Philosopher Stefan Molyneux takes on the nature and existence of God in this debate, showing that logic, truth, and morality come from sensory reality and correspondence with the world rather than any unverifiable divine source. He rejects God as a required ground for reason and dismisses philosophical zombies, while briefly noting how immigration rules and diversity policies create real hiring barriers and costs.GET FREEDOMAIN MERCH! https://shop.freedomain.com/SUBSCRIBE TO ME ON X! https://x.com/StefanMolyneuxFollow me on Youtube! https://www.youtube.com/@freedomain1GET MY NEW BOOK 'PEACEFUL PARENTING', THE INTERACTIVE PEACEFUL PARENTING AI, AND THE FULL AUDIOBOOK!https://peacefulparenting.com/Join the PREMIUM philosophy community on the web for free!Subscribers get 12 HOURS on the "Truth About the French Revolution," multiple interactive multi-lingual philosophy AIs trained on thousands of hours of my material - as well as AIs for Real-Time Relationships, Bitcoin, Peaceful Parenting, and Call-In Shows! You also receive private livestreams, HUNDREDS of exclusive premium shows, early release podcasts, the 22 Part History of Philosophers series and much more!See you soon!https://freedomain.locals.com/support/promo/UPB2025

"For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another." Roman 2:14-15
Big Idea: Scripture declares God's existence as self-evident and foundational.

Well, we are getting close to the bottom of the pile. By that I mean the pile of CDs that I discovered in my basement of old CT episodes I'd forgotten about. This one, if I am correct, is from 2008. It's an interview with Dean Overman, who wrote the book A Case for the Existence of God. There is at least one other book from a different author with the same title, but what I appreciate about Dean's book is that it is rather universal in its approach. That is, for the most part it does not try to sell any particular faith (though the author is Christian). I recall this being a great conversation. Theme music "Nigal."
Gödel's ontological proof of God's existence, finalized in 1970, constitutes one of the most ambitious attempts to formalize metaphysical theology using modern logic. Rooted in a tradition stretching from Anselm through Descartes and Leibniz, Gödel's argument reformulates the classical ontological proof in higher-order modal logic. Yet its significance extends far beyond theology. When stripped of modalities, Gödel's axioms define an ultrafilter, thereby connecting metaphysical reasoning with foundational set theory and strong axioms of infinity. This talk reconstructs the historical development of ontological arguments, analyzes Gödel's formal system, examines the phenomenon of modal collapse, and explores the unexpected implications for mathematical foundations, showing that consistency of arithmetic and ZFC is a consequence of the ontological proof. It is argued that Gödel's proof should be understood not primarily as a theological demonstration but as a profound structural experiment revealing deep connections between logic, metaphysics, and infinity.**********************************Logica Universalis Webinars2026, February 25

The aseity of God means God is Eternal. He always has been, and always will be. It means God is self-existent. He exists on His own. Nothing or nobody ever has, or will, help Him to exist. God created everything but no one created God.

Remember in grade school, those rare moments where the teacher was called out of the room? In most cases, chaos ensued. The class did whatever it wanted So, if we tell ourselves there is no God, does that also introduce the likelihood of chaos? We'll explore this question in our study today.Psalm 14
Stefan Molyneux discusses a caller's book, "Signature of the Trinity," which examines God's existence through the Christian Trinity. They consider the constraints of traditional arguments, the notion of the twofold nature of divine truth, and the strains between divine sovereignty and free will. Molyneux probes the caller's stance on logical inconsistencies and emphasizes rational morality. The exchange wraps up as the caller describes his work and suggests further conversations.https://www.overcomemortgages.co.uk/SUBSCRIBE TO ME ON X! https://x.com/StefanMolyneuxFollow me on Youtube! https://www.youtube.com/@freedomain1GET MY NEW BOOK 'PEACEFUL PARENTING', THE INTERACTIVE PEACEFUL PARENTING AI, AND THE FULL AUDIOBOOK!https://peacefulparenting.com/Join the PREMIUM philosophy community on the web for free!Subscribers get 12 HOURS on the "Truth About the French Revolution," multiple interactive multi-lingual philosophy AIs trained on thousands of hours of my material - as well as AIs for Real-Time Relationships, Bitcoin, Peaceful Parenting, and Call-In Shows! You also receive private livestreams, HUNDREDS of exclusive premium shows, early release podcasts, the 22 Part History of Philosophers series and much more!See you soon!https://freedomain.locals.com/support/promo/UPB2025
If you look in the “Big Questions” box, the existence of God is one of the biggest. Our series of studies heads directly into a discussion of that question today.Psalm 14
Let's put that matter to rest before the Scientific Materialism decides on another assault. It's an honor to be joined by Olivier Bonnassies, author of God, the Science, the Evidence. We'll explore a compelling compilation of rational arguments supporting the existence of a creator God, asserting that modern science has unexpectedly become an ally of belief over the past century, fundamentally redefining the debate over existence. The investigation covers pivotal scientific breakthroughs, including the evidence for an absolute beginning to the universe (the Big Bang), the astonishingly precise fine-tuning of physical constants, and the profoundly unlikely emergence of life from inert matter. This comprehensive approach extends beyond the laboratory to examine evidence from philosophy, ethics, and historical enigmas, revealing how deeply the materialist worldview is challenged and demonstrating its resulting lack of rational justification. In this episode, Eli interacts with an old argument against TAG, called the Transcendental Argument for the Non-existence of God (TANG), put forward by the atheist Michael Martin; the very same atheist who backed out of a public debate with Greg L. Bahnsen.
Philosopher Stefan Molyneux challenges the existence of God from a philosophical perspective, drawing on decades of study. He defines existence and categorizes entities into three groups: those that exist, those that may exist without proof, and self-contradictory entities. Focusing on the latter, the lecture critiques God's traits of omniscience and omnipotence, posing logical dilemmas. Additionally, the relationship between consciousness and the brain is explored. Ultimately, he concludes that God's existence fails to meet criteria of evidence and logic, inviting reflection on the implications of believing in a non-existent entity.SUBSCRIBE TO ME ON X! https://x.com/StefanMolyneuxFollow me on Youtube! https://www.youtube.com/@freedomain1GET MY NEW BOOK 'PEACEFUL PARENTING', THE INTERACTIVE PEACEFUL PARENTING AI, AND THE FULL AUDIOBOOK!https://peacefulparenting.com/Join the PREMIUM philosophy community on the web for free!Subscribers get 12 HOURS on the "Truth About the French Revolution," multiple interactive multi-lingual philosophy AIs trained on thousands of hours of my material - as well as AIs for Real-Time Relationships, Bitcoin, Peaceful Parenting, and Call-In Shows! You also receive private livestreams, HUNDREDS of exclusive premium shows, early release podcasts, the 22 Part History of Philosophers series and much more!See you soon!https://freedomain.locals.com/support/promo/UPB2025
For most of the last few centuries, advances in scientific understanding have seemed to undermine arguments for the existence of God. Physical phenomena ascribed to a deity have been discovered to have natural explanations. But some think that recent scientific discoveries have actually strengthened the case for the existence of at least some supernatural original creator. A new book, by Michel-Yves Bolloré and Olivier Bonnassies, two French authors, argues for a science-based belief in God. On this episode of Free Expression, Gerry Baker speaks with Bolloré, one of the authors of “God, the Science, the Evidence”. They discuss how the Big Bang and the creation of the universe could be the first sign of a creator, how a belief in God is different from having faith, and whether reason can make the case that Jesus Christ was the Son of God. Humans long for God, if he exists, to prove that existence, and many Christian philosophers have proposed arguments, or proofs, for that existence. Many arguments have been advanced toward that end; for instance, the cosmological argument which states that since everything has a cause there must be something which ultimately caused the universe to exist; the teleological argument which argues that the complexity of the universe suggest design; and the moral argument which suggests that the human belief in right and wrong can only come from the type of standard provided by God. But ultimately, there is no argument or bit of evidence that would prove that God exists. We humans believe what we want to believe, so the issue finally comes down to whether or not our hearts have been transformed to believe in God. Gender identity, the origin of the universe, the sanctity of life, the cry for justice—the debate seems endless. If there ever was a time for Christians to understand and communicate God's truth about controversial and polarizing issues, it is now. Believers must develop convictions based on research, reason, and biblical truth. In this series, Avoiding Confusion, we will discover what the Bible has to say about the challenges we face and how we can communicate our convictions with love and respect.

If God is the creator of everything we see in the universe, who created God? If God is all-powerful and all-loving, why does he allow people to behave badly and hurt one another?
In this episode of the Cold-Case Christianity Broadcast, J. Warner Wallace addresses two common objections to the existence of God. In this episode of the Cold-Case Christianity Broadcast, J. Warner Wallace concludes his six part mini-series summarizing material from his book, God's Crime Scene: A Cold-Case Detective Investigates the Evidence For A Divinely Created Universe. J. Warner describes the power of cumulative cases and assembles the case for God's existence. Is the existence of God reasonable given the diverse evidence in the universe? Are explanations from “inside the room” of the natural universe more reasonable than the explanation from “outside the room”?
n this episode of the Cold-Case Christianity Broadcast, J. Warner Wallace continues his six part mini-series summarizing material from his book, God's Crime Scene: A Cold-Case Detective Investigates the Evidence For A Divinely Created Universe. J. Warner describes two pieces of “moral” evidence: the existence of objective moral truth and the existence of evil and injustice. Can these two pieces of evidence “inside the room” of the universe be explained by staying “inside the room”? This simple question helps homicide detectives determine if a death scene is a crime scene. Could the same question be applied to the evidence in the universe to determine if a cosmic “intruder” is the most reasonable inference?

In this episode of the Cold-Case Christianity Podcast, J. Warner Wallace examines the nature and existence of objective, transcendent moral truths. If such truths truly exist, how can we account for them? Is there a naturalistic explanation for moral truth or is the best explanation the existence of an objective, transcendent moral law giver?
In this episode of the Cold-Case Christianity Podcast, J. Warner Wallace describes a simple investigative strategy from his new book, God's Crime Scene, to examine the evidence in the universe. Can the evidence in the universe be explained by natural forces within the universe or is the existence of a Divine Intruder a better inference?
In this episode of the Cold-Case Christianity Podcast, J. Warner Wallace summarizes the case for Gods existence from consciousness. How does non-material consciousness emerge in a purely material universe? Is “mind” nothing more than “brain”? For a robust review of the collective case for God's existence from eight pieces of evidence “inside the room” of the natural universe, please refer to God's Crime Scene: A Cold-Case Homicide Detective Examines the Evidence for a Divinely Created Universe.
