This week, I have on a good friend of mine, who is a Comedian in Los Angeles area and has also done comedy in New York and many other clubs. Dan is my first reoccurring guest and for a good reason. He is very good at story telling and has had many life experiences that are very interesting to listen to. Dan has been in the LA for about 8 years and has a very good resume in show business. He does stand up comedy multiple times a week but also does Acting and theater work as well. His most recent work, he acted in Kim Kardashian's new TV show called "You Kiddin' Me." He has also opened for and worked with some of the best comedians in the industry. Check out Dan's instagram: @iamdanpena for all of his dates and future show announcements.
This week, I had the opportunity to speak with, one of the hottest artist out of Iowa. Jordan Burgett released "Pink Palace Nights" about a month ago and showed his talents brilliantly! I cant stress enough how good Jordan is with words and story telling. I was moved by his story and what made him who he is now. In my opinion, his story is truly an example of struggle creating greatness! After speaking with Jordan about his experiences in life, I realized what makes him such a good artist, is his way with words. When he describes his experiences, I could feel his energy and relate to his stories. . . I hope you guys enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed recording this episode and talking to Jordan. . . She also gave advice to young dancers and people pursuing their dreams!
This week, I had the opportunity to interview Scott Schebler, Cincinnati Reds Outfielder. We talked about his journey into becoming a Professional Athlete and what it took to get to the point where he is now. Scott also spoke on how his relationship with his dad helped him become the athlete and person he is now. From being a multi-sport athlete in high school and ultimately pursuing baseball in college at D.M.A.C.C. to being drafted in the 26th round by the Dodgers. After spending 3 years in the minor leagues, Scott had a breakout year in 2013 which landed him a spot on a stacked 40 man roster with the dodgers. (Utley, Ethier, Kemp, Kershaw) He was traded in 2015 to the Cincinnati Reds. We talked about the trade and how it has been a great move for his career. He gave an honest grade of his performance so far in 2018. I hope he gets healthy and continues to stay hot at the plate in 2018 and in the future. Thanks to Scott for taking time out of his busy schedule to sit down and talk about his journey.
