In the season 2 finale, Ashli and Mashaun invite a few listeners (who also happen to be their friends), to discuss why they support B4Nine Podcast, their favorite and least favorite episodes, and what they would like to hear when the podcast returns for season 3.

In the wake of another Black body being executed at the hands of police officers, Ashli and Mashaun share their feelings regarding issues of police brutality in America. In the second segment, they reflect on their favorite episodes of season 2 and share news of how they will wrap up the season.

It is clear, Mashaun and Ashli are BOTH #teamissa. The co-hosts do a recap of the most recent episodes of Insecure. They both provide their predictions for the season finale as well as the storyline for the newly renewed season of the show.

Ashli and Mashaun invited two of their good friends to the podcast for the very first time. From their adventures in quarantine dating and the issues they have had to overcome, to cooking, dancing, and baking as a means of getting by in the midst of the pandemic, they touch upon their experiences in the midst of laughing and cutting up as only they know how.

While still “quarantined,” Ashli and Mashaun review episode 1 season 4 of Insecure and their feelings about not only the episode but also the characters’ storylines so far. They also react to Joe Biden being the presumptive nominee for the Democratic presidential nomination and Mashaun’s predictions on who will be his pick for vice president.

Talking? Dating? Hooking up? Is there a difference? Well, according to Ashli and Brett Gray, there is — so we discuss. Ashli and Mashaun also discuss the very public declaration by rapper, Da Brat, and the passing of civil rights legend, Rev. Dr. Joseph Lowery.

For some reason, Ashli felt the need to drudge up a past experience of dating someone with three kids. So, we did. Mashaun also had something to say about people claiming to be “for the culture,” but excluding others of the culture from the culture. Check out his Unpopular Opinion on Blackness.

In true Ashli fashion, she attempts to school Mashaun on how to pronounce…actually, listen all the way through and you will find out. Before that, the two discuss Black hair, most specifically locs, and Mashaun’s experiences years ago with a job who wanted him to cut his. Ashli also triggers Mashaun by suggesting that locs on non-Blacks should be permissible. And then there is Jacques, or as Ashli likes to put it, Ja-quez!

As the globe reacts to COVID-19 aka coronavirus, Ashli and Mashaun share their concerns and thoughts over people’s reactions and how the larger society has gone into full panic mode. Ashli then seeks Mashaun’s perspectives regarding Carlton and Diamond and the Netlfix hit, Love is Blind.

Now that both Ashli and Mashaun have had a chance to visit the National Memorial for Peace and Justice and share their experiences. Ashli also basks in the reality that she has followed in the footsteps of Micheal B. Jordan. They also share their experiences of tracing their family trees and are waiting on Henry Louis Gates to invite them on his show, Know Your Roots.

Power, Sex Education, The Masked Singer — Ashli and Mashaun follow-up on the television shows they have added to their lists since season 1. In the second segment, they talk about goal setting and share a little about the projects they are invested in completing in 2020.

Former Los Angeles Laker, Kobe Bryant, and his daughter Gigi were among those killed in a tragic helicopter accident Sunday, Jan. 26 in Calabasas, California. Ashli and Mashaun react to the news and offer their condolences to those mourning in this bonus episode.
