Spiritual practices, sound healings, meditations, and sermons for your Soul.
One of the things I treasure about Keshia is that I can be anyone I want to be with her. She has an uncanny ability to bring out the chameleon archetype in the people around her, inviting and encouraging them to shift, morph, and transform into the most colorful, kaleidoscopic version of themselves. Because that’s who she is. She snuffs at conformity. She refuses to be put in a box - but she also refuses to put other people in them. She is present, raw, vulnerable, joyful, fierce, and compassionate. And it shows itself in connection with her. There is an ease and a safety in being in her presence…you can just be. Keshia talks about so much in this episode that is filled with wisdom and fierce love, offering really fresh, visionary perspectives on hustle, manifestation, legacy, and loving yourself unapologetically while every.damn.person. is looking. May this conversation between two soul sisters inspire your own unique insights and help you to see that you inner circle is truly within your own reach - maybe you simply have to make that one move; that one risky move you’ve been putting off. This is the final episode of season two of Soul Sessions: The Conversation Series. It has been so fun to record these episodes with humxns I love living life according to their soul and season three will reveal itself at some point in the future. Now, it’s time to let these podcasts breathe and fly and simmer. Return to them at anytime.
Dr. Gurmeet is an embodiment of Loving Presence. I remember approaching this conversation like the others I’d had on the podcast - as a conversation. But what I very quickly began to understand as I received Dr. Gurmeet's energy was that I was not here to converse. I was here to receive a transmission from a teacher. A man who has devoted his life to love, forgiveness, presence, patience, intellect, and compassion. They aren't just words. You can truly feel it from him. I recommend listening to this podcast like you would if you were receiving an energy healing session - because that truly is what it is. This podcast - through the very beingness of Dr. Gurmeet - demands your presence in the most tender, loving, and gentle way. He shares intimately about cultivating his own "inner soul family," these qualities of spirit inside of himself. His wisdom is so simple that it could be overlooked. And it is truly profound in its simplicity. Dr. Gurmeet founded the Tavleen Foundation after his beloved daughter Tavleen died of cancer in 2008. I honestly can't remember how Dr. Gurmeet and I met but I know Tavleen brought us together. Dr. Gurmeet turned his pain in power, and fulfills his mission every day of living his soul's mission of spreading happiness and love everywhere he goes. I truly cannot wait for you to receive this podcast. You can receive a free copy of his book Walk with Me by filling out this form. (Side note: Our connection was a bit spotty for the first 15 minutes but it smoothes out from there, so hang in there with us!)
Danielle Paige is a womxn who shows UP for her soul. Fully. She truly lives a life of no excuses - and that is a rarity. She can’t not be herself and it’s palpable. I love her and she teaches me so much about this. I’m so grateful to know her and I’m so grateful to share this conversation with you. Danielle fully honors her Divine gifts and unapologetically shares them *and* she also fully honors her humxnity and freely shares those parts of her. She doesn’t buy into any notions of needing to be perfect or good. She is her full-spectrum self. And for that (and so many other reasons), I adore her. This episode was special in that it really felt like a conversation between two womxn being themselves rather than two womxn recording a podcast. We can’t wait for you to hear it! In this episode, Danielle shares: What it means to choose live a life of honoring your Soul Why she believes people are so drawn to astrology Her interpretation of astrology (which is part poetic, part comedy show ;) What the North + South Nodes are and why they are essential information for you to know What the planet Saturn means and how it’s playing out for the collective right now Taking the ego out of finding your purpose How family systems and dynamics inform who we are We can’t wait for you to listen! Six years ago, Rebekah Borucki invited me to host a meditation series with her for her YouTube channel. I remember feeling so humbled and grateful that Bex would ask me - this 23-year-old who literally had nothing to offer her on a material level - to join her in this experience. Bex saw something inside of me that I had yet to claim inside of myself. And this is who Bex is - she relentlessly nurtures people she believes in. I remember us standing in her kitchen table eating crackers and she said, “I like you. I want to keep you in my circle.” At that time, when my entire world was falling apart behind-the-scenes, she had no idea how much that meant to me. The stability; the safety; that security of knowing that I belonged in her heart. Someone who barely knew me saw me. So...it came as no surprise to me when Bex shared that she’d be writing a book called Managing the Motherload. It is, in so many ways, a primary archetype that Bex embodies. The archetype of mother; nurturer; fierce protecter of humxnity. And this comes through so fiercely in this podcast. I hope this podcast serves as a nourishing, generate, fierce call to open your Heart wide and receive the wisdom and truth that pours through her. In this podcast, Bex speaks about: Why Managing the Motherload is truly for anyone on the spectrum of womxn who seeks to nurture, guide, and hold space Her complex relationship with her mother + why she feels she is healing for both of them through this work The urgency of these times for all of us - specifically for Black, Indigenous, and queer people How the illusion of separateness is killing us and the call to do our inner + outer work The challenging relationship with her publisher HayHouse + the initiative she helped spearhead to create change in the self-help industry The process, importance, and experience of death + cyclical living This episode is so special. Bex packs so much wisdom and humor (she always reminds me to bring that in) into this episode. We can’t wait for you to listen! It’s hard for me to not write a novel about people I love, and Madeline Giles is one of those people. I adore Madeline with my whole heart for so many reasons. I coached 1:1 with Madeline and went through her 2017 teacher training program for Angelic Breath Healing, which is the basis for all breathwork experiences I share today. Madeline was the first mentor / coach / teacher I experienced who wasn’t trying to make me be someone or something. She has always been someone who encouraged me to inquire within and to return to my own inner wisdom. The integrity and heart that she embodies and infuses into everything she does is so deeply felt. I was inspired by a dynamic, honest, fierce, heartfelt post she wrote on Instagram about what it means to honor your spiritual curriculum. I wanted to invite her to share, from her master’s degree in and embodiment of the teachings of spiritual psychology, what it means to do that - to live life according to your soul’s curriculum. It produced a rich, joyful, dynamic conversation that I'm proud and excited for you to receive. In this podcast, Madeline shares: What spiritual curriculum is + why we have it Why contrast + paradox are important and how they informs our soul’s curriculum The qualities of spirit that our soul could be here to learn The importance of anger and how it acts like a doorway in your life Her (and our!) love for Christ as an inner teacher and how that consciousness informs her life We can’t wait for you to listen! On July 18th, 2019, Asha Frost wrote a letter that, as she says, “has been in my bones and blood and cells for a very long time.” That letter, which Asha titled “Dear White Woman who wants to be like me,” was shared over 20,000 times by people around the world. When I asked Asha to be a part of season two of the Soul Sessions podcast, she told me that she wanted to discuss the after effects of writing this article, having it subsequently go viral, and having an influx of thousands of people flood into her private Facebook community. This episode is deep, intense, and ripe with healing. Here are a few of the topics we traverse: Why Asha wrote her viral letter “Dear white woman who want to be like me” How Asha handled over 2,000 new people joining her community in a very short amount of time + how she reclaimed that space The after-effects of sharing something so incredibly vulnerable + how she dealt with backlash as a sensitive soul How to hold space for someone who is sharing something so vulnerable Committing to the inner work of doing the work to dismantle our internalized white supremacy and racism How to tap into your unique medicine The essence of this episode commands your attention, in large part because we are holding a space for the topic of intergenerational and racial trauma. I invite you to join us in giving this episode the care and attention it requires. When discomfort, anger, rage sadness, or grief arises with you, do not turn away from it. Turn your being towards it. Feel it. Feel it all. Feeling these emotions up-and-out of us is part of our responsibility in healing ourselves and co-creating a world in which all people are truly free to be who they are. A couple of days ago, @andrearanaej asked me to record a testimonial video sharing my experience engaging with them and their work. One thing I shared in that testimonial video is something that my body shows me when I’m ready for change. When I first found Andréa and their work, I read their blog post Why the Self-Help Industry isn’t Changing the World (side note: read it - so amazing). There is one specific part of that blog post that ignited a tummy-drop and I started to get these intense butterflies in my stomach. And I knew that an identity-of-self was about to be challenged.I experience this frequently because I’m constantly being invited to change and transform. You relate?
Thank you for being here for season one. I am so excited to share season two with you soon. If you have any guest suggestions, send them to contact@heatherwaxman.com. xx
