Just a Christian guy created with a disability and a student earning a Masters of Divinity in Apologetics. This podcast is about a disabled apologist that teaches how to defend the Christian faith & disabling false beliefs.
On this week's podcast, we are finally back after a lengthy pause to discuss a recent breakout session I did at the Southern Evangelical Seminary Steadfast Apologetics and Evangelism National Conference this past October. We go through how the breakout session began, how the three worldviews (Atheism, Hinduism, and Christianity) view those with disabilities, and how this proves the existence of God.
This week Drew and I talked about the importance of truth both that it corresponds to reality and that truth is embodied by Christ whom we ought to proclaim as Lord & Savior. There are many ways to Evangelize and we go through some areas of David Geisler's Conversational Evangelism.
This week's podcast we're going to look at the philosophy of Postmodernism and how Western Society got to where we are today. While also defending Western thought being rooted in Judeo-Christian values and the discovery of objective truth in the Socratic and Aristotelian schools of thought. This is a clip from a previous Apologetics Conference I did a talk at with young adults and students.
In this week's episode, I sit down with my Student Pastor Assistant, Drew Bentley and we discuss how so many Christians interact with the world and how we ought to biblically interact with the world. In today's society, it is very difficult to find a Christian sold out for Christ and not being captivated by worldly philosophies. 1 John 2 talks about not loving the world so as we discuss it is of our utmost importance to understand that whichever way the culture is swaying is most likely going to be anti-God. Enjoy, rate, comment, and subscribe to the podcast on all platforms.
This week we get to listen to a session from our Apologetics Conference where our Pastor friend Brandon Gaster gave a tremendous session on Men & Women, the roles of men and women as well as the illogical views of the culture about men and women. Brandon defends the biblical view of men and women!
One of the biggest downfalls in the church has been the lack of attention to mental health and in this episode, Biblical Counselor Shane Lakey from CrossLife Ministries that is going to explain to us what mental health is, a few different mental illnesses, and how the church ought to disciple people. If you or anyone you know is in need of real biblical counseling help go to crosslifeministries.org
In this episode, we will listen to one of the main sessions of an Apologetics Conference myself, and a few other speakers you will be hearing from in the next few episodes. In this episode we have Dr. Thomas McCuddy (DMin in Apologetics) discussing why there is a "problem of evil" and how we as Christians ought to go about answering the objections against God on the basis of the problem of evil. If you'd like to support his ministry please go to familiesofvirtue.comĀ
We sit down with Dr. Thomas McCuddy, a professor of Apologetics at Carolina College of Biblical Studies, and the President of Families of Virtues. Dr. McCuddy and I discuss the interesting aspect of social justice and the differentiation between biblical (or true) justice and social justice. Within the discussion, we hit on topics such as Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality. For more information on Families of Virtues, please visit: https://familiesofvirtue.com/
In this episode, Joh sits down and talks with one of his high school students about the issues of being a Christ-follower in high school. More importantly how difficult it can be to evangelize to peers while being in school. Our students today are not sheltered from the real world but that culture has been cemented into our public school system meaning Generation Z from an early age is exposed to political, ideological, and spiritual warfare like no other generation before.
This week Josh reprises a recent sermon he gave on Sunday morning entitled "Defense For The Hope" from 1 Peter 3:15. Josh talks about 3 reasons given by Dr. Norman Geisler in his message as to why one ought to care about and participate in apologetics.
Disabling Apologetics host Josh begins kicks it off with a great friend and first guest of the show David Probus who was born with a disability that the Lord used for David as a Christ-follower to be a witness to others. Josh and David talk about their experiences growing up with a disability and how it was both difficult at times and shown to be a blessing as Christ-followers that have a unique ability to witness to others. Josh and David also dive into other subjects concerning the church as a whole. Enjoy episode one!
