movement of people, especially women, who are choosing the single life on purpose, not by default. Joining Shan is Dr. Bella DePaulo, renowned social psychologist and author of Single at Heart, to unpack why some of the most fulfilled people are not in romantic relationships—and never want to be. Together, they explore:
In today's real-time coaching session, Christine works with Catherine, who is navigating a pivotal life decision about whether to continue a long-distance relationship that is heading toward a significant next step—or to step away. As someone who struggles with indecision and fears making the “wrong” choice, Catherine is looking for clarity, confidence, and security in her next steps. Through their conversation, Christine helps her uncover a powerful truth: clarity often comes after we take action, not before. What unfolds is a healing dialogue around people-pleasing, fear of mistakes, and the patterns that keep us disconnected from our intuition. Rather than rushing toward a binary decision, Catherine finds a third path—one rooted in authentic expression, boundaries, and self-trust. Consider/Ask Yourself: Do you often fear making the wrong decision, and delay choosing altogether? Have you historically prioritized others' needs over your own in relationships? Are you waiting for a sign instead of trusting your own intuition? What might shift if you gave yourself full permission to speak your truth? Key Insights & A-HAs: Indecisiveness isn't always resistance—it can be sacred space while we wait for the most aligned choice to emerge. The “right” decision isn't always black or white. Sometimes clarity reveals itself in a third, unexpected option. Unspoken needs can't be met. Self-expression is essential to healthy relationships. Even if a decision “doesn't work out,” it doesn't mean it was wrong—it was your classroom for growth. How to Deepen the Work: Journal on a time when your “mistake” led to unexpected growth. Practice speaking a boundary in a safe relationship—start small. Ask: What is my body telling me when I think about each possible choice? Instead of asking “What should I do?”, ask “What would feel most like self-honoring?” Free Masterclass: Fulfilled & Free (For Women) Are you a high-achieving woman who's done “everything right”—but still feels like something's missing?
