Joan and her husband stayed at a hurricane shelter in North Naples for three nights during Hurricane Irma. She said the only thing that she would change is that she’d get out of town a week earlier.

Kim Francisco, a resident of Riverwood Estates, would like to thank several people after Hurricane Irma.

Bruce Kennedy wants to thank his landlord and St. Matthew's House. He was living at St. Matthew's House before moving into his new apartment before Hurricane Irma. His landlord helped him put together a bed. St. Matthew's House was there for him after Hurricane Irma hit.

Larry Ewert describes his experience at a hurricane shelter during Hurricane Irma. He and his wife evacuated to Laurel Oak Elementary School at the last minute. He said the principal helped take care of his cats. “It was a good example of human kind working together."

Tom Ruple stayed in his house during Hurricane Irma. He said a palm tree fell and blocked a road. He is thankful to a landscaping company that was able to clear the road.
