Welcome to Episode 24 of Peace in my Pocket Meditation Podcast. I am Cheryne and thank you for listening. Today’s meditation is one of my favourite techniques to clear out nervousness or anxiety from my body. Anxiety can be debilitating. I know because I have lived with anxiety for a large part of my life. To treat anxiety we need to understand emotion. Emotion can be seen as Energy in Motion. Stressful or negative thoughts generate emotion in the body. If that emotion is not released through crying, expression or exercise then it gets stored in the body as energy. That energy we feel is what we label as anxiety or nervousness. It presents itself as symptoms such a feeling of restlessness, nervousness, fluttering of the heart or tightness in the belly. Of these are signs of trapped energy in the body. This meditation is a great technique to get into your body and find the energy that is trapped within causing anxiety symptoms. Welcome to Episode 21 Today’s meditation focuses on Energy Clearing. It is one of my favourite meditations and a powerful technique to ensure that you are clearing yourself from any energy you may be taking on. We are all energy beings. Our emotions can be seen as energy in motion. And every emotion omits a frequency or a vibration that we send out into the world around us. This includes both good vibes and negative vibes. When we take on negative energy we begin to feel drained. The mind feels clouded and we can experience feelings of anxiety or even depression. This can feel quite confronting and uncomfortable and it brings us down. It robs us of our personal power which then blocks us from being our full potential. Self love is a huge conversation and often brings up a lot of emotion for many people. So I really want to clarify what I mean when I speak about Self Love and help guide you towards this special space that exisits within each of us. When I speak of SELF LOVE I do not necessarily mean, loving yourself, when I mention self love I mean that the Essence of who you are and what makes up your self is LOVE. Self love is the opposite state to Ego. Where as Ego represents your fears and insecurities and comes from your mind, self love defines your authentic self which resides in the wisdom of your heart. So self love is about connecting to this warm and nurturing space within and when you feel connected to this powerful source of energy you feel calm, centred, balanced and empowered. This connection helps you move past the voice of self doubt and stress and takes you into your heart which will instantly relax your body, calm your mind and ignite your true essence and empowered self. For many years I suffered with anxiety and for many people, anxiety can be debilitating and rob us of being able to be present and in the moment as the constant inner chatter and inner restlessness disable us to focus and be grounded. This meditation helped me connect with my anxiety, but instead of attaching to it and becoming it, it enabled me to see it as an energy which I could work through and let go of. I actually love to do this meditation standing but it you can also do it sitting up or lying down, and if you have difficulty feeling it or visualising it, then just imagine the sensations in front of you. Welcome to Episode 12. This meditation is designed to help you re-energize yourself when you are feeling flat or deflated. You will notice that I reverse the usual body relaxation technique, to help you feel more grounded, centered and uplifted. I do recommend that you stand for this meditation, the best position is to stand in a kind of tree pose (Feet hip width apart, knees slightly bent, back straight and arms rounded in front of your body, as if you are hugging a tree). This pose allows you to get even more grounded and work with gravity to uplift your energy. You can also do this meditation in your favorite sitting or lying position as well and use your creative imagination. Welcome to Episode 11. In this two minute meditation I teach you a simple yet effective breathing technique you can do throughout your day to get instant calmness. And yes it just takes 2 minutes. In case you find it hard to follow the guided version, here is the counting for this technique: inhale for 4 counts,hold for 3 counts, exhale for 6 counts, and then hold for 2 counts and repeat 8 times(This will give you 2 minutes of breathing when you follow a 15 second cycle). You will be amazed how relaxed, refreshed and refocused you feel after only 2 minutes of breathing.
