Feeling tired? Run down? Out of breath or energy? Rest is important not just for our physical health, but mental and spiritual well being! Why is it important to rest and not run on empty? This is something the Lord has been teaching me and it has NOT been easy, but oh so worth it!
Last week we left off on a bitter note. On Friday, the Savior of the World, the one that people had hoped and prayed for for decades, the Messiah, was dead. He had been crucified, a criminals death, as an innocent man simply for claiming to be the son of God. Because that rubbed religious self righteous people the wrong way. But Jesus didn't stay in the tomb. He merely borrowed it for 3 days and rose back life on Sunday morning. HE WAS ALIVE. HE HAD BEEN RESURRECTED. What does that mean for the human race? Join us today as we dive into what Jesus's death and resurrection means to us as human beings, and what how in His death, He signified our resurrection into new life.
Join us this week for part 3 of our Easter Series as we discuss and go into the Crucifixion of Jesus. If you don't know this, Jesus loves you so so much and He died a brutal death just for you so you can spend eternity in Heaven with Him. He took nails into His feet and hands, a spear to His side, a crown of thorns on His head, and a beating and flogging that made Him unrecognizable to all. He took our sin upon Himself, had The Father turn away from Him just for you. Why? To call your by name, to spend eternity with you, because He loves you. Today is Good Friday and all hope seemed lost to Jesus's followers 2000 years ago. The One they had hoped and waited for was dead. But it was Friday.....
