People around us are watching—how we react in seasons of plenty and in seasons of want. Do we obey God in every circumstance? He is glorified when we obey His Word. We are told to rejoice in the Lord always, to pray without ceasing, and to love one another. When we are obedient to God, He gives us everything we need. Let's obey our Father and rejoice in the gifts of each new day.
In this episode of The Way We See It, Pastor Alex Bryant takes a sobering look at what real authoritarianism actually looks like. When members of the Iranian women's national soccer team refused to sing their national anthem during the Women's Asian Cup, it was not a loud protest. It was silence. But that silence carried enormous risk. These athletes knew that speaking out against the regime could cost them their careers, their freedom, and possibly their lives. As several players sought asylum in Australia, the Iranian government reportedly began pressuring their families back home, threatening relatives and detaining loved ones. One by one, many of the players chose to return to Iran anyway, not because they trusted the regime, but because their families were now in danger. Pastor Alex uses this story to challenge the way Americans casually throw around words like tyranny and fascism. In many parts of the world, dissent is not debated. It is punished. This episode is a powerful reminder that freedom is messy, but it is also precious, and there are people across the globe risking everything just to experience a fraction of it. #TWWSI, #FreedomMatters, #IranProtests, #Authoritarianism, #ValueFreedom, #SpeakTruth, #GlobalPerspective, #PastorAlexBryant, #RealTalkFaith, #TheWayWeSeeIt Alex Bryant Ministries is focused on helping people be reconciled to God, then within one's own self, and finally being reconciled to our fellow man in order to become disciples. What do we do when parts of our faith feel confusing? In this message from our Fundamentals series, we explore one of the most important and sometimes misunderstood truths of Christianity—the Trinity. While the word “Trinity” isn't found in the Bible, Scripture clearly reveals that God exists as one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Rather than something to avoid because it's difficult to fully comprehend, the Trinity actually reveals something incredible about who God is. Our God is co-eternal, co-equal, and co-relational—a God who has always existed in perfect love. And out of that overflowing love, He created us and invites us into relationship with Him. In this message, we look at: • What the Trinity means and where we see it in Scripture • The difference between understanding God and fully comprehending Him • How the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit reveal the nature of God • Why God being Trinity shows that God is love • What it means for our lives to reflect that same overflowing love The God of the Bible is not distant or uninterested in our lives. He is a relational God who invites us into His love, His community, and His mission. Our prayer is that this message encourages you to go deeper in your understanding of God and inspires you to walk closer with Jesus this week.
Pastor Alex asked us a question to wrap up our series - how can an unrighteous person stand before a righteous God? The Gospel reveals that righteousness is not something we earn, it's something we receive through faith in Jesus Christ. Because of the cross, a divine exchange took place: our sin for His righteousness. We are justified, declared not guilty, not because of our works, but because of what Christ's finished work on the cross. Through saving grace, receiving this grace also transforms us. We are saved by grace through faith, and that same faith begins to produce fruit in our lives. Be set free from the yoke of working for your salvation, the burden of comparison, and enter into His grace and mercy. From there, our works begin to be acts of worship. Scriptures: Romans 3:21–28 Romans 5:1 2 Corinthians 5:21 Galatians 2:16 Ephesians 2:8–10 James 2:17 Titus 2:11–12 Matthew 5:14–16 Micah 6:8 Romans 6:1–2 John 14:15
How do we respond when God's will leads through suffering? What does it mean to trust the sovereignty of God in life's hardest moments? Explore the submission of Christ and the sovereignty of God in Pastor Alex's message, WHEN THE WILL SUBMITS.

In this episode of The Way We See It, Pastor Alex Bryant breaks down the latest on Operation Epic Fury, the joint United States and Israeli military campaign responding to escalating Iranian aggression. Pastor Alex explains why every military conflict is not a war, how limited strikes work, and why strong action now may actually prevent a much larger conflict later. They explore Iran's retaliation, the regional fallout, and what all of this means for America and our allies. Pastor Alex is joined by former United States Attorney General John Ashcroft, who brings seasoned insight and experience to help make sense of a rapidly shifting global situation. How do we actually grow into the likeness of Jesus? In this sermon from John 14, Pastor Alex reflects on the slow, sometimes frustrating process of spiritual transformation and Jesus' promise of the Holy Spirit as our Helper. As we move through this season of renewal, we're invited to reconsider what change really looks like and how God's work and our participation fit together. Rather than striving harder or waiting passively, this message explores a life shaped by partnership with the Spirit and a steady openness to the kind of transformation only God can bring.

This Sunday, Pastor Alex reminded us as we continued on our series of righteousness that it's easy to compare ourselves to others, to justify ourselves, and think that we're good enough. Self-righteousness says, “I'm not that bad.” The Gospel says, “I'm spiritually bankrupt without Him.” Humility opens the door to righteousness. Grace meets us when we stop comparing and start confessing. The cross still matters and it must move us to a place of humility and repentance. The truth is, none of our works are close to God's holiness and righteousness. He is the only One who is good. Scriptures: Romans 3:10, 23 Psalm 51:5 Jeremiah 17:9 Isaiah 64:6 Luke 18:9–14 Proverbs 12:1 1 John 1:8 James 4:6
In this episode of The Way We See It, Pastor Alex Bryant weighs in on the national conversation surrounding Voter ID. Is it Jim Crow 2.0? Is it an attempt to suppress the Black vote? Pastor Alex does not believe that. He breaks down why voter ID is simple common sense and highlights a key fact the media often ignores: 70% of all Americans, Black or white, believe people should show identification when they vote. He is joined by his friend Carl Jackson, host of The Carl Jackson Show, and together they take a deeper look at how the SAVE Act fits into the larger debate. This conversation is a timely reminder that voter integrity is not a partisan issue, but a unity issue, and the future of our elections depends on clarity, honesty, and shared values. #TWWSI, #VoterID, #TheSAVEAct, #ElectionIntegrity, #FaithAndCulture, #CarlJacksonShow, #CommonSenseVoting, #PastorAlexBryant, #TruthAndUnity, #RealTalkLeadership Alex Bryant Ministries is focused on helping people be reconciled to God, then within one's own self, and finally being reconciled to our fellow man in order to become disciples. In John 14, Jesus speaks tenderly to His disciples as He prepares to leave, offering words that have echoed through generations: “I go to prepare a place for you.” In this message, Pastor Alex reflects on the hope woven into that promise and what it means for us to live with ongoing access to God's presence. As we sit with Jesus' words about being the way, the truth, and the life, we're invited to wrestle with both the boldness and the beauty of that claim. This teaching encourages us to move beyond a transactional view of faith and into a daily, lived relationship with a God who is near.
Leaving what is comfortable can be scary. This week, Pastor Alex uses the story of Abram & Sarai (Genesis 12:1-9) to explore what it looks like to say “yes” to God's plan, even when we don't know how it will all work out.
Pastor Alex showed us when we define righteousness ourselves, we drift into pride or despair. What we really need to do is allow God to define righteousness, and look to Him for the standard. In a culture that constantly redefines truth, even in the church, righteousness is not measured by people, but by God's unchanging character. Righteousness doesn't change because God doesn't change. He doesn't pursue righteousness, He is righteous. His holiness is the standard, and His ways are always just. When we compare ourselves to others, we miss it. When we look to God as the standard for righteousness, we realize our need for God. Our righteousness will never be enough, but Jesus offers an exchange: His for ours. Let's not compare ourselves to others. Let's look to Him. Scriptures: Deuteronomy 32:4 Psalm 11:7 Isaiah 6:1–3 Numbers 23:19 Titus 1:2 Matthew 5:6
Did you know that online sports betting is now fully active in Missouri? In December alone, over $543 million was spent on online wagers. In this episode of The Way We See It, Pastor Alex Bryant sits down with two young men—Trey Bryant and Ashwin Garlapaty—to talk about a rising cultural trend that's quietly targeting their generation. With just a few taps on an app, users can bet on everything from the game winner to the color of Gatorade dumped on the coach. What seems like harmless fun can lead to long-term consequences like addiction, secrecy, and habits that follow young men into marriage and family life. Pastor Alex shares his concerns and creates space for real, honest dialogue about the dangers, the appeal, and the spiritual responsibility of navigating it all. Pastor Alex reminded us that at some point in our walk with the Lord, we will face loneliness. It can feel like being unseen, unheard, rejected, or forgotten. It can come through loss, betrayal, transition, sin, or even the weight of your calling. If ignored, loneliness can turn into isolation, depression, wrong relationships, and even a drifting faith. But God never intended for us to remain alone. He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those whose spirits are crushed. And we can turn to Him in our times of need. When loneliness comes, don't isolate, lean into God. Worship. Confess. Gather with believers. His presence changes everything. Scriptures: Psalm 25:16 1 Kings 19:9–10 2 Timothy 4:16 Matthew 27:46 1 Samuel 16:11 Psalm 142:4 Psalm 55:12–13 2 Samuel 15:30 Psalm 32:3–5 Psalm 23:4 Psalm 38:11 Psalm 27:10 Psalm 16:8–11 Psalm 34:18 Hebrews 13:5
In this message we explore Eros love—romantic desire as God designed it—and what happens when it's lived inside or outside of covenant. Pastor Alex unpacks Scripture, shares real-life stories, and teaches us how to steward attraction with wisdom and grace.
How does the new covenant relate to the old covenant? What role does the Sabbath play in the life of 21st Century believers living under the new covenant? In this week's sermon, Pastor Alex unpacks these questions and more as he delivers a sermon centered on Luke 5:33-6:11, in which he shows that Christ is Lord over the Sabbath and our lives.
For our first Holy Spirit Fire Conference sessions, Pastor Alex reminded us that we are designed for the presence of God. We were created to be in God's presence. Once man fell and were removed from God's presence, we began to die. Knowledge alone doesn't transform us, encountering Him does. The people in the Bible knew the laws, heard about Jesus' teachings, but once they sat with Him, they were changed. Many people come to church to hear something, when God is inviting us to experience Him. We thrive in HIs presence. That's where everything comes alive. God will meet with those who pursue His presence. The question is, do you desire it? In this message from John 12, Pastor Alex reflects on Mary's extravagant act of love as she pours out costly perfume at Jesus' feet. What seems excessive becomes a picture of devotion and surrender, inviting us to consider what Jesus truly means to us. As the story moves toward Jerusalem and the cross, we're reminded that following Jesus often costs more than we expect and asks us to choose obedience over convenience. As we approach Holy Week, this sermon invites us to slow down, give our best to Jesus, and remember why the table and a life of gratitude matter so deeply.
This morning, Pastor Alex shared with us that God isn't careless or forgetful, He keeps records of our lives in books. Scripture shows us that heaven records lives, choices, victories, faith, and even tears. God has a book written about your life, revealing that you were intentionally created with purpose and a divine plan. You were never a mistake. This is why how we live matters. Not just on Sundays, but every day. God is loving, merciful, and compassionate, but He is also holy. No matter the accusations of the enemy, what matters most is this: is your name written in the Lamb's Book of Life? Scriptures Referenced Daniel 7:10 Revelation 20:12 Revelation 3:5 Revelation 21:27 Psalm 139:14–18 Jeremiah 29:11 Malachi 3:16 Acts 10:1–5 Hebrews 6:10 Numbers 21:14–17 Exodus 17:8–16 Psalm 56:8
In this episode of The Way We See It, Pastor Alex Bryant speaks candidly about the unrest in Minneapolis and beyond, pulling back the curtain on the real issue at hand. While some are quick to frame the chaos as a matter of race or immigration, Alex challenges us to look deeper. This isn't just about who is coming to our cities—it's about what holds our communities together. Without shared values, laws, language, and respect for civic norms, diverse societies don't strengthen, they fracture. Pastor Alex calls for a renewed focus on integration, not isolation. Assimilation doesn't mean losing identity, it means joining a common culture that protects everyone. This episode is a bold reminder that diversity alone doesn't create unity. It takes shared commitment, mutual responsibility, and a clear understanding that freedom comes with expectations. Without that, the chaos we're witnessing is not only predictable—it's inevitable. #TWWSI, #MinneapolisUnrest, #CivicValuesMatter, #AssimilationNotErasure, #FaithAndCulture, #UrbanChaos, #SharedResponsibility, #IntegrationMatters, #RealTalkLeadership, #PastorAlexBryant Alex Bryant Ministries is focused on helping people be reconciled to God, then within one's own self, and finally being reconciled to our fellow man in order to become disciples. For our last service in the mall, Pastor Alex invited us to hear what God cares about most, people. We get to hear how the Lord has used Oceans the past several years to impact and change people's lives. We eagerly look forward to what God has in store for us in this next season. We know He is purposeful, has equipped us, and goes before us. We pray these testimonies bless you, encourage you, and inspire you into the next season.
We've heard it before, but it still rings true—don't stop praying! Imagine the prayers we've given up on as dusty boxes in our minds. Let's shake off the dust and pray some more! Our answered prayers are no longer dusty old boxes—they're our trophies of God's grace. The Lord hasn't forgotten about us, nor has He left us. Let's rejoice in that truth and revive our prayer lives!
In this message from John 10, Pastor Alex reflects on Jesus' image of the Good Shepherd and what it means to truly follow Him. We're invited to consider the voices shaping our lives and to remember that we are known, pursued, and cared for by a shepherd who leads us toward life. In a noisy and distracted world, this sermon calls us to slow down, listen, and learn to recognize the gentle voice of Jesus. Whether you feel confident, uncertain, or a little lost, this message is a reminder that the Good Shepherd knows your name and is calling you home.
In this powerful message, Pastor Alex Gowler continues our series, "Follow Me," by diving into the trials of Jesus in the wilderness. Drawing from Matthew 4, Pastor Alex explores how Jesus succeeded where humanity previously failed, offering us a "do-over" through His ultimate victory. We often view the gospel as a set of beliefs, but as we see in this message, the gospel is something to be lived. By examining the trials of dependence, trust, and devotion, we learn that overcoming temptation isn't just about changing our behavior—it's about resting in our identity as children of God. If you've ever felt the weight of your past or the pressure of the world, join us as we discover how to say "goodbye yesterday" and walk in the newness of life that only Jesus provides.Key Takeaways• Rest in God's Provision: Learn to depend on God's goodness even in seasons of lack, trusting that what He withholds is for your protection and what He provides is for your good.• Trust His Presence: Discover how to remain secure in your relationship with God even when He feels distant, moving beyond a need for "signs" to a heart of faithful assurance.• Prioritize Devotion over Benefits: Shift your perspective from seeing God as a tool to be used to seeing Him as a person to be loved, choosing the "Treasure" over the shortcut.• Redeem Your Story: Understand that Jesus didn't just resist temptation to set an example; He did it to rewrite your story, replacing your past failures with His perfect victory.
Pastor Alex shared this message that he desires us to remember. Be confident in this one thing: God is faithful, and He will finish what He started in you. Nothing about your life, where you are, what you've faced, or what you're still struggling with, has taken Him by surprise. He called you, saved you, and delivered you for a purpose.Like Israel and Gideon, we can forget what God has already done for us when things get difficult. But, God continually draws us back to Himself, reminding us that He is our deliverer, healer, and our provider. Even when we feel hidden, weak, or insignificant, God sees us differently. He fulfills His plans not because of our strength, but because of His.Today, the Word of the Lord is this: be fully confident that He will complete the work He began in you. Regardless of how you feel right now, God is still busy with your life. There is only one requirement: respond. Lay your life before Him, surrender your heart, and come back to the altar. He's not finished yet. Scriptures Referenced: Philippians 1:3–7 Judges 6:1–27
In this episode of The Way We See It, Pastor Alex Bryant uncovers a powerful leadership truth that plays out over and over in Scripture—everything is a test, even when you don't realize it. From Adam and Eve in the garden to Cain's unchecked anger, Saul's impatience, David's discipline, Gideon's downsized army, Rebekah's work ethic, the Rechabites' convictions, and the integrity test faced by Ananias and Sapphira, the Bible is filled with quiet moments that exposed character under pressure. These weren't dramatic moral crossroads. They were ordinary decisions made during times of stress, waiting, opportunity, emotion, or relief. Pastor Alex challenges us to recognize that leaders usually don't fall in a single moment. They fall in a series of small compromises that seem justifiable in the moment. Learning to see these hidden tests may be the key to lasting impact and long-term faithfulness. #TWWSI, #LeadershipTest, #HiddenTests, #CharacterUnderPressure, #FaithfulLeadership, #SpiritualGrowth, #BibleLessons, #TestedAndProven, #EveryDecisionMatters, #PastorAlexBryant Alex Bryant Ministries is focused on helping people be reconciled to God, then within one's own self, and finally being reconciled to our fellow man in order to become disciples. The first message of the year matters. It sets the tone for everything ahead. Pastor Alex highlighted the importance of this message as we enter into the new year. In Revelation 3:14–22, Jesus speaks to the church of Laodicea with both warning and deep compassion. This wasn't a church in obvious sin, it was a church that had become lukewarm. Self-sufficient. Comfortable. Looking just like the world. Laodicea sat between Hierapolis, known for healing hot springs, and Colossae, known for refreshing cold water. But Laodicea's water was lukewarm. It was good for nothing. Jesus used what they understood to show them their spiritual condition. The western church faces the same danger today. Prosperity can lead to complacency. Success can lead to self-reliance. And when we lose intimacy with Jesus, we lose our authority, our boldness, and our impact. Yet this letter is rooted in love. He's standing at the door, knocking, calling us back to intimacy. As we step into this year, may we refuse lukewarm Christianity. May we be refreshing and healing to those who come to us. Scriptures: Revelation 3:14–22 Colossians 4:13–16 Matthew 5:13–16 Revelation 3:15–16 Revelation 3:17 Revelation 3:18 Revelation 3:19 Revelation 3:20 Revelation 3:21 Revelation 2:7

This Sunday we continued in our series through Luke's Gospel as Pastor Alex delivered a sermon centered on Luke 2:21-52. In his sermon, Pastor Alex explained how Christ's two natures, his divine nature and his human nature, often referred to as the Hypostatic Union, serve as one of the core doctrines of the Christian faith.
Pastor Alex showed us how we finish this year matters. One of the greatest weapons God has given us is praise. Not passive praise, but praise that rises from the depths of our hearts. The Bible calls it a garment because praise doesn't just lift us emotionally, it covers us, protects us, and repels the spirit of heaviness.Heaviness can come suddenly, through family situations, finances, fear, or despair. But, God has provided an immediate solution. When we choose praise, God's authority is released. Scripture shows us that when praise goes up, it establishes heaven's rule in the room. It shifts atmospheres, silences the enemy, and invites God to fight battles we were never meant to fight ourselves. This is why breakthrough so often follows worship, because the battle belongs to the Lord.As we close this year, we are reminded: it's not too late to praise Him. Not when everything feels good, but at all times. When we respond to God's Word, He responds with His power.Finish strong. Finish praising. The garment of praise still breaks the spirit of heaviness. Scriptures referenced: Isaiah 61:3 Psalm 22:1–4 2 Chronicles 20:1–3, 15–23 2 Chronicles 5:11–14 Psalm 34:1
In this short and heartfelt episode of The Way We See It, Pastor Alex Bryant brings us back to the center of the season. Christmas isn't about the gifts, the decorations, or even the traditions. It's about the birth of Jesus. This moment in history changed everything. The Savior was born. Emmanuel, which means God with us, stepped into our broken world to bring salvation and hope.
