Czy w dzisiejszym świecie mamy obowiązek być idealni? Mieć usta, oczy i policzki prosto z katalogu? Dr. Michael Roizen, is a New York Times bestselling author and the co-founder of RealAge, a famous concept that centers around the idea that our bodies are a different age than our calendar age depending on our health. He is also a professor and chair of the Division of Anesthesia, Critical Care Medicine and Pain Management, and chief wellness officer of the Cleveland Clinic. Through developing the RealAge test, personalizing care for his patients, and working to improve stress in people’s lives, Dr. Roizen provides invaluable wisdom and expertise. I sat down with Mike to discuss his book, AgeProof: Living Longer Without Running Out of Money Or Breaking a Hip, and preventing age-related issues—or as he calls it being “ageproof”. Mike tells me stress is the biggest ager and what he recommends we do to manage it. We also discussed his thoughts on fats, dairy, sugar, and gluten, and the must-have supplements we are missing. With so many popular diets out there—intermittent fasting and the ketogenic diet, to name a few—it can be overwhelming to know what’s best for you. From personal experience and extensive research, Mike tells us how many hours we should be fasting and sleeping for the most benefits. He also shares the most underrated exercise that actually adds mass to your bones and could help you live a longer life. Whether you are young and healthy, looking to live your best life, or searching for ways to turn back your body’s clock, Mike’s abundance of knowledge and actionable advice will inspire you to live and age well. It’s time to get your money mindset intent on investing! On ProfitBoss Radio, I try to tackle the personal and cultural forces that are both pushing women forward and holding us back. Buzzing about in the media is the continuing conversation about women and wage parity. Are women making strides to even the wage gap? Are women investing and earning with the same confidence as men? I could think of no one better to tackle those questions than Jean Chatzky!    You might know Jean  as the Financial Editor from NBC’s “The Today Show.” She is also a respected finance journalist, host of the HerMoney podcast, and the author of nine books. Her most recent book, AgeProof, is just one point of conversation for us today. She has so much wisdom and expertise to share that would warrant several episodes of their own! I asked Jean how she does it all, from appearing on TV to writing countless articles and books, and she responded that it all comes down to mindset. Nothing fires Jean up like having conversations with people who feel empowered about their finances, and she has certainly brought her fire today!    Jean had a lot of surprising things to say about current cultural influences on finance. It turns out that Millennials are leading their elders financially through wage transparency and a willingness to invest. She also shared with me the common fears and misconceptions parents face when planning to pay for college debt-free. Jean managed it, and her honest perspective is refreshing and honest! We also talked all about the fears and misunderstandings that keep women from investing. If you might be in that camp today, I think you will gain a lot of wisdom from Jean’s perspective.    It is such a pleasure to have someone like Jean on the show. Her expertise is unmatched, and her compassion is beyond measure. The bottom line is that Jean genuinely loves to help others master their finances, free from fear. Whether you are looking to invest or to make the most of your savings, Jean has a little something for you today.    What You Will Learn In This Episode A day in the life of Jean Chatzky.  Jean’s perspective on the gender wage gap within the media and speaking industries.  Transparency with your earnings is key to women earning just as much as men.  The main blocks to women wanting to build wealth.  The younger generation is leading the way with transparency in earnings and participation in investment opportunities.  We can successfully navigate the fluctuations of the market by changing our long-term v. short-term view of the market.  Jean’s advice—put down the phone!  How to order your financial priorities at different stages of life.  Wrestling with saving for college v. saving for retirement.  Untapped financial resources for parents looking to fund college.  The story behind AgeProof.  Put some things on autopilot, prep ahead, and you’ll save so much time and money!  Jean’s mindset secrets for success.  How HerMoney can continue this episode’s conversation weekly.    Featured On The Show  Profit Boss Live www.profitbosslive.com   HerMoney Podcast: https://www.jeanchatzky.com/podcast/   AgeProof by Jean Chatzky

Have you ever considered the link between health and wealth that could add years to your life and dollars (or pounds) to your retirement savings? My guest on the podcast today is co-author of a new book that aims to get us all talking about this vital link. Jean Chatzky is a leading personal expert in the US. She's the long-time financial editor for NBC’s TODAY show, an award-winning personal finance journalist, a best-selling author and host of HerMoney with Jean Chatzky - a podcast for women, by women, about money. Jean believes knowing how to manage our money is one of the most important life skills for people at every age and she's made it her mission to help simplify money matters, increasing financial literacy both now and for the future. Her new book, co-authored with the Cleveland Clinic's chief wellness officer Dr. Michael Roizen, is AgeProof: Living Longer Without Running Out of Money or Breaking a Hip. All the money in the world doesn't mean a thing if we can't get out of bed. And the healthiest body in the world won't stay that way if we're frazzled about five figures worth of debt. You can find the show notes for this episode at icradio.co.uk/264. There's useful links and you can also download the full episode transcript. Here's my conversation with Jean Chatzky, TODAY Show financial editor and author of AgeProof, in episode 264 of Informed Choice Radio.

Jean Chatzky, financial editor of NBC's Today show, discusses her new book “AgeProof” about balancing your health and your wealth.  She shares some habits that can help you thrive, both financially and physically. Teamwork: Working with a partner can help you meet your financial goals and your health goals.  A running partner will motivate you to get out even when you don't feel like it.  Find a money partner to help you meet your financial goals. Automation: We know that saving money works best is when we put it on automatic pilot.  Do the same thing with your health!  Schedule your workouts.  Have two or three healthy, simple meals that you can just grab out of the refrigerator without thinking. Substitution: Small tweaks can turn bad habits into good habits.  We've all heard that you should swap out home-brewed coffee for expensive coffee shop habits.  How can you do the same thing with your health?  Rather than convincing yourself to quit a bad habit, figure out how you can adjust it.
