The Daily Blast: Trump Threats to Jail Foes Take Darker Turn amid Damning New DOJ Leaks

President Trump's efforts to prosecute his enemies are suddenly looking even more lawless. Leaks to ABC News just revealed that Justice Department insiders doubt the validity of the prosecution of former FBI director James Comey. This comes after inside sources told MSNBC that a senior prosecutor is resisting indicting New York attorney general Letitia James because the case against her is so weak. Trump is demanding prosecutions of both, and the bucking of his pressure reveals just how corrupt his directives truly are. Meanwhile, Trump just called for the jailing of the governor of Illinois. We talked about all this with former federal prosecutor Kristy Parker, counsel at Protect Democracy. She explains why Trump's prosecutions are so baseless, what we can read into the resistance inside DOJ, and how it might slow our slide into lawlessness.  Learn more about your ad choices. This second segment dives into the devastating mental deterioration of Richard Allen during his 13-month pretrial incarceration in solitary confinement—what the state called a “safekeeping order.” Tony, Stacy, Todd, and Bob break down how Allen was isolated, broken down, and allegedly manipulated into confessing to the Delphi murders—not through force, but through psychological collapse. Bob takes us inside the jailhouse calls, including one made at 3:15 AM where Allen desperately tells his stepfather he's losing his mind and feels like he's in Guantanamo. Hours later, in a fog of confusion, he tells his wife, “I did it”—then follows with, “Evidently I did.” Is that a confession? Or the ramblings of a man pushed to the brink? We discuss how labeling solitary as a “single-person cell” let the state sidestep human rights standards, why the court excluded a jail call where Allen professes his innocence, and how this system, by design or dysfunction, weaponizes mental illness to build a case. If this was strategy, not oversight, it's one of the most ethically disturbing chapters in modern true crime. This segment lays bare the line between confession and coercion—and forces us to ask: is it justice if you have to destroy a man's mind to convict him? #RichardAllen #SolitaryConfinement #FalseConfession #DelphiMurders #TrueCrime #JailhouseCall #PsychologicalAbuse #MentalHealthCrisis #WrongfulConviction #HiddenKillers Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Is Diddy's Jail Letter & “Free Game” Class a Redemption Arc or Reputation Rehab? Sean “Diddy” Combs says he's changed. He says he's found God, humility, and sobriety behind bars. But in this episode of Hidden Killers Live, we ask the real question: Is this redemption—or a rebrand? We're joined by former FBI Behavioral Analysis Program Chief Robin Dreeke to examine Diddy's 9-page letter to Judge Subramanian. It's emotional. It's detailed. But is it strategic? Then we dive into Diddy's new jailhouse initiative: Free Game with Diddy—a six-week mindset class he claims has unified gang members, taught business skills, and given him purpose. Admirable? Maybe. Or maybe it's the kind of carefully constructed narrative high-control personalities use when the cameras turn against them. Robin takes us inside the tactics:  ▶️ Language cues that reveal intent  ▶️ Power dynamics in confined systems  ▶️ How manipulation thrives behind bars We're not here to cancel—we're here to question. Because when someone who built an empire on control and image starts teaching redemption inside jail, we need to ask: Who's the lesson really for?

Who Is Diddy in Jail? FBI Profiler Analyzes the Man, the Myth, the Manipulator Can a man who spent decades controlling the narrative really just let it go? Or is his latest apology another chapter in the myth of Diddy? In this Hidden Killers Live exclusive, retired FBI Special Agent and behavioral expert Robin Dreeke joins host Tony Brueski to dissect Diddy's letter to the judge—a raw, emotional plea that might not be as raw or emotional as it seems. Line by line, we examine what the letter says, what it means, and what it might be trying to do. Then we look at Free Game with Diddy, the six-week prison class Combs now teaches in jail. He says it's changed his life—and changed others'. But when former gang members, counselors, and inmates start writing letters of praise to support a sentencing request, we have to ask: Is this leadership—or leverage? Robin Dreeke brings real-world experience from inside the FBI's behavioral programs to offer insight on: Charisma as a social weapon Image construction under legal pressure The difference between true transformation and high-stakes storytelling In court, your words matter. In prison, your behavior does. But in the public eye? It's all about what sticks.

I discuss the unnecessary killing of Charlie Kirk and the outrage over Diddy's sentencing, i share my thoughts on how the judge used acquitted conduct to justify an upward departure from the sentencing guidelines, which I see as an abuse of power and a miscarriage of justice.I also dive into a CNN report about Black women being laid off by DOGE. Over 300k black women were pushed aside. While I understand the government needs to improve, I feel these actions represent a direct attack on the Black community.Plus, I explain why I started Season 6 for just five episodes instead of extending Season 5... the break was too long, but hey, you guys are entitled! This episode is all about entitlement, justice, and the imbalance of power in society.RIP Bettye McElrath, Woe to them that call evil good and good evil.

Joshua Ryle brings over two decades of corrections experience to this deeply insightful conversation about the hidden psychological patterns that shape corrections culture. From his early days at the Tennessee Department of Corrections to his current role as a training sergeant, Ryle has observed firsthand how the corrections environment creates behavioral patterns that affect officers both professionally and personally. At the heart of this episode is Ryle's new training program focused on workplace toxicity in corrections. He explains how officers spend their entire workday in a hypervigilant, fight-or-flight state that gradually transforms how they interact with everyone around them. This physiological reality leads to communication challenges, negative filtering, and self-sabotaging behaviors that follow officers home and contribute to concerning wellness statistics in the corrections profession. What makes Ryle's approach unique is his focus on behavioral science and practical solutions. Rather than simply identifying problems, he provides clear strategies for shifting from self-criticism to self-reflection, improving communication despite technological limitations, and creating a culture where colleagues support rather than undermine each other. Ryle's program has gained such recognition that it's now being implemented nationwide through ARC Tactical.Whether you work in corrections or are interested in workplace culture transformation, this episode provides valuable insights into how awareness and intentional behavior change can create healthier environments in even the most challenging professions. The Daily Blast: Trump's Push to Jail James Comey Badly Undercut by Damning New Report

President Trump's Justice Department is widely expected to indict former FBI director James Comey, someone the president has hated for years. Yet this push was just undermined when The New York Times reported a surprising turn of events: Career prosecutors reportedly informed DOJ political appointees that they have not been able to find evidence that would sustain a conviction. As the Times notes, a prosecutor handpicked by Trump is “racing” to secure an indictment anyway. And in a twisted rant about Comey, Trump exposed his animus and politicization of DOJ once again. All this may not stop the indictment. But it reveals just how sordid this has truly become, provides grounds to contest the prosecution later, and exposes Trump's corruption of the justice system in a broader sense. We talked to Talking Points Memo editor-at-large David Kurtz, author of a great piece on this travesty. He explains the deeper states at play, the recourse we have, and why we need a whole new language to capture what's really happening here. Looking for More from the DSR Network? A record number of people are being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. And the conditions they're reporting have been described as cruel and inhumane.Last month, 60,000 people were detained by ICE, breaking a record set by the previous Trump administration. A Los Angeles Times analysis of public data found that more than a third of detainees have spent time in a dedicated facility that is over capacity. And now, county jails and ICE field offices are being transformed to fill those gaps. Jails held an average of about 10 percent of all detainees (7,100 people) each day in July, according to the Prison Policy Initiative. So, what fallout is the Trump administration's immigration crackdown having on ICE detention centers? What are the conditions in these centers like? And what legal options do detainees have?Find more of our programs online. MDC Brooklyn is a notoriously known prison in New York. The beds are made of steel and you get a 1.5 inch foam mattress to throw on top. There are no pillows and the showers have the thinnest curtain for privacy. The food is not so surprisingly prison slop. On the menu are ‘murder burgers' which one inmate describes the meat patty being like shoe leather. Unreasonably chewy. The only meal worth looking forward to are chicken days. Once a week, the kitchen will serve chicken, the best source of protein other than the ‘macks.' These are little packets of preserved mackerel known to be the most coveted trading commodity at MDC Brooklyn. Luigi Mangione is being held in 4 North unit of MDC. Which consists of just 20 high profile inmates like the former president of Honduras, Sam Bankman-Fried, and Sean Combs. Just a floor below, in the 3 North unit of MDC Brooklyn was the man we're speaking with today.   Full show notes available at rottenmangopodcast.com Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
