In starting to think about what I want for my life going into the next year, one phrase that kept coming up was "radical execution." In this final episode of Season One, I talk about what that means, why I'm embracing it, and what that looks like for Mornings With God - both on Instagram and on this podcast. Check out this episode for some inspiration on how to finish this year strong and be better in 2022. Last week, I went to Paris to attend a European Missions Conference put on by my worldwide family of churches. So over the next few week, I'll be sharing some of the biggest lessons I took away from it. The first one was a call to recommit to the One that this is all about. I realized that I had been letting other things get in the way of living out my calling from God. So in this welcome back episode, I talk about the why and the how behind my choice to refocus on what really matters. Enjoy this episode and share it with someone you love! Research shows that one of the most common questions people ask is how to have a better prayer life with God. And so in this episode, we're breaking that down by looking at two examples of prayer in the Bible: Luke 11:1-4 and Nehemiah 1:4-11.If you want to be more confident and powerful in your prayers to God, this episode is a must-listen!Share it with someone you love!
I can struggle with my thoughts a lot. Especially when things around me are going on that I don't necessarily like or appreciate. The struggle! But I finally found something that gets me out of the cycle of negative thoughts. It literally works every time! So in this episode, I share my strategy and tell you exactly what to do. And the best thing is, God said it first! It's totally Biblical. Enjoy! In grace and gratitude, Chantelle
Many of our paths to God are rocky and mine is no exception. My life has changed so much in the last 8 years and I owe it all to seeking God. But I also know that when you see someone preaching on stage, or on a podcast in this case, it's hard to imagine them as anything but that. So in this episode, I'm sharing my story with you via a recording of a keynote I did at a women's faith conference in London. This isn't all of my story, but it's probably the most complete version I've ever shared in public at one time. My hope is that you'll be convinced that if I can overcome what I've been through, you can overcome what you've been through too - or maybe what you're going through now. I was blessed to partner with the AND Campaign, a Christian political organization, to teach this lesson the other day.Now let me be clear! I'm not the person to teach anyone about politics. Lol. But this episode is about how to rep Jesus in a way that makes God proud, no matter where we are, including the political sphere. Work is the key to getting what we want out of life. Not in a way where we're working for our worth, but working because of it. In this episode, we covered six spiritual principles that can help us work in a way that glorifies God and produces the rewards we want. Check it out and share it with someone who needs it! Motivated can be a feeling and sometimes we're just not feeling it! But that doesn't mean we sit and wait for it to randomly come back. Lol. Let's be honest. Relationships - no matter what kind they are - are both our biggest reward and our biggest struggle. The best and worst feelings come from relationships. There's no getting around it. This world is a dark place and desperately needs people who are willing to stand up and be the light. In this episode, I share a little bit of my personal testimony that has helped me relate to and give hope to people who have gone through the same things. We also discuss three practicals on living in the light of Jesus ourselves and shining that light on others who need it. Check out this episode and share it with someone you love! Today we're talking about faith! I've been challenged in a couple of areas of my life to have more faith. And so I'm passing that on to you! In this episode, we talk about what true faith looks like, the one thing that will stop God from doing miracles, and what feeling unstable means for your faith. Note: The discussion on instability is not referencing mental illness - nor is it meant to trivialize it - but I'm specifically talking about the relationship between faith and doubt. I loved this conversation and I pray you will to!
One of my strongest convictions is that God gave us our talents to use for Him. In this episode, we discuss why as we study out Matthew 25:14-30 together. Are we being trustworthy? Or are we being scared and lazy with our gifts? Cheers to being inspired to use everything we've been given for God!
Christian musician, Matthew West, set off a social media firestorm last week with his controversial music video, "Modest is Hottest." In the song, he encouraged his daughter to be "more Amish and less Kardashian." I'm sure you can see why many people had a problem with this. Lol.But as followers of God, it leads us to an important question. Is modesty important for us and if so, to what extent? In this broadcast, we answer that question by looking at the two different narratives presented by religion and culture - hint: they're both wrong. We dive deeply into our identity in God and our love for each other as children of God. And most importantly, we use Scriptures to back up everything. Check out this episode for a candid chat on what modesty really looks like for us as believers.
No one prepares you for grief. And honestly, no one can. But after this last year and a half, we are a world full of grieving people. Instead of trying to live like life is always great with social media pages to match, we need to talk about it. We need to relate where we can, and validate each others experiences so no one feels alone. In this episode, released on the heels of Father's Day, I talk about my experiences as a Daddy's Girl losing her Dad last year. Experiencing waves vs stages, what prayer and reading doesn't do, and three things in Scripture that have really helped me get through grief with God. Praying this helps and blesses you.
