Latte and Laundry: A home for Catholic women, moms, and hearts
“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.” – 1 Corinthians 12:4-6. This week I speak to the heart of the working momma! Somehow, many of us have bought into the lie that to be a good momma, you should not work. However, time and time again, God has revealed that his path towards holiness is divinely unique for every one of us. It isn't about what we do; work, stay-at-home, public school, private school, or homeschool, but rather how we do it. Is our heart oriented towards heaven? Are we leaning into the magnificence of our vocation with a deep desire to love our children well, regardless of how we do it? Do we know the eternal impact of shepherding our children back to him? Seth Hammond's Sunday morning message from Aug 31, 2025
In this episode of What Are You Made Of?, Mike “C-Roc” sits down with storyteller, communicator, and founder of Speak With People, Jason Raitz. Jason opens up about the grit, love, persistence, and fun that have shaped his life and career, from his first spark of inspiration at an 11-year-old in a Detroit concert hall to building a business that helps leaders connect through authentic communication. He shares the highs of speaking on hundreds of stages and the lows of walking away from a toxic church environment that left him burned out and questioning his identity. With raw honesty, Jason talks about navigating seasons of setback, entrepreneurship's risks, the challenges of raising a family with special needs, and even his battle with medicating stress through food. Through it all, he emphasizes the power of words to either tear down or breathe life into others and explains why true leadership is built on love, connection, and speaking with people, not at them. This is a vulnerable, inspiring conversation about resilience, communication as currency, and rediscovering who you are when everything else feels uncertain.Website-www.speakwithpeople.comSocia Media Links/Handles-https://www.instagram.com/speakwithpeople_/https://www.instagram.com/jasonraitz/https://www.linkedin.com/in/jasonraitz/https://www.youtube.com/@JasonRaitzSpeakerhttps://www.facebook.com/jraitz

God's Word is active – a living, active force, impacting and shaping the lives of true believers. Prayer is a solemnrequest for help or expression of thanks addressed to God. A confident and effective prayer life includes assurance of God's attentiveness and willingness to hear us, trust in God's faithfulness and promises, and exhibiting humility and alignment with God's will. When we understand God's nature and character traits [e.g., loving, kind, infinite, all powerful, omnipresent], this builds up our confidence to pray AND stand on it.

In this week's episode, Ken takes us on an unexpected journey that starts with a simple thought about colors—blue in particular—and leads us into a deeper conversation about the language we use to describe our experiences, especially those tied to the gospel. What happens when a culture doesn't have a word for a concept, like the Himba people and the color blue? How does that shape what we're even able to see or feel?Ken explores the limits and power of language, drawing on everything from Portuguese idioms to unique expressions in American Sign Language, and then connects it all to spiritual understanding. Are there gospel principles or divine experiences we simply don't have words for? And if so, how could that shape or even limit our faith? As Ken ponders the phrase “your days are known” from church history, he invites us to consider whether our spiritual vocabulary might be missing something essential.Tune in for a thoughtful and intriguing solo episode that will leave you questioning the words you use and the experiences you've never been able to fully describe. What divine truths might await if we open ourselves to concepts we can't yet name? Please share this episode with someone who needs to hear it. Proverbs 18:21 NKJV Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Sometimes the most powerful shift in healing isn't doing more, it's speaking to yourself with love. Welcome back to the Back to Basics Summer Series on MindBody TV! In this 5th episode, I'll show you how to shift the language you use with yourself, your symptoms, and your life so you can start speaking healing into existence. We explore how judgment, fear-based labels, and “should” statements affect your physiology, and how compassion, presence, and conscious language can reset your entire nervous system. The way you speak about your body, your symptoms, your emotions… it all sends a message to your nervous system. And that message can either support healing or keep you stuck in survival mode. Let's go back to the basics, and speak life into every cell of your body

What is a biblical response when others have cut you down with their words? God can provide hope, healing, and freedom from pain.
The power of words can be sobering. Sometimes we need to simply speak less but that doesn't mean we shouldn't speak at all. Like a professional chef, our words can be like a small amount of seasoning that turns a bland meal into a masterpiece.
If you're like most people, you're probably feeling pretty busy. In all the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it can be a challenge to stop, to think, and to ponder. Nancy show us why this is so worthwhile.

Recognizing the power of words can be sobering. Sometimes we need to simply speak less, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't speak at all.
Among other things, Satan is sometimes called “the accuser.” When we accuse others, we're acting just like him . . . and he loves it. Learn how to resist his lies.
Is being late a form of lying? Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth explores ten subtle ways we deceive, including exaggeration, flattery, and broken promises, in this convicting episode from "The Power of Words" series on Revive Our Hearts.

Did you know that the doctor will sometimes look at your tongue to gauge your overall health? That can serve as a picture of your spiritual health as well.
