You've been praying for healing, for clarity, for peace, but the pain hasn't gone away. In this episode, we dive into the powerful truth God revealed to me: pressure comes before relief. Through a personal story of physical pain and spiritual revelation, I show you how the very discomfort you're running from is often the doorway to your breakthrough. If you've ever felt like trusting God made things harder before they got better, this episode will remind you why pressure doesn't mean God is punishing you. It means He's preparing you. It's time to stop avoiding the process and start healing for real.Resources:Join The Waitlist For Dreaming To Achieving - https://expert-builder-3666.ck.page/dtawaitlistStart Your Own Podcast Course - https://www.skillshare.com/en/classes/How-To-Start-A-Podcast-For-Beginners/1142543427?teacherRef=958930354&via=teacher-referral&utm_campaign=teacher-referral-1142543427&utm_source=Skillshare&utm_medium=class-teacher-referral-emailThe Royal Faith Journal - https://prosperingwithchrist.systeme.io/theroyalfaithjournalProspering With Christ Facebook Group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/prosperingwithchristFollow us on Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook, & YouTube: @ProsperingWithChrist
Our passage will be 1 Peter 5:5-11 and we'll talk about how to wait on God.
Concluding the series, this passage in Job reveals that the Christian path through suffering means patient waiting, in deep dependence on God. This leads us to restoration through the compassionate mercy of Christ.

There is an amazing beauty of a traditional bow being drawn back and releasing an arrow at a target. There is a great lesson in the shooting of bow and arrows. It can be a photo of God often pulling us back and putting pressure on us before releasing us toward the target that He has in store for us. Being drawn back can be painful at times, but when we've been released, it is freeing and exciting. The further back we're drawn and the longer we're held, the more powerful and stronger our flight towards what God wants us to hit.

Sermon preached by Mike Law on May 25, 2025 at Arlington Baptist Church in Arlington, Virginia.
Only a couple centuries ago, it would take 7 weeks to cross the Atlantic. Now it takes 7 hours. And yet, we're mad if our plane is delayed 20 minutes. Your plane could get delayed 45 days, and you'd still be faster than our recent ancestors! On average, Americans will wait:- 32 minutes for a doctor's appointment- 28 minutes in the security line at the airport- 21 minutes for their wife to get ready- 13 hours a year on hold for customer service We don't like to wait. It feels like a waste, an unnecessary pause, a hitch in the giddyup. I hate waiting because it feels inefficient. I imagine the Apostles were no different. Israel had waited thousands of years for the Messiah, hundreds of years of silence, 33 years for the plan to come to fruition, and three days for Jesus to resurrect. So when Jesus appears to them and tells them, "Wait," I can't imagine it was an easy command to stomach. I want to see some efficiency here; get to work! But waiting was important for the Apostles, and it's important for us. In fact, God has baked it into our very design and redeemed us with it in the Gospel. It can often be the hardest part, but God will not waste it. So before we talk about the mission of God for the world, we're going to wait and talk about the mission of God for our hearts. It's what I like to call an inner mission intermission. Join us for it on Sunday.

Welcome to the 24th sermon in our series on the books of 1 & 2 Samuel. In the books of 1&2 Samuel, God grants his people a king, but it doesn't go the way they think it will go. Power is something every person craves, but does it ever deliver what we hope it will deliver? In God's story, power is a crucible that enables, lifts up, reveals and exposes. It is God's to grant and ours to either steward or worship…one leads to life, the other to destruction. Join us through the books of 1&2 Samuel as we look at the stories of prophets, kings and peasants being shaped and formed by God's crucible of power.
I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts;I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. Then the Lord replied:“Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.“See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright—but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness—Habakkuk 2:1-4A visual learner? By Roy L Tower - Waiting is a foundational aspect of faith, hope, and love, and is sometimes one of the hardest works of all. The life of Abraham has several poignant examples of waiting, beginning with his calling by God.
Wouldn't it be great to win the lottery? To be independent? In our continuing series on the Lord's Prayer we see that God would rather that we wait. That we wait on him. We meditate on this today.

In the Meantime ~ Waiting on God
The discipline of waiting on God, once deeply valued, has been lost to the distractions of social media and constant stimulation, making true solitude rare. Ray, E.Z., Mark, and Oscar recognize that silence forces us to confront our hearts; yet, believers often use digital distractions to escape rather than seek revival, healing, and conviction. Knowing God goes beyond scripture—it requires abiding in Him through intentional stillness. Jesus emphasized the importance of stepping away to rest in God's presence, teaching that spiritual strength comes from solitude. Unlike secular mindfulness, Christian solitude is not about emptying the mind but filling it with God's thoughts. Practical ways to cultivate this include setting screen-free times, taking walks without a phone, and prioritizing time with God over entertainment. Though difficult, the effort leads to a deep and abiding relationship with the Lord, free from the noise that seeks to pull us away.Send us a textThanks for listening! Pleading with God through desperate prayers and waiting for Him to answer can create havoc in your spiritual journey unless you arm yourself with God's truth. Amber Robinson, from our community group in West Cobb, Georgia, shares her journey of waiting patiently for her marriage partner, then subsequently struggling with infertility and waiting to get pregnant, and then painstakingly waiting to deliver her baby. This is a story that will leave you on the edge of your seat as you hear the Lord reveal His truths to Amber and encourage each of us to know He is always good, always sovereign, and always with us. IN THIS EPISODE YOU WILL LEARN: - If you give the enemy a seat at your table, his lies will begin to seem like truth. - God wants you to pray boldly and pray continually. - If you never had moments where you had to trust God, you would never know He is trustworthy. "The Resurrection and Life" | Power and Promise In this message, we explore one of Jesus' most profound "I AM" statements through the dramatic story of Lazarus being raised from the dead. When Mary and Martha sent word that "the one you love is sick," Jesus made a surprising decision - He stayed where He was for two more days. This intentional delay reveals an important truth: God's timing, though often mysterious to us, always serves His greater purpose. As Jesus told His disciples, "For your sake, I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe." Key Insights: • Jesus' Emotional Response: When Jesus saw Mary weeping, he wasn't just sad - he was deeply moved and angry at death. • When Jesus asked to remove the stone, Martha reminded him that Lazarus had been dead four days and "stinketh" (KJV). This wasn't just death - it was decay, making the miracle even more extraordinary. • With just three words - "Lazarus, come out!" - Jesus demonstrated His authority over death itself. This message speaks directly to anyone who has questioned God's timing, felt abandoned in suffering, or faced the reality of death. You'll discover that Jesus doesn't just offer resurrection as a future hope - He IS the resurrection and life right now, transforming our disappointment, suffering, and grief into opportunities to truly believe.
