I struggled with opening up to people in my life and allowing them to see all of me. It was because I thought if I allowed them to see all of me, they would leave. I lived with this fear for a long time, and I realized that I had to let the world see all of me so I can help heal or help someone. I have missed out on opportunities because I wasn't willing to open up and let people in and try new things. You will never know where you are supposed to be or who you are supposed to help if you are not willing to open up and try new things.

Morning Mantra: "I am growing and healing." We are all a work in progress. No matter who you are, or where you are, there is always an area of your life that can be better.Every day brings with it the opportunity for improvement. No life is without it's challenges and moments of pain. We must learn to accept this fact and see them as opportunities for growth. If we try to spare ourselves from temporary struggles by not addressing them, we end up throwing away the precious moments that could be spent growing, healing and fulfilling our incredible possibilities.Instead of looking at your challenges and pain as defects, try to find fulfillment in living through them, and in using their energy to help you discover the best version of you.#BeWliingToGrowAndHeal #BeHappy #BeHorsey #BeHippie #HorseHippie #MorningMantra #InspirationalQuotes

In this message from the “Love Incorruptible” series, Pastor J.D. takes us through a passage in Ephesians and shows us why it's not enough just to know facts. God has to grant us spiritual sight if we want to know him more and see his true glory.

Dismissive Avoidants often struggle with vulnerability, emotional expression, and discussing difficult relationship dynamics. When they begin to emotionally withdraw, certain patterns tend to appear before they actually exit the relationship. Episode Summary In this episode, Thais Gibson breaks down five major warning signs that a Dismissive Avoidant may be pulling away for good and what you can do to protect your boundaries, communicate effectively, and honor your needs in the process. Thais explains how these behaviors often reflect underlying attachment wounds rather than malicious intent but that doesn't mean you should ignore the signs. Understanding these patterns allows you to respond with clarity instead of confusion and decide what's healthiest for you moving forward. Key Takeaways ✔️ Why disappearing for days at a time can signal emotional withdrawal ✔️ How shutting down difficult conversations indicates relationship disengagement ✔️ Why canceling plans repeatedly can show declining investment ✔️ How closed or one-word responses block emotional intimacy ✔️ Why a lack of vulnerability often means the person isn't ready for deeper connection ✔️ How honoring your own needs and boundaries is essential when these patterns appear Timestamps 00:00 – Are There Signs a Dismissive Avoidant Is About to Leave a Relationship? 00:30 – 1. Have an episode suggestion? Text us!In this re-released Mindset Monday episode, Matt talks about one of the hardest parts of recovery and relationships: opening up.This one's for both sides of the table - the person who's sober but still hiding, and the partner who's done begging for honesty. If you're trying to rebuild, this is how we did it.If you've already walked away, this may remind you why you made that choice.I break down what it actually took to open up, how we both hold space for each other, and rebuilt trust from ashes - not illusion. In this episode I break down how I ventured into the great unknown of emotional intimacy and having emotional conversations...I discuss how Paige made that process easier, and I'll get into some real actionable ways even the most closed-off guy can start to connect with anyone. But if you're on the outside of a relationship, and you made that choice with clarity - please hear me clearly: don't let this episode talk you back into chaos. If you made your decision on sound advice from professionals, friends, and your own heart - stay gone. You can't want it enough for two people. They have to take the lead on repair. In this grab bag bonus episode, we dip into some thoughts on the “Traitors” reunion, including Candiace's dubious insinuation that Rob cheated and Colton's moment in the hot seat. Then we turn to “Love Is Blind,” catching up with two of our favorite ladies from this season, Emma Betsinger and Jessica Barrett, who each have a lot to say about some of the most controversial and shocking moments from their storylines. Emma weighs in on the (at times harsh!) audience reaction to her maternal ambivalence, and Jess reacts to some post-filming revelations about Chris and tells us what she thinks was really going on when he told her he usually dates women who “go to pilates every day.” To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. Jase and Al welcome John and Paula Godwin to reflect on the kind of community that shows up in the hardest moments from medical crises to marital collapse and everything in between. They revisit seasons of fear, loss, and uncertainty, including Paula's HIV needle-stick scare and the painful surgeries that tested Jase and Missy's resolve. The conversation builds to the powerful “even if” faith of Daniel 3 — trusting God not only when He delivers what we ask for, but even if He doesn't. Harvard Business School professor Leslie John joins AJ and Johnny to unpack why we systematically get vulnerability wrong. We obsess over the risks of sharing and ignore the cost of staying silent. From dating profiles and first impressions to leadership, feedback, and negotiation, Leslie explains how to decide what to reveal, when to reveal it, and how to frame it so it builds trust instead of regret. If you've ever worried about TMI — or held back and felt distance grow — this episode gives you a smarter way to think about disclosure.
