fWotD Episode 2806: Title (album) Welcome to Featured Wiki of the Day, your daily dose of knowledge from Wikipedia’s finest articles. The featured article for Thursday, 9 January 2025 is Title (album).Title is the debut major-label studio album by the American singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor. It was released on January 9, 2015, by Epic Records. Initially a songwriter for other artists in 2013, Trainor signed with the label the following year and began recording material she co-wrote with Kevin Kadish. They were dissatisfied with the electronic dance music predominant in contemporary hit radio and drew influence from retro-styled 1950s and 1960s music.Title is a doo-wop, pop, blue-eyed soul, and R&B record, with elements of Caribbean, hip hop, reggae, and soca music. Inspired by past relationships and her insecurities about body image, Trainor wrote songs she wished existed before she attended high school. The songs on the album explore themes such as female empowerment, self-respect, and self-awareness. Trainor promoted it with several public appearances and televised performances. After Title's release, Trainor embarked on the 2015 concert tours That Bass Tour and MTrain Tour. The album was supported by four singles, including "All About That Bass" which reached number one in 58 countries and became the best-selling song by a female artist during the 2010s in the US. It also produced the Billboard Hot 100 top-15 singles "Lips Are Movin", "Dear Future Husband", and "Like I'm Gonna Lose You", the last of which features John Legend and peaked at number one in Australia, New Zealand, and Poland. Reviewers criticized Title's repetitiveness and did not foresee a long-lasting career for Trainor, though some appreciated her wit and audacious attitude.Title debuted at number one on charts in the United States, Canada, and Great Britain, and spent multiple weeks at the summit in Australia and New Zealand. It was Epic's first number-one album in the US since 2010, and in Australia since Michael Jackson's The Essential Michael Jackson in 2005. Title made Trainor the fifth female artist in history to send her debut single and album to number one and follow-up single to the top five in the US. It was the ninth-best-selling album of 2015 worldwide, and earned multi-platinum certifications in the United States, Australia, Canada, and Poland. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 01:22 UTC on Thursday, 9 January 2025.For the full current version of the article, see Title (album) on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm standard Salli.

From his humble beginnings in East Dallas to co-writing one of the biggest songs in country music history, Ben Burgess has become one of todays most in-demand songwriters, across all genres of music. He's currently gearing up to release his debut album on Big Loud Records in September of 2022. In this episode, we discuss, the Las Vegas, Route 66 festival shooting, Ben's first cut with the Jonas Brothers, Kevin and Ben's first writing session, and the "hold game" (when artists or record labels "hold" a song for a record, which they may of may not end up using). Best of all, we think Ben's cheeky "uncut gem" might just light your fuse. ;)
Today, I sit down with Meghan Trainor, an award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist that has garnered a GRAMMY for Best New Artist, achieved eight multi-platinum singles and two platinum albums, sold out three world tours, penned multi-platinum hits for peers across pop and country, received countless industry awards and nominations, and has recently started her own podcast with her brother Ryan Trainor entitled Workin' On It, while also becoming a TikTok star. She has just released her new single “Bad For Me,” featuring Teddy Swims, and has announced her fourth full-length album, Takin' It Back, arriving October 21st, 2022, via Epic Records.Meghan shares what her childhood was like growing up on a small community island, her passion for song writing and how having supportive parents helped her get recognition for her talent and eventually led to releasing her debut song, All About That Bass. We talk about how being authentic and just showing up as yourself online and in real life will make people appreciate you more, why appreciating the body you have is the best way to love yourself, the crippling panic attacks that were overcome by asking for help and working with the right people, and how she has found love with a man who accepted her flaws and sees her true value. Meghan shows us how our life may be built within a bubble and still find the courage to dream big, break free from any limitations, and find success in doing things we are passionate about. What We Discuss:00:00:00 Intro00:03:59 The secret door00:06:50 And we got two toilets00:09:00 Growing up in Nantucket00:11:24 The songwriting journey00:17:21 Supportive parents00:20:47 Why I am who I am00:24:34 What inspires you then and now?00:27:44 Showing up authentically on social media00:29:36 Worst panic attack00:35:19 Taking antidepressants while pregnant00:39:36 “I don't want to end up in a psych ward…”00:47:08 Our biggest crisis is a crisis of habits00:51:29 “When I met Daryl…”00:54:03 Loving your own body00:58:28 Meghan on Final FiveEpisode ResourcesMeghan Trainor | InstagramMeghan Trainor | TwitterMeghan Trainor | FacebookMeghan Trainor | TikTokMeghan Trainor | WebsiteWorkin' On It with Meghan Trainor & Ryan TrainorDo you want to meditate daily with me? Now hang onto your Shea Butter baby wipes, because I want to tell you how I met my husband and how it all ties into the core message I want to bring to the hearts of suffering mamas. Divorce involving kids is worse than being slathered in honey barbecue sauce and braving a swarm of wasps while you have “I'm All About That Bass” stuck in your head. Trust me. So my hope and prayer and fervent belief is that you will party with this Boo you have right now, and love it. But do the work, open your heart, have faith, and you will be guided. In short, let yourself be changed for the better. In this episode I tell my story, and strangely enough, share the most profound definition of evil I've ever heard. Check it out!

本期音乐: 片头曲:Always with Me by 壮壮Yzz (Bilibili)片尾曲:All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor 播客简介:Make Mountains Taller (MMT) 是一个以抽离目光看世界,共享思考维度的谈话类媒体资源。

Episode 1517: Our article of the day is All About That Bass.
Meghan Trainor burst into the public consciousness with her 2014 hit “All About That Bass,” which was accompanied by a triple-platinum album and loads of subsequent success. Two more albums followed, as did judging roles on the British version of The Voice, and perhaps more important to this conversation, a singing competition called The Four, where she was on a panel with Sean Combs and DJ Khaled. That show is where Trainor first encountered the spectacular singing voice of VINCINT, who wowed her and the other judges with his incredible stylistic range, culminating in a cover of Radiohead's “Creep” that was all around the internet a couple of years ago. VINCINT has since released a bunch of songs, and he's finally ready to drop a proper debut album: There Will Be Tears is packed with what sound like future hits, and includes guest spots from Tegan and Sara, Parson James, Qveen Herby, and more. You'll be hearing a ton more from VINCINT this month and year: He's going to be on the Today Show, as you'll hear in the chat, and he's headlining HBO Max's Pride programming. Trainor is awfully busy herself, having recorded and released a holiday album during quarantine and, in bigger news, signed a huge cross-platform deal with NBCUniversal that will include a comedy series at NBC. But she was so psyched about VINCINT's album that she made some time to chat about it with him, and about their favorite songwriters, mutual acquaintances, and advice on dealing with stardom. Enjoy. This episode was produced by Melissa Kaplan. The Talkhouse theme was composed and performed by The Range.

Meghan Trainor is a Grammy-winning pop singer known for hits like "Lips Are Moving" and "All About That Bass." Today, she opens up like never before talking, VMA’s and why she’s never been, being a boss & learning how to fire people, how the award shows can be rigged and how her husband, Daryl Sabara supports her through it all. She spent her childhood surrounding herself with music, learning to play various instruments and writing her own songs. As her career began to blossom she began writing music for other artists like Fifth Harmony, Jennifer Lopez, Rascal Flats and Jason Derulo. There are so many special things about Meghan, but I have a deep respect for the way she has built such a massive platform and stayed healthy while spreading so much love and positivity even in such a demanding industry, and the relationship she has with her family is so amazing. “You know it's all about the content, ‘bout the content, ‘bout the content.” Did you read that to the tune of “All About That Bass” by Meghan Trainor? If not, go back and read it (or sing it) again… because that's the point we're trying to make. Content marketing is everything and everywhere. After day 1 and 2 of the Traffic & Conversion Summit 2019 in sunny San Diego, it was clear that the major player in marketing is content. But content marketing isn't just about copywriting—it's every piece of information on your website. So let's look at… What is content marketing? Why is content marketing crucial? How can you keep existing customers coming back by leveraging quality content? But, take note. All of these methods will never work IF, as a business owner, you don't put your customer first. You might have the best product or service available in your industry, but if your customers don't feel heard, they will never listen to you. We must be willing to step outside of our thoughts and beliefs about our products in order to grow.

AFTERBUZZ TV - AfterBuzz TV's Mini Spotlight edition, is a short form interview series featuring actors & artists discussing their roles and shows as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. The song, which was co-written by "All About That Bass" singer Meghan Trainor and The Elev3n, streamed exclusively on Girls' Life Magazine on June 21st, followed by the music video premiere yesterday on J-14. Many aspiring songwriters wonder why their songs aren’t having the impact they desire. Is this you? After all, you’ve felt the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to write down your thoughts, feelings, and passionate worship for God. Maybe you’ve felt driven to share a part of your story that is difficult, but you feel the need to help others through what you’ve been through, so you’re risking the vulnerability to put it in a song. But… *cricket cricket*... no one seems to care. What now? The truth is that there are thousands of Christian writers wanting to write about their passion for God and share their stories. How do you manage to stand out above the noise and have anyone pay attention? Here’s another truth: The effectiveness and impact of your song is directly correlated with the quality of your original idea, no matter what the subject matter. In this episode of The Song Revolution Podcast, veteran worship songwriter and teacher, John Chisum, lays out important ways to increase the quality of your song ideas from which a higher quality song can be written. Chisum believes that most songwriters would be better served to spend more time on their ideas than the actual writing of them, given the writer has the right set of skills with which to capture those ideas. Learn how to power up your songs immediately by increasing the quality of your ideas as John shares: Why a song is only as strong as its one central idea Why elevating your song idea is the ONLY way to grab the attention of publishers, artists, and record companies How to be heard by increasing the power of your song ideas before you write them Why pro songwriters get all the lucky breaks What would make publishers, producers, and artists jump out of their seats to work with you The importance of “song idea radar” and why you need it Why better ideas equals better hooks and better hooks equals better songs The secret sauce of hit songs and how you can use it in your songwriting Why Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” was the breakout hit of 2014 How to dramatically increase the power of your titles with the simple device of alliteration And more… This is the first in a four-part podcast series. Upcoming episodes will cover: Part 2 - Writing from the “Essence” of Ideas and How to Craft Compelling Hooks from Them Part 3 - Originality and How to Cultivate It Easily Into Your SongwritingPart 4 - Letting Your “North Star” Hook Guide You Through the Songwriting Process For more information visit www.nashvillechristiansongwriters.com and join the Successful Christian Songwriters Group on Facebook! Tonight, we’re talking about BODY IMAGE & DIABETES with musical inspiration from Meghan Trainor. Think about it. Have you considered if your body image impacts your diabetes? For people with diabetes, these attitudes may be very healthy which actually helps them manage their diabetes or they may be unhealthy which may lead to blood glucose values that are damaging. People with a healthy body image see themselves as they really are and are happy with the way they feel and look. For people that do not have a healthy body image, the term body dysmorphic disorder is sometimes used. One of the biggest hits of last year, Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” isn’t your typical pop song. “My producer and I wanted to do a fun song, so we thought why not do a song about loving yourself and loving your body, because I don’t think girls love themselves as much as they should,” Trainor says. Guests include Chef Robert Lewis aka ‘The Happy Diabetic’, the Charlie’s Angels of Outreach (Patricia Addie-Gentle RN, CDE), Style Blogger Doris Hobbs, Emmy Award winning Producer Linda Bracero Morel, Poet Lorraine Brooks and Mama Rose Marie. Throughout the podcast we will be playing selected songs from Meghan Trainor’s “Thank You” album courtesy of SONY Music. Diabetes Late Nite is a fast-paced, full-filled hour of diabetes education and wellness advice that encourages listeners to “laugh a little, learn a lot.”
I live with a super social twelve-year-old. Our home is conveniently located within biking and walking distance to a vast majority of her friends. Therefore, I interact with dozens, seemingly hundreds, of middle-schoolers on the reg. That means “regularly.” Not only do I hear, and apparently absorb (…totes…) their language, but I also hear, and often abhor, their music. At times, I’m tempted to let something much like this slip from my mouth, “Music is horrible today.” Guess what, though? It’s not true. What I’d really be saying is, “When I was a kid…our shitty pop music was less shitty than this generation’s shitty pop music.” But see, shitty pop music is shitty pop music is shitty pop music. And also, all art is relative, and personal, and wrought with nostalgic, emotional overlay. I realized this as Jen played, “Hit the Quan” for me. If you stream the podcast just below this post, you can hear both the song and the insights. For those of you who’ll just read, and to assure myself that, indeed, every decade’s shitty pop…let’s call it Poop Music, is merely soon-to-be-dated Poop, I did some research. I use the term “research” quite loosely. What I really did was look at the “List of Billboard Top 100 chart achievements by decade” on Wikipedia, within which I found the top songs of each decade back to 1958. That’s right, 1958. People, Wikipedia is absolutely wonderful for many things. Not serious academic research, and not as a solitary source. Don’t dismiss it out of hand just because it’s crowd-sourced. While it only takes one dick to ruin something, the crowd generally trumps the dick. However, also realize that the community created a 1958 – 1969 “decade” because, I dunno, the dick won there. So, for any of you who’ve claimed, in your best crotchety old-man/old-woman demeanor, “Music ain’t like it used to be,” feast your eyes on these lists. (And hell, link through to the videos to feast your ears as well!) Keep in mind, there are absolute gems of pop perfection in each decade…and there are heaping mounds of steaming shit as well. All the way back to the decade that began in, uh…1958. I won’t try to convince you which songs here are genius, which are formulaic, which are immediately forgetful, unforgettable, and which are vomit-worthy. I only ask you to keep track of your reactions as you travel back…and be completely honest with yourself. Because a turd by any other name would smell as putrid. In either case, we present to you, “Now That’s What I Call Poop Music!” Oh…and at the end? “Paid In Full (7 Minutes of Madness Remix).” Pump up the volume, pump up the volume, chkuh-chk-chk-chk Pump that bass!
In this episode we welcome Maureen Hoff to discuss a recent sensation in the music industry: Meghan Trainor. We chose to examine some of the lyrics in two of her most popular songs, entitled "All About That Bass" and "Dear Future Husband". Both songs, satirical in their own way, deal with issues of ideas of femininity and masculinity, body image, beauty standards and marriage. We examine some of the issues with her approach and inadvertent issues with her delivery and lyrical choices.
What follows is a bunch of gibberish and out of context quotes, songs and randomness. They bounce around from pronouncing Michael Caine “My Cocaine”, ‘Murica, that scream from The Matrix, Low Latency Mode, then they address that Ian has the hiccups, Vanilla Ice, Kissing boys, making water sounds, some random (and slightly unnerving) screams and moans, calling Houston for help, creating an all new IMAX format, sounding absolutely HAMMERED. Seriously, they sound trashed at points. Mostly because in addition to the filters messing with the sound of their voices in their headphones, but the latency of the filter caused the unexpected side effect of a natural slowing of speech to try and keep things connected between speaking and hearing it back. This causes them to sound as if they are drunker than skunks…but they weren’t! Then they decide to sing. They serenade us with “Stand by Me” in a number of different styles, then move through “Afternoon Delight” “Angel” “Thriller” “This is Halloween” “Lonesome Valley” “I'll be Missing You” and “All About That Bass”, some several times over. The vocal filter styles we could identify are: demon voices, something somewhat regal, children’s voices, Bathroom/Cathedral. That pretty much sums this one up folks. Strap in, or on, or whatever, for this week’s Earthship Radio.

Mr. Divabetic and the Diabetes Late Nite team explore emotions related to living with diabetes with inspiration from Grammy Award nominee Megan Trainor. Megan Trainor’s break-out hit, “All About That Bass” features lyrics about body acceptance. In this case, the bass is a metaphor for the booty. “Yeah it's pretty clear, I ain't no size two / But I can shake it, shake it like I'm supposed to do,” she sings. How well are you at accepting the fact that you’re living with diabetes? Negative emotions such as anger, frustration, hopelessness, fear, guilt and shame is very common among people with diabetes. Navigating your way through a range of emotions as well as learning to accept your diagnosis can prove to be a major stumbling block for many people’s daily diabetes self-care management. Guests include: Dr. Beverly S. Adler, PhD, CDE, Patricia Addie-Gentle RN, CDE, Poet Lorraine Brooks and Mama Rose Marie.

Daylight Saving Time is over and the days are getting shorter. The holiday decorations are coming out way too quickly, the turkeys are running for their lives and everyone's cuddling up a little closer with that person they want to spend winter huddled indoors with. From established singers like Gwen and J-Hud, to new artists like Ella's Henderson and Eyre, there's great music to be found all around. This might just be my track of the year… "We've all been played, we all get hurt Just take that pain and let the motherfucker burn And you know that in time you will find that They'll always come back, yeah they'll always come back" - Ella Eyre, "Comeback" If you heard me play at all over Halloween, you heard a lot of these tracks in my sets. George and I's "Black Widow" got such great reaction -- we were truly humbled by the response to it on the dance floor. And be sure to check out George's incredible new original production -- "I Run This" -- exclusively first here. This track is a banger and I'm so proud of him for his work on it! Alright Alright… WhiskeyBoy Radio is back, after a few weeks off. We have new recording equipment and we are ready to roll. Most of this show was recorded on the road, coming and going, or during a special "Lunch with WhiskeyBoy" session. WhiskeyBoy spends some time recapping the Music vs MS benefit concert, and kinda flips out a little while doing so. Then Whiskey talk about some of the topics in the news, some political correctness gone crazy, and other topics. We play music from Redefine, in honor of their upcoming new album (release show October 4th at Curtain Club), and we play some Toadies; to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their chart topping album, Rubberneck. Then we have a pre-race and post-race report with Whiskey and Dani from the Savage Race 10k Obstacle run. It was good times and we have a fun little chat about it. We also play a little tune that half the world is addicted to right now – Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass"! Then Whiskey closes us out with some links to check out. The whole thing kicks off with a BRAND NEW show intro. Enjoy the show. Ashley Nicole Black swings by Studio 1Q and delivers the Do's and Don'ts of discussing race and racism with your black friends. She also explains the Kim Kardashian game, convinces me to watch the TV show Scandal and then falls into the well of sexy that is Idris Elba. Show Notes: Ashley walks Sammy through her article, how to discuss race and racism with your black friends. Ashley loves Kim Kardashian's game. Here is damning proof. Sammy likes All About That Bass and is relieved Ashley likes it too. Ashley tries to convince Sammy to watch Scandal. She doesn't have internet and is very productive. She also reads YA books for some reason. Idris Elba. Sigh.
