In here there are no holds barred, and the list of hosts keeps changing and growing, with limitless possibilities. The only rules are there are no rules, or judgement, or structure, or genre, or really anything. Anything goes! You'll always be receiving our transmissions...but sometimes we might…
Aw Hell. Demons have broken into the RV. I guess that’s what we get for leaving it abandoned for years….
This week in the RV, Joe & Dylan talk about Dumbledore's death, Harry Potter, E.T. and Star Wars fan theories, Larping, Channel Chris Tucker from The Fifth Element, Give Yoda impressions, Talk about pulling Millie McCormick and Nigel Spaulding from the dusty closet and How to detract flies from your patio.
This week on Earthship Radio the boys of 3Amoviegos trade in their sombreros for powdered wigs as they cross the "perverbial pond" to discuss the circus behind the UK General Elections, Why the royal family exists, taxation and how we could positively change our communities instead of leaving them prey to vulture politicians. They pontificate on elections in general and why people have become complacent with the same corrupt political charades we've all grown to disdain. Ian shares a story about the Garland, Tx "terrorist" shooting at the Mohammed drawing contest and the fear it creates when the media chooses to present the domestic terrorism script to the public which only further demonizes certain religions. They talk about different cultures, "The American Experiment" and how fear is a tool being used to control peoples behavior. Par for the course with this bunch, they skip a little further down the hole toward the urban mystery of marijuana prohibition and the magical powers of this little green gift of the Earth. They skim the surface of Gnosticism, God and the Devil, GMO foods, A possible "Big Reveal" of hidden secrets to the world, How children are programmed with dogma of the past and How we can progress as a technologically eco-conscious society. All up for ear grabs on this weeks episode of Earthship Radio.
This week on Earthship Radio, Joe sits down in the RV with Steve and Jake, collaborators on Interstellar Hearts, the new EP from his band Awake or Sleeping. Up first is Pilots, a costal love song that is meant to snatch one out of the pockets of chaos and depression. Next is Interstellar Hearts, the titular track that cosmically explores the total randomness and impossibility of planning who you meet and connect with in this universe. Third comes Crashing Into Gold, the song that inspired the artwork for the album. With this song Joe wanted to bring better concepts and positivity to chasing your dreams and crashing into gold. The 4th track is How Far Is Love questions how far someone will go to find love and truth, like a phoenix from the ash. Lastly, Holding You In My Arms concludes the relatable theme of love with a song that encourages one to escape the chaos, almost like sinking under a swimming pool into the silence. For an album like Interstellar Hearts, life is all about moments and trust. For Earthship Radio, it’s all about the conversation, and this week’s episode is a great one. Check out Sleeping Wolf on iTunes. Interstellar Hearts out July 28th!
This week on Earthship Radio, Joe gets the RV back up and running so the he, Jennifer and Ian can talk about unsolved mysteries and alien sightings in renaissance paintings. *Cue X-Files theme song* Jennifer breaks out the story of the Taman Shud case, also known as the Mystery of the Somerton Man. Happening in Adelaide Australia in 1948, the Somerton Man was found laying against the seawall with some confusing items on his person, without any sort of identification, a spleen three times it’s normal size and a scrap of paper containing the words "Taman Shud." Over the next few months many other mysterious leads pop up, including a suitcase full of clothes with their tags removed, some orange thread only found in America, the sudden appearance of the copy of The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam from which the previous scrap had been torn, an unbreakable code handwritten inside said book, a woman who was visibly distressed upon seeing the man even though she denied any knowledge of who he was, and theories that this man was a soviet spy. Quite an interesting unsolved mystery. Then Jennifer tells the tale of the "Wow!” signal, a mysterious transmission picked up in 1977 by SETI and never heard from again. Was it aliens? Who knows, but this leads to curiosities of how long we’ve been intercepting and seeing contact from Extra Terrestrials. They wrap up their time in the RV with a brief story about bot flied making their home inside a human man’s testicles. All this and more on episode 13 of Earthship Radio.
This week on Earthship Radio Joe, Jennifer and Ian sneak into the RV to talk about some very macabre things in very irreverent and hilarious ways. Beginning with Lesbian sex, they quickly move on to things like “being an accident,” male birth control injections (Vasalgel), and layered alcoholic beverages before taking a commercial break. “That’s Badass" Then they get to the macabre, which is Jennifer’s forte. We hear how she’s so fascinated by these topics that she thinks about it constantly and starts to make up situations in her head in which those things were happening to her. Then she horrifies the guys with descriptions of the Judas Cradle and the Brass Bull; two torture devices used in the Renaissance period. And they are two of the most ghastly things Ian and Joe had ever heard of really existing. They move on to her idea of serial killer postage stamps, starring people like Richard Ramirez (The Night Stalker) and then, just before they lose their signal, begin to talk about death by Guillotine. All on this weeks messed up episode of Earthship Radio.
This week in the RV, Ian brings his mum Vivienne on board and learns about the things that make her tick.Coincidentally, she’s working on her own memoirs so these topics were fresh in her mind. She talks about the things that made her into the very structured style of go-with-the-flow that she seems to have become now, which began at an early age.Because her parents worked in the foreign office abroad in Lebanon, and subsequently sent her away to boarding school as a 12 year old girl, Vivienne was responsible for her own happiness at an age when it was a big expectation of a person. But she learned how to actually be able to rely on herself, which is a trait she carried on and passed along. Then we hear about her legendary days doing her own thing, like racing a 2000 Horsepower 32ft. Phantom Powerboat (and flipping it), working in restaurants rather than join her parents in the foreign office, and meeting “Just another American” while working at a rental car company, who ended up being Ian’s dad! After briefly touching on homeschooling, Vivienne pontificates about how she’s been able to balance the need for structure in a lot of aspects of life, with the inevitable need to just go-with-the-flow. Rebelling against the social norm in very healthy ways, because everything happens for a reason. And ultimately, her secret to a successful life and family was to dedicate her life to her family, like it was her job, and to do what worked best for them, and ultimately her. Because that's what she was good at!And boy was she! Enjoy this very special Mother’s Day episode of Earthship Radio.
This week the RV is invaded by Joe Moralez and Nora Jobling as they share a bottle of Cupcake while zigzagging through an in-depth discussion as to how network television and film industries operate for actors and casting directors. Because Nora is no stranger to TV Land, she shares her expertise on the chaos of “pilot season,” the art of comedy teams, Multi-cam television vs. film, Her latest acting gig in Peter Bogdanovich's, She's Funny That Way, Her starring role in a series she's creating based on her love life, Single Nora, The deliciously sinful perks of catering and the origins of where she got her name. Once the wine kicks in, they go full throttle toward Joe attempting to explain what the Trailer Park Boys is all about while both pontificate getting around LA in an Uber, The intense judgement of a cat, How to set up a dinner party, The difference between falling in love when you're young vs. older, Creating your own film reel, The awkwardness of catching dozens of people taking "selfless" in front of the Mona Lisa as well as the unfortunate invention of the Selfie Stick… to which Nora clearly loathes. In the end, Joe & Nora finish their Cupcake and smash the RV into a cesspool of twisted metal by attempting to close out the show singing Unchained Melody from the movie, Ghost… twice.
What follows is a bunch of gibberish and out of context quotes, songs and randomness. They bounce around from pronouncing Michael Caine “My Cocaine”, ‘Murica, that scream from The Matrix, Low Latency Mode, then they address that Ian has the hiccups, Vanilla Ice, Kissing boys, making water sounds, some random (and slightly unnerving) screams and moans, calling Houston for help, creating an all new IMAX format, sounding absolutely HAMMERED. Seriously, they sound trashed at points. Mostly because in addition to the filters messing with the sound of their voices in their headphones, but the latency of the filter caused the unexpected side effect of a natural slowing of speech to try and keep things connected between speaking and hearing it back. This causes them to sound as if they are drunker than skunks…but they weren’t! Then they decide to sing. They serenade us with “Stand by Me” in a number of different styles, then move through “Afternoon Delight” “Angel” “Thriller” “This is Halloween” “Lonesome Valley” “I'll be Missing You” and “All About That Bass”, some several times over. The vocal filter styles we could identify are: demon voices, something somewhat regal, children’s voices, Bathroom/Cathedral. That pretty much sums this one up folks. Strap in, or on, or whatever, for this week’s Earthship Radio.
Today in the RV, Joe picks Joonbug's brain on the art of driving a stick shift or riding a fixie bike (Olive Oil) around San Francisco, reading the Dr. Bronner's bottle while sitting on the toilet, the latest developments with Joonbug's brands, Fresh Kaufee & Bugs87, how to package a product to fit your brand, the progress of his new mind opening comic, #Beanboy, his Good Morning To You daily drawings, how to get into a creative headspace in order to navigate the creative process, Deep Ellum's growing arts community, supporting artists from a grassroots level, Joonbug's top 3 favorite live shows and the magical origins of their friendship.
Through an online community (shout out Reddit.com) Ian was lead down a rabbit hole that threw him into passive interactions with people he otherwise would have never know existed, and now they're immortalized in a podcast. He considers what the internet can do for good, and what it can do in a negative way as well. We just have to find our motivations within ourselves. But then again, he IS just speaking to himself in this one. All this and more on this week's Earthship Radio!
This week in the RV, Ian sits down to scratch the surface of life with former rock guitarist, composer and tour manager to the likes of Eric Clapton, Ozzy Osborne and The Bee Gees: Larry McNeny. From his start in Dallas, Texas, Larry was a typical American Boy Scout who threw the Dallas Morning News to earn spending money and witnessed ferocious tornados that rivaled The Wizard of Oz. At 13 he started a band with a drummer who shared his first name as well as his penchant for embellishing the truth of his musical experience. Larry always wanted rock & roll as a major contributor in his life, which is why rubbing elbows with Alice Cooper, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jack Bruce, while playing an invaluable role in the golden age of the Rock & Roll touring industry seemed like the most natural path for his storied life.Come hear stories of anti-satanic rock operas, random attacks in the street by a group of tweakers, helicopters dropping thousands of pairs of panties on a crowd, and Jay the Hitchhiking Hippie roadie, while we eat baked potatoes and drink cheap sangria. All this, and much more on this jam packed episode of Earthship Radio.Today we officially invited Alice Cooper on the show.Shout out to John Andrew Parks, Big Punks & Road Cases.

This week in the RV, Ian and his buddy Shelby sit down with one of the most kooky, salty, tech-minded, rock-and-roll loving, kind hearted dudes, Rick Anderson, and only scratch the surface of his wild career on the road with bands like Ratt, Pantera, U2 and The Rolling Stones.
