Current Colorado Rockies Bat Boy Tino Vigil was kind enough to sit down with us and answer some questions about what it's like to be a bat boy, and what kinds of things he see/learns from being around the team!

In this podcast, we talked to Chris Burks who is an Outfielder in the San Francisco Giants organization. He is currently in Extended Spring Training. We discussed his journey through baseball and how his father Ellis Burks, had a tremendous influence on Chris through his professional career. We talked about the new technology (Blast Motion, HitTrax) that the Giants have implemented to their players to help them succeed though the Minor Leagues. We break it down with Chad Addison who is currently the Regional Event Coordinator for Baseball Factory, and currently the Athletic Director at Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo, California. We talk about his time at UC-San Diego as a player and a coach, and we also talk about the Cape Cod League and his time as an assistant coach for the Brewster Whitecaps. We chat about long-time Texas legend Dodd Johnson and what he meant to the game of baseball.

We talk with General Manager of Rocky Mountain Baseball and Arizona Total Baseball Joe Lefebre about Western Slope baseball players, and also chat about the traits and characteristics young baseball players need to develop leading into high school. We also talk about the JUCO World Series that is in Grand Junction and what it means to the city, players, coaches and fans every spring. Joe gives us his perspective on how kids from the Western Slope of Colorado play the game of baseball.

We talk with pitching coach Nick Childs from Regis University about his playing days, his early coaching career at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, which then led him to Regis University as the current pitching coach/recruiting coordinator. Coach Childs breaks down the importance of pitchers being connected with their delivery, or in sync with their movements on the mound, and we also discuss the importance of how pitchers can develop their pitches from the same arm slot, and how that is destructive to any offense.

We discuss the path that coach Robby Bales from Colorado School of Mines has had as a player and a assistant coach. We break down some of the sacrifices coaches have made to coach, and we specifically talk about Coach Bales and Kyle Freeland at Thomas Jefferson High School. We touch on offensive philosophy that has put Colorado School of Mines on the top of every offensive category in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

On the Gameday Podcast we discuss the history of Coach Ray Garza who is currently the head baseball coach at Brighton High School, and is also the new head softball coach at Riverdale Ridge High School. We talk about coaching philosophies and how to properly execute them as a coach, and we talk about the relationship that parents and players should have with their head coach. We also get to talk about Coach Garza's new role at a new high school here in the state of Colorado.

We talk with the University of Maine's Head Baseball Coach Nick Derba on his take on catching. Our podcast breaks down the quality characteristics that young catchers should develop, and how important the catching position is to the team. Coach Derba shares his thoughts on his playing days with the St. Louis Cardinals organization, and shares his perspective on why so many former Cardinal prospects are now coaches at various levels.

We interview Area Scout for the Los Angeles Dodgers Brian Compton. We discuss the roles and responsibilities of a professional scout, but also talk about what area scouts are looking for in potential players/prospects. We discuss how desire and work ethic are huge separators in determining who can play baseball at the next level.

We interview Parker, Colorado native Connor Crane, who is currently playing Independent Professional Baseball in the Frontier League. We discuss Connor's baseball journey, and talk about some of the hot topics regarding hitting, and the approach to recruiting at the next level
