This #coachbetter episode is about the enabling conditions for coaching success and is a highlight from one of Kim's favorite episodes from a previous season featuring Ellen and Bruce Eisenberg, Founders of The Professional Institute for Instructional Coaching. Ellen and Bruce highlight the importance of developing a school culture that supports a growth mindset and a coaching culture.  If we don't have the systems and structures to enable teachers to opt-in to coaching and we aren't ensuring that coaches are focused on coaching work, it will be very challenging to build a coaching culture. All schools need the three elements of the Thrive Model for coaching to be successful and sustainable and most schools are missing at least one - is your school missing consistency? In Chaperone, director Zoe Eisenmberg makes it quite easy for her audience to sympathize with her protagonist, Misha. Misha is a struggling 29-year-old who can't seem to figure out where she fits. She lacks ambition in her professional and personal life and faces constant judgment and double standards from the people closest to her. However, just as we begin to put ourselves in her shoes, she makes a drastic choice. She meets a charismatic teenage boy and, rather than disclose her real age, allows him to believe she is his age, sparking a romance. At times funny, tragic, and uncomfortable, director Zoe Eisenberg's debut film asks big questions of her characters and audiences. Eisenberg, the innovative writer-director behind this Hawaii-set drama, sat down with Borrowing Tape to discuss complex characters, May-December romances, and tragedy.Streaming on Prime Video. Around the world, we're seeing declining sperm counts, rising infertility, more erectile dysfunction, and lower testosterone—even in younger men. These trends aren't just affecting family planning; they're pointing to something much bigger happening in men's health. Joining me today on The Dr. Hyman Show is Dr. Michael Eisenberg, a Stanford researcher and leading voice in male reproductive health. We talk about why sperm quality matters far beyond fertility—and how everyday health choices quietly shape it. Watch the full conversation on YouTube or listen wherever you get your podcasts. [YOUTUBE THUMBNAIL] We cover: • Why sperm quality may be one of the strongest early indicators of overall health and longevity • How metabolic dysfunction, belly fat, and low testosterone impact fertility and sexual function • The role environmental toxins and endocrine disruptors play in declining sperm counts • What men can do right now to protect fertility and long-term vitality When we look at fertility through the lens of whole-body health, it changes how we think about prevention, risk, and longevity. Male fertility isn't just about reproduction. It's a signal. Register for The Ultra Learning Series: Functional Fertility on Thursday, February 12 at 12PM ET here. Of Israel's many achievements since October 7, none perhaps was as unforeseen as the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange reaching an all-time high two years since the start of the war. While this reflected the resilience and dynamism of the start-up nation, there are troubling signs ahead for Israel's economy: the high cost of war; stagnant economic sectors; bureaucratic malaise; high population growth; and more. Can Israel make the adjustments and double its GDP over ten years? Can Jews in the Diaspora help it get there?Israeli venture capitalist Michael Eisenberg joined SAPIR Editor-in-Chief Bret Stephens for a conversation about what it will take for Israel to become a trillion-dollar economy.Watch this SAPIR Conversation on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-S4BQEQynhM Read Michael Eisenberg's essay: https://sapirjournal.org/money/2025/building-israels-trillion-dollar-economy/ Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/t/theo-gerard/monsieur-groove

Mitzi Akaha discusses her nuanced performance as Misha — a 29-year-old woman caught between youth and maturity — while Zoë Eisenberg reflects on crafting a narrative that examines age-gap dynamics, personal agency, and the consequences of refusing to grow up.The conversation delves into:The real Hawaiʻi that inspired the film's emotional toneWhat makes Misha both sympathetic and flawedHow the chemistry between Akaha and Laird Akeo shapes the storyWhy CHAPERONE resonates as a modern, culturally specific portrait of coming of ageWhat surprising, classic film inspired CHAPERONE the most!Thank you for listening! This conversation is a little heavier than most, but it's so important to talk about. I can honestly say I knew almost nothing about West Virginia before I came across these ladies, but I can't say that anymore. Julie Eisenberg and Babette Hogan are here to talk about their first documentary together that just debuted called Running for the Mountains. "This is about politics and keeping our water and air safe, requiring political action; and keeping West Virginia safe is of national importance. "Running for the Mountains" exposes some of the toxic structure that allows the polluting of our commons. Step up and into politics!" (Babette's words)I'm not going to try to describe the film; it's too complex (Babette said it in 1 sentence, but I didn't write it down), but I can say I honestly learned a ton about the WV lifestyle and people, and the direction the political climate has been heading, and it makes me both sad and scared - and also SO proud of those who are fighting. Babette and Julie have spent a good part of the last 15 years researching, following people and stories, and filming in WV, and they have seen a lot to have strong feelings about. I didn't finish the film the first time through- I literally turned my phone OFF because I got so mad. But I was expected to finish it, so I watched again. These ladies did a wonderful job of catching so many personalities and opinions through this film that you really feel protective of the people. And they need that, and deserve that. Super grateful for this education from Julie and Babette!   You can get all the info about, and get a link to watch Running for the Mountains here: https://www.runningforthemountains.com/Their Facebook page is here: https://www.facebook.com/R4M2024/Send me a message!Support the showPlease follow Grounded In Maine podcast on Instagram here YouTube channel link is here You can DM me there or email me at amysgardenjam@gmail.com Website for Amy's Garden Jam is https://amysgardenjam.com/ (podcast has its own tab on this site!)
