1 hour of Meditation Music for Focus, Relaxation and Stress Relief With everything happening in the world right now—crazy news, endless notifications, and that email you're avoiding—it's no wonder your brain feels like it's buffering. Sometimes, you've just got to sit back, chill, and pretend you're on a remote island (or at least in a slightly less chaotic corner of your house). Lucky for you, this video is the perfect soundtrack for zoning out or zoning in, depending on your vibe. This is one hour of pure relaxation goodness. Need to focus? This music has your back. Want to meditate? This will help you find your Zen—no yoga mat required. Experts say pretty music and relaxing images of nature are good for you, and guess what? They're right. Studies show that calming sounds and serene visuals can help lower stress, boost focus, and even make you feel like you're not one meeting away from losing it. So, grab a cup of tea, light a candle, or just watch and/or listen to the video (it's called mindfulness). Whatever you do, this video is better than hiding under the covers or rage-scrolling through social media. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and share the chill vibes with someone who seriously needs it—like, right now. Enjoy! If you want to see the beautiful video that goes with this track, check it out and chill. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZsNgMJLg6M Judy Croon is Canada's Keynote Humorist, Tedx motivational speaker, comedian and stand-up coach at Second City. Hi there, I'm Judy Croon, Canada's Keynote Humourist. Welcome to another episode of Laugh Long and Prosper. Today, I'm reviewing a great book called, ' A Whole New Mind. Why Right Brainers will Rule The Future' by Daniel H. Pink. Daniel H. Pink is an American author who has written numerous New York Times bestsellers including: Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us; The Power of Regret: How Looking Back Moves Us Forward; When: The Scientific Secrets of Perfect Timing and his latest bestseller, A Whole New Mind - Why Right Brainers Will Rule The World. In A Whole New Mind - Why Right Brainers Will Rule The World, Pink says that people and companies that want to succeed in the future have to ask three very important questions: 1. Can someone overseas do my job cheaper? 2. Can a computer do my job faster? 3. Is what I'm offering in demand in an age of abundance, where people are looking to satisfy their aesthetic, emotional, and spiritual demands? Pink stresses that as artificial intelligence potentially threatens many jobs around the world, artistic and creative skills are becoming even more essential. Pink suggests that this is the perfect time to lean into the right, bright creative side of the brain; a side that often gets overlooked by the left logical, analytical side. In doing so, Pink highlights six areas where the right brain excels. Join Oliver as he chills with author and former television personality Morgan O. Smith! You may recognize him as 'Mista Mo', one half of the Gemini award-winning comedic duo behind The Comedy Network's 'Buzz'. Since that show's ending in the mid-aughts, Morgan has shifted his focus to a life of growth and enlightenment. In addition to his frequent non-profit work with communities and youth, Morgan has also developed a fascinating meditative process that utilizes binaural beats and brainwave entrainment to reach higher levels of consciousness, clarity and inner peace. He's dubbed this practice 'Yinnergy' and describes it in detail within the pages of his new book 'Bodhi In The Brain'. Things kick off with Morgan talking about his roots in comedy, leading to chat about what is was like co-starring on a television show for so many years (alongside his collaborator and friend Daryn Jones). Oliver then learns about the complete pivot in Mo's life and some of the psychedelic awakenings that lead to those drastic changes. Morgan shares a wealth of knowledge about nondualism, while also recounting many incredible experiences he's had that have changed the way he perceives reality completely. In this episode I am once again joined by Morgan O Smith, teacher of non-duality, and under the stage name ‘Mista Mo', was a stand-up comedian and host of the Gemini award winning television show ‘Buzz'. In this episode Morgan reflects on his creative journey and its clash with his spiritual awakenings. Morgan recounts his childhood creative impulses and traces his career from his first time on stage to national success. Morgan contemplates the pros and cons of fame and reveals the inner workings of TV marketing requirements. Morgan discusses the surprising engine of his creative process, how to make art from pain and socio-political strife, and why his spiritual awakenings disrupted his creative urge. Morgan explains how the urge to serve the community replaced the need for artistic success, how his friends and fans reacted to his change of direction, and how an immersion into sacred mathematics birthed the creation of his Yinnergy audio meditation program. … Video version: https://www.guruviking.com/podcast/ep195-enlightened-comedian-morgan-o-smith-2 Also available on Youtube, iTunes, & Spotify – search ‘Guru Viking Podcast'. … Topics include: 00:00 - Intro 01:12 - Childhood fasciations 04:08 - Early creative impulses in music, art, and fashion 13:06 - Getting a recording contract in Rap and Hip Hop 15:04 - Discovering stand-up comedy 16:07 - Coming up with the name ‘Mista Mo' 17:15 - First spot as a stand-up comedian 18:13 - Following Howie Mandel 19:09 - Honing the craft 20:03 - Support from Dave Chapelle 21:47 - Music activities 22:21 - Getting picked up by the Comedy Network 24:10 - Developing an original voice as a comedian 30:27 - Comedy from inner darkness and authenticity 32:22 - Run in with Russell Peters 33:27 - Making comedy from pain and racism 36:52 - The consequences of making art from darkness and pain 39:34 - Making comedy from taboo subjects and current events 45:18 - Struggles with fame 51:58 - Collaboration with Daryn Jones 55:09 - Financial ups and downs of the creative life 58:33 - ‘You're here to sell soap' 01:01:05 - Meditation interrupting the creative drive 01:05:24 - 3-day lucid dreaming experience 01:08:04 - Personality and motivation changes from meditation 01:11:14 - Desire to work in non-profit and work in the community 01:14:01 - Loss and rediscovery of creativity after awakening 01:17:19 - Criticisms from others for pursuing meditation 01:20:20 - A life-changing interaction with a fan 01:25:04 - Realisation of turiya 01:27:02 - Sacred mathematics and creating Yinnergy meditation program 01:39:58 - Psychedelics and channeled information 01:49:17 - Microdosing 01:50:33 - Developing Yinnergy further 01:53:52 - Ayahuasca 01:58:16 - Realising non-duality 02:02:56 - Kundalini awakening 02:06:30 - Final awakening, beyond non-duality 02:24:30 - Advice for creative people and spirituality … Previous episode with Morgan O Smith: - www.guruviking.com/podcast/ep176-the-awakening-of-mista-mo To find out more about Morgan O Smith, visit: - https://www.instagram.com/morgano.smith/ - https://linktr.ee/morganosmith For more interviews, videos, and more visit: - www.guruviking.com Music ‘Deva Dasi' by Steve James

I interview Tim Williams, composer of the soundtrack for the movie Pearl. (Oct 11, 2022) Here's the press release from his publicist: (September 15, 2022 – Los Angeles, CA) – Today, A24 Music released the single “Pearl Main Titles” from the Pearl Original Motion Picture Soundtrack with music by Tyler Bates & Timothy Williams, listen here. The full 19-track album will be available September 23 on major digital platforms. With only six weeks to assemble a 68-person orchestra, Bates brought in frequent collaborator Timothy Williams, who worked with the composer on Guardians of the Galaxy, to help him audition musicians, build the orchestra, rehearse over four days in Nashville, and record the score. “In the style of mid-century melodramas,” says West, “Tyler Bates fashioned a sweeping, shrieking, strings-based score that lets the viewer know from the opening credits that Pearl will not be a subdued or quiet film. I said to him, ‘let's do a romantic, melodramatic, old-school score for this movie.'” He continues, “This wasn't the first time I've used live instruments on a movie—but it was the first time I had a full orchestra. It was awesome. Tyler and Tim really hit it out of the park. The score is very much one of the film's central characters, and that was important." “Ti expressed the musical approach to this film with us before filming,” says Bates & Williams. “We knew that the music would be based in an "Old Hollywood" approach, which stylistically is something we both love to do. This was a rare opportunity to write a lyrical score where the main theme permeates the music throughout the myriad emotional and psychological dynamics from beginning to end.” ABOUT TIM Timothy Williams is a multi-award-winning composer best known for his work on Pearl, Finding You, Brightburn, and Get Out! Williams' films includes A24's Pearl, co-scored with Tyler Bates, Gravitas' The Swearing Jar, Roadside Attractions' Finding You, Screen Gems' Brightburn, directed by David Yarovesky, We Summon The Darkness, directed by Marc Meyers, which won best score award at ScreamfestLA; Wild Horses, directed by Robert Duvall; I.T., directed by John Moore, and Red Sky, for which Tim Williams was nominated Best Composer by Motion Picture Sound Editors and best score at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. Williams has written additional music for the Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winner Get Out!, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, Hobbs and Shaw, Deadpool 2, 300, Watchmen, Super, Sucker Punch, and The Spy Who Dumped Me. Television work includes co-scoring AMC/Shudder Creepshow with Tyler Bates, Disney Junior's Piney, the Fox pilot Richard Lovely, and additional music on Fox's The Exorcist (S2), ABC's Missing and Comedy Network's Sym-Bionic Titan. A graduate of the National Film and Television School, Williams has received two Motion Picture SE Golden Reel Award nominations (Red Sky), four Thea Award wins, 10 ASCAP Plus Awards and won best score at the 24FPS Festival (Butterfly Circus), best score at ScreamfestLA 2019 (We Summon The Darkness) and best soundtrack nomination at the HMMA Awards (Red Sky). Tim has had multiple soundtracks released by Milan Records, Lakeshore Records, Varèse Sarabande and MovieScore Media.
Studio Soundtracks takes listeners behind the scenes of how music is crafted for film and television by hearing directly from composers, songwriters and music professionals in the Entertainment Industry. Listen to inspiring conversations about composition and hear works from Emmy, Grammy, and Oscar-winning film scores on the show. COLIN STETSON Colin Stetson was born and raised in Ann Arbor, spent a decade in San Francisco and Brooklyn honing his formidable talents as a horn player, eventually settling in Montreal in 2007. Over the years he has worked extensively, live and in studio, with a wide range of bands and musicians including Tom Waits, Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, TV On The Radio, Feist, Laurie Anderson, Lou Reed, Bill Laswell, Evan Parker, The Chemical Brothers, Animal Collective, Hamid Drake, LCD Soundsystem, The National, Angelique Kidjo, Fink, and David Gilmore. Meanwhile he has developed an utterly unique voice as a soloist, principally on saxophones and clarinets, his intense technical prowess matched by his exhilarating and emotionally gripping skills as a songwriter. Stetson's astounding physical engagement with his instruments (chiefly bass and alto saxophones) produces emotionally rich and polyphonic compositions that transcend expectations of what solo horn playing can sound like. Stemming from that approach and aesthetic, he has been contributing regularly to the world of film, TV, and game scoring over the past decade with such titles as Hereditary (2018), The First (2018), Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018), Color Out of Space (2019), Barkskins (2020), Mayday (2021), Among The Stars (2021), Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022), The Menu (2022), and Uzumaki (2023). The Best of The Den is a best of some of the first episodes recorded at the "The People of Comedy" studio with the great James Webb who is moving on to bigger and better things in the Big Apple. We have Abi Sanchez talking throwing up, Julia Stoyanova being a Bulgarian fish out of water and Dale McPeek talking William Hung and me getting molested for beans in Mexico. Rebekah Gibson learns about Reggaeton, Aaron Putnam relapses and shits his pants and I record with Eric Pennell after crashing my car with a Polack. Ed Towns puts zooms comics in there place, JIm Flannigan likes to gamble, Calvin Evans can't use drinking as an excuse for his bad behavior and Tito finishes it off with spooky bithches. Red Alert! All Hands on Deck! We have our first comedian!!!! This has been something I have been desperately wanting since way before anyone even knew I was starting a podcast. And what a comedian it is, Lars Callieou is a local Edmonton Comedian that has been in the game since the early 2000's, he has appeared at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montréal, has a 1-Hour Comedy Special currently airing on The Comedy Network and has been overseas to entertain the troops 5 times. He can be heard on CBC's Laugh Out Loud, The Debaters and on Sirius/XM. He's one of only four Canadians in history to make the Finals of both the San Francisco AND Seattle International Comedy Competitions. I have dreamed of being able to talk comedy with an actual comedian for years and Lars was so generous and indulged me at every turn with the type of genuine and thoughtful answers that were better than I could have even hoped for! Lars is one of the hardest workers I have ever met while also managing to always be there to help anyone willing to put in the work. This combination is something I find absolutely inspiring and hope to emulate myself. Please follow lars at @extralars and contact him to entertain at any functions either in person or online, you would be hard pressed to find a more dependable and hilarious guy! And to top it all off he is a huge Oilers fan! Here's to hoping this wasn't all just a fever dream!
