The Department of Justice has informed a federal court that the grand jury transcripts related to Ghislaine Maxwell do not contain any new or previously unknown information. In its recent filing, the DOJ explained that it had turned over an annotated version of the transcripts, but asserted they offer nothing substantive that would alter the current understanding of Maxwell's case. This development comes in response to ongoing litigation and public interest in unsealing records tied to Maxwell's role in Jeffrey Epstein's trafficking operation. While there was speculation that the transcripts might contain revelations about Epstein's network or implicate additional high-profile figures, the DOJ dismissed such hopes, emphasizing the transcripts were legally routine. The filing is likely to frustrate advocates and survivors who have long accused the DOJ of shielding powerful individuals and limiting accountability. The agency's insistence that the documents are insignificant may be legally defensible, but it will do little to rebuild public trust in the government's handling of the broader Epstein scandal.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Grand jury transcripts in Ghislaine Maxwell case contain nothing new, DOJ filing says - ABC News

In this episode we celebrate some milestones and answer emails from Amy and John. We discuss the 10-year anniversary of Portfolio Charts, our one millionth download and Mary's good news about her CASA work. Then we talk about the parable of the Starfish Thrower, go on requested rant about personal finance hoarding cultures and financially privileged people looking for pats on the head and their willing AUM facilitators, and talk about how real happiness and legacies are created. And THEN we our go through our weekly and monthly portfolio reviews of the eight sample portfolios you can find at Portfolios | Risk Parity Radio.Additional Links:Father McKenna Center Donation Page: Donate - Father McKenna CenterPortfolio Charts 10-year Anniversary Post: Celebrating 10 Years of Portfolio Charts – Portfolio ChartsNarrative Psychology: How to tell stories that give you meaning | Jane Goodall, Terry Crews & Dan McAdamsParable of the Starfish Thrower: Starfish Story (aka The Star Thrower)ChooseFI Pod #508: 508 | 5% SWR, Revealed Preferences, and the 3 Stories | Frank VasquezBringing Up The Baileys: Melissa Bailey (@bringingupthebaileys_) • Instagram photos and videosCome And Get It: Comeandgetit | FacebookBreathless AI-Bot Summary:What does it mean to create a meaningful legacy? Is it the money you leave behind, or something far more valuable that transcends financial wealth? As we celebrate our millionth podcast download and the 10th anniversary of Portfolio Charts—a revolutionary tool that transformed how DIY investors analyze diverse assets—we're reflecting on what truly matters in personal finance and beyond. The real highlight comes from Mary's work as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, where after three years of dedicated advocacy for five children in foster care, four were adopted into the same loving home. This embodiment of the "Starfish Thrower" parable reminds us that while we can't save everyone, making a difference for even one person creates ripples of meaningful change. We take a hard look at the wealth inequality permeating financial media, where those with millions often dominate conversations while seeking validation for their already-secure positions. This echo chamber creates distorted priorities and revealed preferences toward death-focused wealth accumulation rather than life-focused enjoyment. In contrast, we share the story of Melissa—a woman who overcome tremendous hardships including foster care and the loss of a child, yet leads a joy-filled life despite financial constraints. Her legacy isn't measured in money but in traditions passed between generations while everyone is still alive. Our portfolio reviews show mostly positive performance across various investment strategies, but the numbers pale in comparison to the real message: wealth isn't just what you have, but what you do with it. Whether you're struggling financially or blessed with abundance, your impact on others will always be your most valuable asset.Join us as we explore what it means to live richly—not just by accumulating wealth, but by creating meaning. How will you throw your starfish today?Support the show
In this nuanced revision strategy episode, President and executive writing coach Christine Tulley addresses the complex decision-making process academics face when confronted with revision requests they cannot or will not complete. Drawing from extensive client experience and personal examples, she provides a systematic framework for evaluating revision feedback that honors both scholarly integrity and practical publishing realities, while acknowledging that sometimes walking away from a publication opportunity represents the most appropriate professional choice. The process of unsealing federal grand jury records is deliberately difficult, wrapped in layers of legal insulation under Rule 6(e) of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure. Only a federal judge—not the President, not the Attorney General—can authorize disclosure, and even then, only if the requester demonstrates a “particularized need” that outweighs the default presumption of secrecy. Motions must be surgically precise, narrowly tailored, and supported by compelling legal justification. Even successful requests often result in redacted or restricted disclosures, not public transparency. The system is built to prioritize protection over exposure, and accountability often takes a backseat to process. While the courts claim this structure safeguards the integrity of justice, it frequently appears to serve power over truth—especially when politically sensitive material is involved. The legal mechanisms for disclosure exist on paper but function in reality as bureaucratic gatekeeping. Victims, journalists, and the public are told they can seek access, but few ever get it—and fewer still get anything meaningful. The result is a growing skepticism: that secrecy has become less about shielding the innocent and more about shielding the institution itself. The question is, will the courts continue to protect that secrecy at all costs, or will the demand for real transparency finally break through?to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com
