Send us Fan MailThe scariest part of fitness is never the workout. It's the story in your head before you even start. In this episode, we unpack why fitness feels so intimidating for so many people and why it's one of the most powerful tools for mental health that exists. From Bianca's fitness journey that began in self-hatred, crash diets, and toxic yo-yo cycles before becoming one of the things she's most proud of, to Emilia learning to work with her body instead of against it, this conversation gets honest about the destructive narratives, taboo body relationships, and quiet fears that keep people from ever starting. We also dig into a wake-up call moment at the gym that sparked a deeper conversation about what our bodies reveal about our minds, the vicious cycle of eroding self-trust through maladaptive coping, and why "scary" evolves at every stage of life, from entry-point fear to injury fear to losing muscle mass in your 50s and 60s. Whether your version of fitness is strength training, yoga, hiking, or silent disco, you hold the pen of what fitness means for you, and your mental health will thank you for writing that story. Here's a related episode that builds on today's conversation: #474 | Why Poor Decisions Get All the Hype - https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/evolve-ventures/id1511831621?i=1000747149581Learn more about:

What does it take to stay at the top of broadcasting for decades and what do you learn along the way? I had a fascinating conversation with one of Britain's most recognisable sporting voices, the gold medallist of commentating, John Inverdale, about his life and career. From the early days of breaking into broadcasting to covering some of the greatest moments in sporting history, John shares the highs that defined him, the challenges that tested him and the lessons he's learned. On this week's episode, we're joined by Lloyd Cole, one of Britain's most respected singer-songwriters. As the frontman of Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, he helped shape alternative music in the 80s with classic albums like Rattlesnakes, before going on to build a critically acclaimed solo career spanning more than four decades. In this fascinating conversation, Lloyd looks back on the formation of the Commotions, the stories behind songs like Perfect Skin and Are You Ready to Be Heartbroken and the literary influences that have always been at the heart of his songwriting. He also opens up about the pressures of success, the creative tensions that eventually led to the band's breakup, and why moving to New York gave him the freedom to reinvent himself as a solo artist. We also discuss his love of music, from David Bowie and Bob Dylan to Steely Dan and disco, his ever evolving approach to songwriting, and why he believes the key to a lasting career is trusting your own artistic instincts rather than following trends. Insightful, honest and full of humour, it's a conversation with an artist who continues to challenge himself creatively while remaining true to his own unique vision. For decades, but particularly over the last three years, anti-Israel activists have repeatedly sought to hijack indigenous language and terms in their attempt to demonize the Jewish State. From accusations like "colonization," these activists have turned truth on its head, and received widespread sympathetic coverage from the news media as a result. But that doesn't mean there is any merit to their claims. One of their loudest opponents has been the Honourable Harry LaForme, a trailblazing Indigenous judge in Canada who has served as Chair of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Land Claims, among many other achievements.

Most people spend a lifetime trying to balance their passions.Tannis Kowalchuk planted hers in the same field. In this episode of HarmonyTALK, host Lisa Champeau sits down with the artistic director of Farm Arts Collective and co-owner of Willow Wisp Organic Farm along Pennsylvania's Delaware River.A performer at heart, Tannis always knew she belonged on a stage. Then she met a farmer. What followed was a remarkable journey that combined two seemingly different worlds into one life's mission.Today, Tannis is an actor, director, producer, farmer, educator, and climate advocate whose work has transformed a working organic and solar farm into a destination for original theater and community dialogue. Her productions are performed right on the farm, where audiences gather among fields, barns, and open skies to experience stories rooted in the realities of rural life. This summer, she directs Johnny Appleseed: An Historical Fantasia, the Farm Arts Collective's newest original production.During the conversation, Tannis shares how farming changed the way she sees the world, why climate change has become one of the most urgent topics facing agriculture, and how theater can help people understand challenges that affect all of us.As she explains:"Climate change and new weather events are the talk of the farming community. First, these devastating events affect farmers, then they affect the eaters. And the eaters are all of us."Tannis also offers thoughtful advice for aspiring artists, emphasizing the importance of mastering your craft, building relationships with mentors and collaborators, and staying committed to the work.Insightful, inspiring, and deeply original, this episode explores what happens when creativity, purpose, and community all take root in the same place.@Farm Arts Collective @Willow Wisp Organic Farm @Lisa Champeau

My friend Hunter Knott (UVU grad in computer science, RM) joins us to share his story growing up and starting to hear stuff about gay people (during his high school years), going on a mission (at the start of COVID, getting reassigned), and then after his mission starting to consider “he might not be straight”. Hunter talks about starting to come to terms with his sexual orientation in 2022 with a powerful journey entrée—the shock he felt—and the answer of comfort. Hunter talks about enrolling in the UVU LGBT Institute class and how helpful/spiritually uplifting it is to connect with other LGBTQ members walking this road. Hunter frames this class as the “restoration of His LGBTQ people”. Hunter talks about coming out to his parents (great experience) and his family—including his parents attending Gather. Hunter also talks about the parallels between black Latter-day Saints before 1978 and the current plight of LGBTQ members—super insightful. Hunter talks about dating women and not being able to make that work—and then dating men including his first kiss and involving his family in his dating. Hunter talks about his current steady boyfriend Will and the love/peace he is finding in his life and hopes for their future together—including feeling “called” to continue to attend church as a same-sex married couple. Elizabeth Rea uses psychic abilities to advise CEOs and founders on high-stakes decisions, and previously worked with US federal agents solving cold murder cases. She's the founder of Insightful, where she provides expanded intelligence to help leaders make clearer decisions in complex business environments. Her work spans solving unsolved murders and guiding executives toward better outcomes. Rea had a near-death experience at 16 in a McDonald's bathroom. During the incident, she watched from outside her body as a nurse checked her pulse on a white Timex watch. She could hear people's thoughts and feel their emotions. That experience revealed to her that consciousness exists independently of the physical body. Her ability to access this expanded intelligence later helped solve a cold murder case in a Napa Valley tavern that had been unsolved for 20 years. She saw a man with dirty blonde hair and a white T-shirt, and visualized an old Cadillac with a tail fin. Thirty days after sharing these details, DNA evidence identified the murderer serving time in a Colorado prison. He had stolen the exact white Cadillac she described. Now Rea works confidentially with ethical founders, CEOs, and investors worldwide. Her clients seek her out for clarity, sharper decision-making, and understanding the forces at play in complex situations. She discusses how the CIA has infiltrated psychic programs and why government agencies continue using psychic abilities despite public denial. In today's episode, we get honest about self-leadership, personal responsibility, conscious growth, and the quiet daily choices that shape who you become. Leadership is not reserved for people with titles, teams, platforms, or authority. It starts in the private moments, especially when pain, fear, old patterns, and resistance make the easier path feel reasonable. We look at what it means to lead yourself first, how unconscious patterns can keep dysfunction alive, and why one harder decision can shift the way you show up in your life, relationships, and future. Stop waiting for life to hand you authority. Send us Fan MailMen are struggling in ways our culture still barely knows how to name. In this episode, we take an honest look at men's mental health, emotional suppression, therapy resistance, vulnerability, fatherhood, and the quiet pressure many men carry to stay strong even when they are barely holding it together. This is not a blame-heavy episode, and it is not a soft excuse for harmful behavior. It is a clearer look at what happens when men are taught to joke instead of feel, perform instead of process, and disappear inside themselves instead of asking for help. We also talk about why safe spaces matter, why support cannot be theoretical, and why healing has to move from awareness into action. Send us Fan MailIn today's episode of Evolve Ventures Tech, we look at the uncomfortable truth behind using alcohol as stress relief. When life feels heavy, alcohol can seem like the fastest way to soften the noise, fit into social settings, or finally feel like yourself again. But what feels like comfort can quietly become avoidance, and what looks normal can still be costing you clarity, connection, and emotional control. We explore the psychology behind why alcohol is such an easy coping mechanism, how stress exposes what needs attention, and why the harder choice is often the one that actually gives you your life back. What if the answers you're searching for… aren't just in data, strategy, or logic—but somewhere deeper? In this episode, we sit down with Elizabeth Rea, evidentiary clairvoyant psychic medium and founder of Insightful, to explore what she calls expanded intelligence—a way of knowing that goes beyond what we can see, measure, or prove. And yes… it all started with a near-death experience. After being clinically dead as a teenager, Elizabeth returned with a profound shift in perception—one that allows her to access insight beyond the physical world. Today, she uses that ability to help founders, investors, leaders—and even federal agents—navigate high-stakes decisions with clarity and confidence. This conversation is equal parts mind-expanding and grounding, as we explore the intersection of science, intuition, and the unseen forces shaping our lives.IN THIS EPISODE, WE DIVE INTO...The moment that changed everything: Elizabeth shares her near-death experience—and how it unlocked her ability to perceive beyond the physical world. What “expanded intelligence” actually means: Think: insight that reveals hidden motives, relationship dynamics, and future outcomes—without relying on traditional logic. How intuition shows up in real life (and real decisions): From business strategy to personal relationships, Elizabeth explains how this deeper knowing can guide you.Bridging science + spirituality: Why this isn't about “woo”—it's about accessing information that already exists, just beyond our usual awareness. The power of seeing what's beneath the surface: What becomes possible when you understand the why behind people's actions—not just the actions themselves.WHY THIS CONVERSATION MATTERSWe're taught to trust logic. To gather data. To analyze. But what if that's only part of the picture? Elizabeth introduces a new lens—one that invites you to trust your own inner knowing alongside everything else. Because sometimes, the clarity you're looking for isn't something you figure out… It's something you feel.THE NUDGE YOU NEEDIf you've ever had a gut feeling you couldn't explain… If you've ever just known something without proof… This episode might help you start trusting that voice a little more.MORE WITH ELIZABETH REALearn more about Elizabeth and her work at insightful.foundationElizabeth works by referral only. Send us Fan MailWhat if the beliefs running your life were never really yours? In today's episode, we take an honest look at patriarchy, matriarchy, power, money, identity, and the family roles that quietly influence how we see ourselves and each other. This is not about blaming men, dismissing women, or turning growth into a gender war. It is about noticing the narratives we inherited, especially the ones that affect our relationships, standards, emotional expression, self-worth, and ability to think clearly. From unconscious family dynamics to the way power shows up in love and leadership, this episode opens the door to a deeper kind of reflection. It's a terrible feeling. In this episode I'm talking with Inner Circle coach Melissa about the thing nobody says out loud: that if you really want to grow (sustainably) you have to slow down and build some systems and processes first. You'll walk away with three action steps that will get you on track to start scaling towards a business that works for you, not the other way around. Survivor AU: Redemption Keeley Jenkinson Deep Dive Australian Survivor: Redemption is back as host Mike Bloom dives deep into the season's wildest swings, featuring exclusive insights from standout contestant Keeley Jenkinson. In this jam-packed post-season deep dive, Mike and Keeley revisit iconic moments and strategy shifts, from late-night casting tapes to live Tribals and masterful idol bluffs. This episode explores the relationships, alliances, and blindsides that defined one of Australian Survivor's most unpredictable games, including the infamous fake idol, Redemption Beach chaos, and that unforgettable double immunity play. Keeley breaks down how she prepared for the adventure as a relative Survivor newbie, her evolving social reads, and how key allies (and rivals) like Mark, Faith, and Brooke shaped her game at every turn. The podcast traces her journey across tribe swaps, frenetic vote flips, building and losing trust, and navigating being seen as a “returnee” despite her newness. Listeners will get the inside story behind decisions on who to align with, when to strike, and how camp life and challenge performance played into every big move. Keeley describes the overnight impulse that got her cast and her crash course in Survivor essentials with help from her brother. The first Tribal Council explodes with accusations, last-minute vote flops, and defines the start of Keeley's cautious gameplay. Insightful analysis into the “head office” alliance dynamic, with Faith's mediation and Mark's ever-present strategic influence. Step-by-step recount of the “iconic” fake idol play, including the frantic scramble to craft it and the masterstroke of playing two idols at Tribal Council. Hilarious camp stories, like decorating on Redemption Beach and sleuthing for idol clues in the dark, lighten up the high-stakes gameplay. From late-night hammock alliances to tense live whispers at Tribal, this episode asks: how did Keeley survive being a constant target?
