We are in the midst of spiritual battles that we need to be prepared for. The Devil is real. His mission statement can be found in John 10:10, “The thief does not come but to steal, to kill and to destroy,” but he’s no match for the Kingdom of God. The Church should not be afraid of the enemy, because greater is He Who is in us than he who is in the world. The greater One lives on the inside of you! Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10) 6 ways to overcome the enemy: 1. Learn God’s promises in His Word. The enemy respects the Word. 2. Speak the Word. Communicate it out of your mouth like Jesus did when tempted by Satan in the wilderness. 3. Obey God. Recognize God’s voice and His urgings in your heart. 4. Binding and Loosing. Matthew 18:18. Bind the power of the enemy over your life, and loose the power of God. 5. Walk in faith. Without faith it’s impossible to please God. Faith sees things and causes them to come to pass. 6. Stand. Ephesians 6:10-18. Clothe yourself with the armor of God.
