Parenting has often taught me unexpected lessons. Today I share a lesson I learned as I broke up a fight between my toddlers.
Read Romans 12. Have you done an honest inventory of yourself? Do you carry a fake ID to church?
In seasons of darkness, loss, fear, and pain, are you able to trust that God is the Ruler over your life? What would life surrendered to that truth look like?
I have gone through the school of emotional intelligence, and I am happy to say that I have passed at least one test recently with confidence. Today I use an example from my own life to talk about emotions and how it makes such a difference when we learn to acknowledge our emotions, but do not let them control our lives.
I hope this dream isn't a wish. Today I discuss an odd dream I had last night, and the lesson I learned from it. I talk about the power of getting curious and asking good questions when a friend is struggling, and not stating your own (negative) opinion as a form of comfort.
You cannot wait to live your life for when it's ‘easy' or when there is no pain. John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” www.crazylittlethingcalledlife.blogspot.com
Who is in your gallery of friends? Think about your friendship circles, and the amount of people who love you- even people that aren't close to you in this current season of life. God has given us such a great network of relationships to uplift us and support us in both the good and bad times of life. Today I share about my own gallery of friends, and their impact on my life.
What does grace look like in your life? What is clouding your ability to reflect Christ in the way in which we are called? What would it look like to surrender your emotions and hurts to the one who cares, and learn to live with grace as a light before men?
My take on how to beat the residual blues we all seem to be battling, and make 2024 the best year yet.
We have the choice every day to choose what we are cultivating in our lives. What we see grows, and our daily choices and actions are going to affect the fruit that our life garden produces. There are things we can control, and there are things that are better left to God to deal with in His wisdom and judgement.
Today, I share about my brand new website launch, which I know you will love. I also share about a ‘coincidence' from my personal life that can't be anything but God's has at work. Check out the website: www.genesiswellnesscoaching.com For more info on Medishare, or EDGE ministries, check out the show notes: https://www.genesiswellnesscoaching.com/post/no-such-thing-as-coincidence
What does settling look like in your personal relationships? What are the consequences of settling? How do we prevent settling? I break down these questions with real life examples from my own experience.
Parenting… I think if I survive it, I'll be amazed. I was about ready to list my kids on Etsy, when I got a big reminder of just how much I act like them. If God can keep loving me, despite all my faults, then I can put on my big girl panties, and show my children that same love and grace.
Can you experience joy and not be happy? What does deliberate joy look like? Where is joy found? Join me as we discuss these questions today.
Positive psychology combined with the power we possess through Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit come together to create a great coaching experience. Learn a little about that in today's episode.
Even as a secondary character in the story of Ruth and Boaz, Naomi shines as an example of a life redeemed by the faithfulness of God.
Isaiah 60:22- “At the right time I, the Lord will make it happen.”
Today I heard that depression is anger turned inward, and that hit me hard. It made me think of my own story, and the dark depression spiral I went through. I hope my story of defeating depression and working through forgiveness inspires you.
Perfectionism is the killer of progress. It's the “demotivator” of so many things, and often what keeps us stuck where we are. I personally fight being a perfectionist, and have to give myself grace to be perfectly imperfect.
As parents, we are still humans. We have needs and desires. Sometimes, (a lot of times) we have to choose to connect with and love on our kids when it's either not convenient, or not what we want at the time. It's SO important to be able to make our kids feel safe, seen, loved and secure. Their minds are doing so much developing, and so much of who they are going to be as adults depends on how we choose to parent them- even in the hard times, when we kinda just want to tap out and not have to put in the work. https://www.genesiswellnesscoaching.com/post/connecting-with-our-children
It's been a long three years, but I'm BACK! When tragedy strikes, we have to give ourselves room to breathe, and part of that for me was giving up podcasting & teaching. After a lot of healing, personal growth, and just TIME, I'm ready to do this again. Join me today as I share what the past three years looked like for me, and where I see Genesis Wellness going in the future. https://www.genesiswellnesscoaching.com/post/reintroduction-why-genesis-wellness

2020. That's all I have to say, and everyone gets it. It's been nothing but a series of stresses, so much bigger than any other year I can remember. Normal things that might not cause anxiety for me are even starting to set me off. Some days I just CAN'T. I reach the end of my rope and have to reset before I can go on. In this episode I talk about one particularly bad day and what I did to help manage the stress. Check out the episode show notes on the blog for more reading and some awesome resources. https://bit.ly/2XCHFOa
I aim for Tuesday releases of my episodes, but I was so excited about this one, I decided to release it early and give you two episodes in one week! This week I get to have a conversation with a mentor and friend of mine, Ladonna Beals. She has been an encouragement and an inspiration to me for my own wellness journey. It's now been a decade since she changed her life, and she has zero regrets. She says she only wishes she had made the changes sooner. See show notes in link below for more information and a whole list of our favorite products. We both cook regularly at home, but the prepared foods and mixes and ingredients we have complied for you make life a little easier. Show notes: https://bit.ly/2CSyt0Z
What's with the name Genesis Wellness? Why did I choose that for my podcast and website name? How does my personal wellness story play a part in it? This episode is a fun one where I get to share an exciting and hopefully inspiring story that might just change how you view your own health. For show notes and to learn more: https://bit.ly/30vvZ0s
Young Living has SO many products we can (safely) use with our most precious little ones. I have three babies of my own and I have used Young products with each of them from birth. I want you to learn how to safely and confidently use Young Living products with your family. These products are such a life-saver and the most important part of my mom tool box. Except for mommy kisses. Nothing works quite as well as mommy kisses for most things my boys go through. :) Show notes and links can be found here: https://bit.ly/2ZsCLom
I have taken a real life example of a common product many people have in their homes and calculated the actual savings per month of using a Young Living product vs. the typical, store product. I think you will be surprised. I know I was! See episode notes on the blog: https://bit.ly/30byrsP
Essential oils are some of the most amazing things that nature has given to us. The science behind why and how they work is really cool. This episode covers the basics of essential oils and why everyone should have them in their homes.
I read something on social media that caused me to pause and truly reflect on who I am as a business leader and what I want people to experience when they interact with me. It allowed me to develop some convictions on some topics I hadn't consciously thought about before.
We had the opportunity to host a zoom class for our friend Amber and some of her friends. This was a super casual conversation without scripts or prompts. I had never used zoom as a host before, and never recorded an audio session. The conversation was a genuine dialogue about our favorite Young Living products and experiences.
