She is also the founder of 'An Empowered You' an annual sneaker ball with one mission in mind to empower and motivate others to reach their full potential in life. Her strength lies in being able to bring together some of the finest in the industry. When she is not developing brands, motivating others, or writing her first book, she is a single mother to her three daughters, Samyra, Jazlynn, and Leilani. Her heart lies in helping others and being part of as many community outreach events as possible. When you ask her where do you see yourself over the course of the next few years her response is simple “ I want to travel the world and make an impact on at least one person in every state and country.” In this episode Randa shares with us about her time growing up in New York, becoming a mom, changing career paths and finding her way in entrepreneurship. Sarah Akiba is an entrepreneur and philanthropist who was born in Paris, France to immigrant parents. From the early age of 15, she began her career in fashion, which later lead her to styling celebrities like Dascha Polanco, YesJulz, as well as Young Thug and Lil Uzi Vert’s music video “Up”. By 19, she had already created her own clothing brand and had found her niche in entrepreneurship. Unfortunately, shortly after her 21st birthday her life completely changed with the death of her father. In this episode, Sarah shares intimate details about this turning point in her life and how it catapulted her into creating her lifestyle brand and non-profit organization ‘Angel Watching Over Me’.  As an homage to her dad, AWOM serves as a support system for those who have lost a loved one with counseling services lead by on staff therapist. Sarah has also created a girls club for middle school girls, where she aids them with self-love, self-esteem, confidence and support. In addition, she is the creator of AWOM Club a hip and stylish ready-to-wear clothing line as well as her most recent project AWOM LAB.
