Jess and Nick discuss how they see time. Lastly the importance of seeing your strengths rather than weaknesses. How can you capitalise on what you're good at? Really embrace what you love, are good at and are passionate about, don't be influenced by those around you. Embrace it all and be comfortable with it.

Ep.12 Living in default mode, Self-love and Changing your Focus

Play Episode Listen Later May 26, 2019 27:16

This is a powerful episode where hosts Jess and Nick delve into living in default or autopilot, loving and accepting who you are unconditionally and the ability to change what you are focusing on. In life most of us are rushing from one thing to the next in a cycle that feels like will never change however building awareness of what your default settings are is powerful. How can you change, what do you want your life to look like and how do you want to feel? Self-love is one of the most important things we can have but i think one that is often absent, we are harshest on ourselves. All it takes is a simple "I love and accept who i am" every morning. Knowing that no matter what happens that day you are grateful for you and your life here on earth. Lastly the ability to change our focus when we feel like we are stuck in a rut. Where our attention goes energy flows, right? So where are you putting your attention.

Ep.11 Recognition of who you are, AGE and the past.

Play Episode Listen Later May 21, 2019 20:00

In episode 11 hosts Jess and Nick discuss the importance of knowing who you are, recognising what are your habits, your routine and who you want to be as it builds your self-awareness. The social expectations of age and where you should be, Nick is turning 30 this year and its easy to get caught up with what people say to you and boxes that you 'supposedly' should have ticked. Age means nothing as long as you are achieving what serves you in your own time. Most of us live in the past whether we are conscious of it or not, when our mind wanders it tends to go to a past experience, emotion or situation. It can be positive or negative however living in the past does not allow us to be open to any new unpredictable future as we try to recreate within the security of what we already know. This episode teaches you to become aware of your mindset and constantly watch were it wanders to during the day.

Ep.10 Tired, Comparison and Selfishness

Play Episode Listen Later May 12, 2019 25:45

In this episode hosts, Jess and Nick find themselves discussing very timely topics for what is going on in their life. Going from one thing to another recently they have been feeling a little TIRED and that's okay. Its important amongst everything they talk about to acknowledge when you are tired and managing that for yourself. In life we compare so much of what we have or don't have with everyone around us, Jess and Nick encourage us to focus on ourselves and not worry about where anyone else is at. Lastly selfishness this can be a little controversial as its finding that balance of living life for yourself whilst still being respectful to others. Too often they have found themselves put out because they haven't put themselves first, living consciously is largely attributed to knowing what you want and putting yourself first.

Self-awareness the tool to consciousness they would argue, it is in essence the awareness of everything we are and want in life. When we have self-awareness we can lead the life we want. Lastly a topic that many people talk about and most of us engage with day to day Social Media. It is part of our lives in the 21st century and although it can be seen as a place of negative toxicity and a base for comparison it also can serve as a platform that shares positive, supportive and helpful advice. It all depends on how you engage with it and what you follow.
