While it's not wrong to have doubts about our salvation, there is a time to get past our doubts and fully surrender to God in faith. The religious leaders were mad that the Israelite people were believing in Jesus as the Messiah because it caused them to lose their position of authority to the people. When we love other people that are different, we show others that our love comes from God and it's Him who can unite us all. When we accept God's forgiveness and give ourselves to Him, He shines a light in us and cleans us up. The Bible teaches that there is both a physical and a spiritual death. Unless Jesus returns in our lifetime, we are all going to experience a physical death. Just as our words can be used to build others up and encourage them, they can also be used to destroy people's lives. The term “about face” means to turn around completely and go in the opposite direction. When Jesus died on the cross He made it possible for us to turn from the sinful life we'd been living and follow Him. We all experience suffering at different points in our lives, whether brought on by ourselves, others, or God Himself for the purpose of refining us. When Adam and Eve ate of the tree in the garden that God told them not to eat from, sin entered our world and brought spiritual death to all of us. God may be telling us to do something and we've been ignoring it for any amount of time. The devil is after destroying our lives, sometimes even to the point of contemplating suicide.
