In Christian meditation, we are re-aligning ourselves vertically. We're remapping our horizontal realities with a vertical view/perspective. Enabling us to embody that vertical perspective replaces anxiety and tension with a calm confidence. Isaiah 44:6 NIV “This is what the LORD says— Israel's King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God.” Revelation 1:17-18 NIV “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.” “The LORD” in our English Bibles is indicating that in Hebrew God's name, Yahweh, is used. Yahweh is the ancient Hebrew verb form for “HE IS.” God's name in the Hebrew scriptures is used more than any other term for God. More than “God” is used. When we survey the various truths associated with God's name, HE IS, in the Hebrew scriptures (what we call the Old Testament), four important aspects of God are emphasized. HE IS the Creator and Sustainer of ALL that exists, including this entire universe. HE IS the Giver and Sustainer of ALL life everywhere always. HE IS Eternally God. HE IS ALWAYS 100% present with you and focused on you in every present moment (without being any less present or focused anywhere else in the universe, because HE IS infinite). These four realities of what God's name means are easy to memorize, and so to remember them when you “Praise the LORD” will help you replace anxieties and self-protective guarding with a calm confidence and peace. Focus On God, Pray For Others And Lead Them To God 1 Samuel 12:23 - 24 23As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right. 24But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.
Have you ever seen another car driving near you start to drift off into another lane or even your lane? What was the first thing you thought (or maybe said out loud) about them? “Stop being distracted and drive, pay attention to what you're doing!” Something along those lines right… Have you ever been talking to your kids about something very important when you start to see their gaze shift to something else and their hands begin to fidget? What do you say to them next? “Can you please FOCUS on what I'm saying to you right now?!” Well, I feel like this has happened to me a lot in my life, especially about living healthy, trying to change lifestyle habits, or practicing listening to what God is saying… I just feel distracted. Can you relate? I tend to feel like I can't focus for long enough and I feel like there are too many other things happening around me or inside my brain to give something, even God, my full attention. Maybe you've felt this way too and realize what a hindrance it can be to creating the lasting lifestyle changes you want or truly going deeper in your relationship with God. Listen in on today's episode where I'm going to speak truth about some roots of distraction in our lives and how we can begin to change the way we think about living healthy and empowered! This week MaryAnn Teaches on the importance of focusing on god and everything else in your life will come from that.
If you wonder how to stop falling to the comparison trap, how to stop wondering what others will think about you or your decisions, and how to break free from fear of judgment, it all starts with getting your focus on the only One who can free you and lead you on a solid foundation of peace over anxiety.
Trust is a hard thing. It's difficult for some people to trust those closest to them, even without any fault to their name. I can see how it would feel even more difficult to trust a big God with control over everything. But it doesn't have to be difficult if we have a relationship with God & know He is trustworthy.Don't get me wrong, even people that KNOW God, know His character, and know He only wants to help us can struggle to trust Him in some areas of their lives. We get caught up in fear & worry that He doesn't know what we want, what we need & what WE think is best. But He does. He knows all these things & more that we don't know & can't know right now. I'm going to give you some tips on how to trust God with everything in your life, but before that, I want you to know WHY it's important to trust Him with everything.God Knows Everything & Has Perfect WisdomIsaiah 40:28, “Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding.”God is the Most Faithful 2 Timothy 2:13, “If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.”God Loves You the Most1 Peter 5:7, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”Here are my 4 tips on How to Trust God With Everything in Our Lives:Know Who God Is Know His character. Cultivate a relationship with Him. Understand how faithful He is, and how much He loves us.Psalm 9:10, “Those who know your names trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.”Reflect On His Faithfulness Remind yourself when He was there to protect you, to help you & to give you guidance & understanding. Even if you didn't attribute it to God back then but KNOW it WAS Him.2 Thessalonians 3:3, “But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.”Become More Patient In His Timing God plans things better than we ever could. He knows better than us.Ecclesiastes 3:11, “Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end.”Do What God & the Bible Tells You to Do Spend time in the Word to know all the things God wanted us to know & hold close to our hearts, then OBEY the principles & way of life it tells you to do.When God tells you to do something, despite how out of place it may sound to YOU, do it. Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”Support the showWatch the Video Version of RPG: https://www.youtube.com/@realpositivegirl/podcastsBuy the Planner on AMAZON!: https://amzn.to/3WwthT2Visit me on Instagram or TikTok: @sabrinajoyperozzoEmail Me: realpositivegirlpodcast@gmail.com
