Marina is a former college athlete from Philadelphia, PA, who moved to Thailand to teach English at an all girls school after graduating from Drexel University. Marina spent the last two years teaching in Northern Thailand before taking some time off and moving to a small Southern Thai island to enjoy some much-earned rest and relaxation. Now she is formulating plans for her upcoming endeavors, which include teaching swim lessons and starting her own podcast! Boy moved to England after getting stuck there while on vacation due to COVID. Boy realized his work schedule and lifestyle were well suited for living abroad in England. Wyatt has been a cultivator of new ideas and innovative learning experiences since earning his teaching degree from a University in Oregon. He carried that experience with him to go teach in Esaan, Thailand. After enjoying the slow life in Esaan, Wyatt made the move to Chiang Mai, where countless doors of opportunity opened themselves to Wyatt for him to capitalize on. Kai is a free spirit from Ohio with a story from a Hollywood romance movie. Kai was able to first experience China through a study abroad program from The Ohio State University. Jay turned his knowledge of scuba diving into a multi-continent seafaring voyage around the world. Jay is a key component in spreading ocean conservation awareness through his work in Project Aware and SeaMester, where he works with young people to teach them about scuba diving and sailing. Through loyalty and his commitment to his family, Jay is off of the open ocean and back on land to help manage his sister's restaurant, Marti's at Midday in Athens, Ga. Tyler is one of those people you meet that you're able to instantly have a connection to. He is personable and always has a positive attitude towards life and the present circumstances. Tyler moved away from California, having realized the daily grind of living in LA was not worth his efforts anymore. He has been rewarded with short flights to tropical beaches and a cheaper way of life, while at the same time increasing the quality of life. Olivia has been accumulating experiences since graduating college and this has taken her all over the world, to where she is now living in Hanoi, Vietnam. Olivia has driven tour buses in Alaska and was an au pair in Germany, and these accumulated experiences have helped her find harmony as a Montessori school teacher. Finding hobbies while living abroad can be challenging for some, but Olivia has been able to live a recreational lifestyle while playing tennis, skiing, and training in Muay Thai, despite having zero background in any of these. Josh left Philadelphia to live and work in Chiang Mai and he's been able to create a life that only a small portion of 20-something-year-olds can dream of. He's currently living between two penthouse suites in sister buildings, traveling to Bangkok on a monthly basis for work and exploring one of the greatest sensory overload cities in the world. Josh has been able to travel all over the northern mountainous region of Chiang Mai, via a big bike motorcycle that he has acquired since living in Chiang Mai. Josh has been able to afford this lifestyle by working extra hours as a youth hockey coach, savvy money habits, and the relatively cheap expenses associated with living in Thailand. Lewis is a digital nomad, front end developer, DJ, and successful entrepreneur, living in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Lewis spoke about using the worst year of his life to spring into a fresh start in his new life, filled with confidence and new experiences while living abroad. Lewis is able to work remotely each day and venture to unique coffee shops around Chiang Mai, or leave town completely and continue his work beach-side in tropical south Thailand or other foreign destinations. Finding balance between working and living a fulfilling life is something Lewis has been able to achieve while settling into Chiang Mai. He is able to credit this to the relaxed lifestyle that is inherent to living in Thailand, where the pressure of deadlines takes a backseat to one's own health and personal enrichment. This couple has learned to adapt their style of living to fit the locale in which they are in. Denise talked about living minimalistically while in Saipan, whereas Jeremy is living a life he never knew existed while growing up in rural Louisiana. Together, they take care of their mental and physical health, partly to Denise being a health professor and partly due to the amazing island life they have created with each other. I was happy to introduce you all to Film and her boyfriend Bradley. Film is my oldest friend in Thailand, and we've shared a lot of memorable times together, like going for BBQ, attending rooftop dance events or any music related event in Chiang Mai, and she's gone out of her way to make me feel like family in a home away from home. Bradley talks about growing up and growing into yourself while living abroad, and what it's like living life as a digital nomad while adjusting to life in Southeast Asia. Fernando and I discuss the importance of "Putting mileage on the soul." Couldn't of said it better myself. Fernando spoke about the importance of getting outside of one's comfort zone and making yourself available to the world. After having seen the dark side of the world through active combat and military service in the US Army, Fernando bet the ranch on his ability to move abroad and create a new life for himself. Filled with life's simple pleasures, his new life started when he was able to make a happen chance acquaintance on the airplane, and subsequently help to provide a child with the opportunity to attend school. By making himself available to the world, and betting on himself, Fernando has been able to create a life the he's proud of.

Auryn and I go all the way back to high school. I didn't realize he was living abroad until our mutual friend Terence informed me Auryn was in SEA. We were able to discuss the need to adapt and create a foundation of respect for the local people. Auryn has experienced the warmth of people around the world who want to teach others about their culture. We also spoke about the importance of adapting and using critical thinking skills in a respectful manner, to behave in the ways the locals do. Isaiah had a very interesting upbringing, and he spoke to us about what it was like for him to move around the world and how he is able to make his current location feel like home by staying active and living in the moment through his various hobbies. Terence is one of those friends that no matter how long you spend apart, the moment you're able to reconnect seems like there has been no time lost. Terence and I spoke about his responsibility in my decision to make the move abroad a permanent one, and how he has adapted to living in Spain going on 5 years. Terence has become fluent in Spanish by immersing himself in the culture, and that decision has paid off tremendously for him, by allowing him to form countless new relationships with the locals of the cities where he lives.
