Following a long series of unfortunate events, Tar-Zaan and co decide to swear off a life of adventure and end their pursuit for information regarding “the last game”. Unbeknownst to them however, adventure has a funny little habit of sneaking up when least expected…or wanted. Meanwhile, leaders of the world begin to realize the importance of the last game and seek to track our hero down to learn more about this calamity of coincidences that plagues Tar-zaan and those around him.
In this thrilling conclusion to the Atlantis arc, Tar-Zaan, Jack, and the Professor are soon joined by Meriem and two unlikely house-boat retirees on their quest to rescue a loved one. Meanwhile, one of our characters continues to struggle with memories previously thought to have been lost to the sands of time. However, as our story progresses, our heroes begin to wonder what can be won in the supposed last game…and what all can be lost. Fourteen years have passed since Tar-Zaan, Jane, and baby Jack escaped the clutches of Rokoff, Alexis, and La just off the western coast of equatorial Africa.
