Today Ps Sean starts a new series about Miracles, still within the overall framework of our theme of Multiplication. He begins by speaking about 'lack' and the varying forms of lack we can experience in our lives. Sometimes this is through comparing ourselves to others around us, sometimes through genuine lack of resources, food, shelter, clothing etc. The story of Elijah and the widow in 1 Kings 17 is well known.....he asks her to make him a small peice of food from the remains of her flour which she was going to use just before she and her son died of hunger. But, this never happened, the jar of oil and the flour never ran out, just as the Lord had spoken thtough Elijah. In Matthew 14, Jesus feeds over 5000 people with fives loaves and two fish. But, he had given thanks to God before the miracle began. From a position seeming to be of lack, a supernatural God turned a natural situation into a miracle of supernatural provision and abundance. Ps Sean makes the point that this can be the case in each of our lives, but we need to surrender our lives, posture oursleves into submission before God, and act with obedience and thanksgiving. Leaning on our own understanding will never work (Proverbs 3:5-6). We are to acknowledge Him, then He'll make straight our paths. This means our relationships need to acknowledge Him, living God's way. Our finances have to live God's way. My eyes must honour Him, my ears must honour Him. My language must honour Him, every part of who I am acknowledges you to be, God, of all creator of the Heaven and the Earth. Therefore my body honours you, my desires honour you, my thoughts and intent honour you.... every aspect of every part of my life honours you. When we do this, we start to get more than enough breaking out of the depletion, the lack, around us. This is when we start to get Mana falling down from heaven into our lives, where we start to see supernatural provision in dry places.Surender, Submit, Give Thanks to God....then Miracles come......

Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. (1Ch 16:8-11 KJV)

That day, David first appointed Asaph andhis associates to give praise to the Lord in this manner:8 Give praise to the Lord, proclaim His name;Make known among the nations what He has done.9 Sing to Him, sing praise to Him;Tell of all His wonderful acts.10 Glory in His holy name;Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.11 Look to the Lord and His strength;Seek His face always.12 Remember the wonders He has done,His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced. But now I say to you—You are no longer just His servants—You are His friends, His prized possession,A chosen generation, a royal priesthood!14 He is theLord our God—Faithful, true, and unshakable. He remembers His covenant—The one sealed through Christ's sacrifice,Eternal and unbreakable.19 When theywere but few in number,Strangers in the land,20 Wandering from nation to nation,He allowed no one to oppress them;22 Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones,Do My prophets no harm.”So now—Sing to the Lord, all the earth! But let us proclaim: Jesus! He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life—Salvation is found in no one else.Declare His glory—His everlasting love poured out for the world.Proclaim His marvelous deeds among all peoples.25 For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; He is to be feared above all gods.26 For all the gods of the nations are idols,But the Lord made the heavens.27 Splendor and majesty are before Him;Strength and joy are in His dwelling place. So ascribe to the Lord, all youfamilies of nations—Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength!Bring your worship, bring your offering,Come before Him— Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness!30 Tremble before Him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.31 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad,Let them say among the nations:“The Lord reigns!” 32 Let thesea resound, and all that is in it;Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them!33 Let the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord—For He comes to judge the earth.34 Givethanks to the Lord, for He is good! His love endures forever. The joy of the Lord is our strength! And His Spirit sings through us songs the enemy cannot silence.Even in a world of anxiety, we look to Christ—Our peace in the storm, our anchor in the waves.36 Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ,From everlasting to everlasting! And now, I prophesy over your fear—Be still. You were not born to be anxious. For His Spirit within you is one of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind. You were born to be bold,To be strong,To be courageous—For in Christ, you are more than a conqueror.Anxiety cannot bring you down.Depression has no hold over your born-again spirit.Do not accommodate these lying spirits—Speak the life of Christ over your mind.Affirm the reality of who He has called you to be.Give thanks to Him.Be watchful in prayer.Be steadfast in worship.Like David—Dance before your King, undignified.Dance before the throne of mercy,From which grace flows endlessly.Lift up your voice, child of God,And give thanks.

God notices the grateful heart. He took a praise-singing shepherd boy and made him a king. There's no hint of...
Your mother has given you the next best gift to God, and that is she willed to give you life! And what we do with this life is our choice. For our God has given us free will. He desires our love, our praise, and our worship.

From Psalm 118. This sermon was preached by David Shaw and is 32 minutes long.
Send us a textGratitude transforms how we experience life's challenges. Drawing from 1 Thessalonians 5:18, today's meditation explores the profound difference between being thankful FOR everything versus IN everything. This isn't semantic wordplay—it's a life-changing distinction that reshapes our entire approach to suffering.God's goodness remains constant even when our circumstances don't. Every blessing originates from Him (James 1:17), which means He stands as our solution, not our problem. While scripture acknowledges that troubles inevitably come, the promises of scripture remind us we're never alone in them. Greater is He within us than any force against us. The righteous face many afflictions, yet divine deliverance remains assured. The cross reveals Jesus' heart toward our suffering. He endured ultimate pain "for the joy set before Him"—and remarkably, that joy was us. This great exchange offers righteousness for our shame, peace for our turmoil, and hope for our despair. When darkness feels overwhelming, remember God isn't bringing death, curses, or trouble—He's your refuge from them. He stands as your ever-present help, your closest friend, your unshakable rock. The invitation remains simple yet profound: don't blame Him, claim Him. Run toward God rather than away when life gets difficult. In doing so, you'll discover the supernatural ability to give thanks in everything, reflecting the true will of God for your life.Support the show
This episode encourages others to always keep our mind on God no matter the circumstance. We should rejoice, keep praying and give thanks to our Heavenly Father. God will never leave us nor forsake us. Challenges will come which is why we should always be mindful of God's presence in our lives. Never give up no matter what. Keep praying and keep believing.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”

You work hard. You push forward. You strive for more. But when was the last time you actually enjoyed what God has already given you? Welcome to The Daily. We go through the bible verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter, every single day. Our text today is Ecclesiastes 5:19-20. Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God. For he will not much remember the days of his life because God keeps him occupied with joy in his heart. — Ecclesiastes 5:19-20 The Real Treasure We spend so much of our lives striving—chasing success, accumulating possessions, and seeking the next big thing. But Solomon, a man who literally had everything, tells us that the real gift isn't the wealth itself. It's the ability to enjoy it. To slow down and truly enjoy it. And that joy? That contentment? It's not something you have earned from hard work alone—it's a gift from God. Enjoying What God Provides Notice again that Solomon doesn't condemn wealth, possessions, or hard work. He acknowledges them as blessings from God. But they only become meaningful when we take the time to enjoy them. That power doesn't come from the money itself—it comes from God. God gives us the ability to find joy in our work, to accept our place in life, and the opportunity to be present in the moment. The Secret to a Joy-Filled Life But verse 20 contains a powerful insight: The person who lives with God-given contentment doesn't dwell on the hardships of life. Why? Because God fills his heart with joy. He's not stuck in the past, weighed down by regrets. He's not obsessed with an uncertain future. He's fully engaged in the present because his joy isn't rooted in circumstances—it's anchored in God. A Challenge for Today Are you constantly chasing more, or are you enjoying what God has already given? Are you restless, or do you have peace in your work and daily life? True joy isn't found in what we own—it's found in knowing the One who gives everything. Stop and enjoy him and his blessing to you today. #JoyInChrist, #GodsBlessings, #Contentment ASK THIS: What are some gifts from God that you've taken for granted? How can you practice contentment in your daily life today? What is one way you can slow down and enjoy what God has provided? How does anchoring your joy in God change your perspective on success? DO THIS: Pause today and thank God for at least three blessings you already have—then take time to truly enjoy them. PRAY THIS: Lord, help me to recognize and enjoy the blessings You have already given me instead of constantly chasing more. Fill my heart with joy that comes from You, not from my circumstances. Amen. PLAY THIS: I'll Give Thanks.

Do Everything You Do with a Grateful Heart - Psalm 107:1-3I am speaking of course about GRACE vision goggles! Those who have received God's grace through faith in Jesus are able to have a constant perspective that will help them serve God with clarity and confidence.5 G Living: Do Everything you do:For the Glory of GodFor the Good of your fellow manTo get the Gospel to non-believersTo help your fellow Christians GrowWith a Grateful HeartThe Hebrew word for Give Thanks is yada (H3034), which occurs 114 times in the Old Testament. It literally means “to throw” or “to cast.” Used toward God, it means “to praise” or “to give thanks.” But it is also used toward ourselves to confess our sins to God (Psalm 32:5).I acknowledged (H3034) my sin to You, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess (H3034) my transgressions to the LORD,” and You forgave the iniquity of my sin.” - Psalm 32:5The word benefit in Luke 6, verses 32-33, and credit in verse 34 is actually the great word charis, the word for grace and favor but also a word translated benefit, credit, thanks and gratitude in the New Testament. The word for steadfast love in Psalm 107:1 is the great word Hesed (H2617), which occurs 251 times in the Old Testament. It is translated steadfast love in the ESV, Faithful love in the HCSB, Lovingkindness and Mercy in the KJV. It is used of God's covenant love toward Israel. The closest New Testament word to it may very well be grace. For it is all for your sake, so that as grace (G5485) extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving (G2169), to the glory of God. - Romans 4:15Being grateful is all about recognizing God's blessing in your life, from His common grace to His saving grace. A grateful heart becomes the “Night vision goggles” of 5 G Living.I give thanks (G2168) to my God always for you because of the grace (G5485) of God that was given you in in Christ Jesus. - 1 Cor. 1:4Thanks (G5485) be to God for His inexpressible gift. - 2 Cor. 9:15Note that the word for grace is translated thanks in 2 Corinthians 9:15. A Grateful heart is a grace-filled heart! As each one has received a gift (G5486), use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace (G5485). - 1 Peter 4:10For this is a gracious (G5485) thing, when, mindful of God, one endures sorrows for while suffering unjustly. - 1 Pet. 2:19The benefits of gratitude go beyond the spiritual to the physical, psychological, and social.

Joined on this special (unplanned episode) by none other than PJ Norwood. We have a whole lot to talk about including his story of donating life to a friend, and why we are spreading the word. Of course it is PJ Norwood so there was a lot of tactics, and why we should stop believing and start knowing. Fire behavior was on the agenda... plus as always... everything the audience threw our way!

Happy Thanksgiving! For your listening pleasure as you travel, prepare the holiday meal, or just enjoy some well-deserved time off, here's an encore presentation of last year's Turkey Day special. It's a collection of Thanksgiving-themed mysteries starring some of my favorite old time radio detectives with a few special guests dropping in for some musical and comedic performances. We've got a pair of adventures of Casey, Crime Photographer - "After Turkey, the Bill" (originally aired on CBS on November 27, 1947), and "Holiday" (originally aired on CBS on November 25, 1948). Jack Webb encounters a modern-day Miles Standish and a turkey shoot more dangerous for man than bird in "The Pilgrim's Progress" from Jeff Regan, Investigator (originally aired on CBS on November 13, 1948). Bob Bailey stars in "Cause for Thanksgiving" from Let George Do It (originally aired on Mutual on November 20, 1950), and Steve Dunne stars as Sam Spade and helps save a Tom Turkey who walks on two legs in "The Terrified Turkey Caper" (originally aired on NBC on November 24, 1950).
