This week on Charge the Champion you'll hear from our good friend Stephany Peterson. Stephany and her husband Jason, have been friends of ours for several years. However, they are the kinds of friends that you feel like you've known for a long time. They've walked through hard stuff with us and have been an incredible support for us. Over the last several years, Stephany has had to navigate some medical issues of her own and we'll talk about what that's looked like and how she's overcome in the midst of difficulty. Also, by the way, if the audio seems weird or if it seems like I'm not in the room with Ashlee and Stephany, it's because… I'm not. Ashlee went out to spend the week in sunny San Diego with Stephany and left me in gloomy Indiana, so she and stephany are chillin' together on this one. This week on Charge the Champion, we're joined by an incredible friend of ours… Christopher Reynolds, although most people call him Chocolate Bear! Chocolate Bear is the Executive Pastor of Global Ministries at Gateway Fellowship Church in San Antonio, Texas, overseeing their soon to be 11 campuses! Along the way he's spent years impacting young people in Student ministries, and speaking at Camps and conferences around the world! He's a leader of leaders and Ashlee and I are so blessed to call him a friend! Grab something to write with and a notebook… it's gonna be so good! This week, on Charge the Champion, we sat down with Darae Price. Darae is a mother of four, wife to one of Indiana's most successful real estate agents, and a friend to many. Darae is an incredible example of how the Holy Spirit renews us from the inside out, taking us from a life of defeat to that of a true champion. We get a front row seat as she shares some incredible wisdom on how our self-awareness can not only change our perspective, it can bring about true healing, and lasting change in our relationship with Jesus and everyone around us. This week, on Charge the Champion, we take a look at 3 types of friendships and why it's important to have friendships for a reason, for a season, and friendships that last a lifetime. Ashlee and I have been blessed with some incredible friendships over the years and we have also felt the pain of friendships mis-labeled. If you are breathing, you have probably felt pain from those who we called friends as well. Knowing what kind of friendships you have will help you to avoid frustration and pain and will propel you forward into more purpose filled relationships with others. Let's Go!

Serena Williams said “A Champion is not defined by their wins, but how they recover when they fall.” The Word of God tells us in Romans 3:23 that, “We have all sinned and FALL short of the glory of God.” In this episode, Josh and I are going to get real and raw with some falls we have had. But in true Jesus fashion, whether we were aware in the moment or not, He was right there, guiding, directing, and helping us to turn our defeated days into championship seasons.

In this episode, we are going to invite you into our living room, where we talk through how dreams, specifically this dream, of being amateur podcasters became a reality, and what we hope to charge you to champion in this season of Charge the Champion. 

A wise mentor of mine once said "History will be kind to me, because by the grace of God, I will write it." In season 1 of Charge the Champion we are going to be reliving some of the most defining moments of our childhood, adolescence, marriage and our lives. We will discuss how God has given each of us the ability to live each day intentionally and on purpose despite the ever-changing or seemingly never changing circumstances around us. So, together, let's pause, take a look back, and use our individual histories to move forward and charge the champion in you to make the next chapter of your life the best one yet.
