Shohana SharminDeath isn't scary to Shohana. She faced her mum's passing by starting a podcast about grief (Finders Grievers) and an on-stage comedy revue "Dead Parents Society". She is resilient, she is brave and she is a brilliantly witty queer Muslim woman of colour who talks openly and with words of wisdom about her mum's passing six years ago. More about ShohanaShohana Sharmin is a Bangladeshi-Canadian emerging comedian, writer and theatre artist. Born and raised in Bangladesh, Shohana is a proud Muslim queer woman of colour. She is a recipient of the 2020 Queer Emerging Artist Award at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. Shohana is the creator and a cast member of the critically acclaimed award-winning dark sketch comedy revue "Dead Parents Society." She is an alumna of Buddies in Bad Times theatre's 2019 Emerging Creators Unit (under the mentorship of Catherine Hernandez of b current), Nightwood Theatre's 2019 Young Innovators program, and b current Theatre's 2019 bcHub Emerging Artists cohort. Shohana presented her first solo show "Come Here Often?" (directed by Akosua Amo-Adem) as part of 2019 Queer Pride at Buddies in Bad Times theatre. Her written works have been published in several publications. She is a former Featured Player at the Bad Dog Comedy Theatre, and an alumna of the Second City's Improv and Longform Conservatories. She has performed in comedy and theatre festivals across North America. In non-pandemic times, she can regularly be seen performing across Toronto with her award-winning troupe Not Oasis (2017 The Toronto Fringe Patrons Pick, NOW Critic's Pick). Antony Hall joins Jimmer Lowe for an Episode of Q'd Up. Antony is a Toronto based improviser/actor who originally hails for Lethbridge, Alberta. He is a graduate of The Second City Conservatory and Theatre Arts Program at MacEwan University. He can be seen performing with a number of improv teams in the city which include (Gentleman Frog and Darth Vader Ginsburg). You may also see him from time to time as his comedy rap persona Young Riesling when he appears as part of the hip hop duo Whyte Wyne and Young Riesling or the comedy rap collective NOTORIOUS. Antony was a part of the 2019 Featured Players Residency at Toronto’s Bad Dog Comedy Theatre. He is the Co-Creator of Ming’s Dynasty, a Canadian Comedy Digital Series on CBC Gem in Canada. Ming’s will be released to FuseTV and FICTO in the United States in the coming months.

Martha Chaves Nicaraguan born, Martha began her life in Canada as a refugee, but is now thriving in Canadian Show business. She’s a seasoned comedian with 20 years of experience and has performed at Just For Laughs multiple times, as well as all the other major comedy festivals in Canada. She also received 2018 Best Stand-up Comic in Canada at the the Canadian Comedy Awards. She's a regular on CBC Radio's LOL, part of the cast of Because News, and The Debaters. Entertained Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the Egale Identity Gala, which she emceed.  Nelu Handa is an actor, comedian and writer based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Trained extensively in Improv comedy, she is a graduate of The Second City Conservatory program, a Bob Curry Fellow, and has studied at Bad Dog Comedy Theatre and Upright Citizens Brigade. Nelu has performed on a variety of TV shows, including “Workin Moms”, “The Beaverton”, She’s a writer and performer on Baroness Von Sketch Show (CBC/IFC), and the upcoming series Jann. Nelu is the creator, producer, and host of YAS KWEEN, a groundbreaking monthly night of comedy that showcases ethnic women. It's the first Thursday of every month.  Hoodo Hersi is a Somali-Canadian comedian based in Toronto, but has performed her comedy across the US and Canada. She studied improv at Second City. She was recently featured on The Comedy Network's Homegrown Comics. He's a multiple BDA/Promax advertising award-winner for his work as an on-air promo writer and producer.
