It is Friday on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show Podcast. The biggest headline of yesterday was that former US President, Donald Trump was booked, fingerprinted and had his mugshot taken at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, GA. Trump was released soon after on a $200,000 bond. This is white privilege at its finest. The RSMS Crew got on Gary because he ran out of tea. Gary was made fun of by the crew for saying a few stories that Rock T and Da Brat have already reported. Today in Mind, Body and Business, Maria talks about the importance of hobbies in your life. There were rumors that Lloyd and Coko were a couple, which are not true. Lloyd is dating someone, but it is not Coko from SWV. Political correspondent Warren Balentine joined The RSMS Crew about Donald Trump turning himself in to the Fulton County jail in Atlanta, GA. Singer October London also joined The RSMS Crew to talk about his new music. He is being compared to some of the R&B greats and he is talking to Rickey Smiley and the rest of the crew about his number one song. AND MUCH MORE FUNNY!!!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

B. Cox is joined by NaturallyAlise and JR of the R&B Representers to review SWV's debut classic album It's About Time as it turns 30. The crew is also joined with a very special guest appearance by Brian Alexander Morgan, one of the album's principal producers and co-writers.As R&B continued its evolution in the early 90s, the trio from NYC burst onto the scene with a jam packed album of hits and a long list of singles that would keep their album in the public consciousness for years until their next effort. Formed by Cheryl "Coko" Gamble, Tamara "Taj" George (nee Johnson) and Leanne "LeeLee" Lyons, the group started in gospel, but soon transitioned to R&B.The majority of the album was primarily produced and co-written by singer and producer Morgan. It also featured production from Genard Parker, Michael Brown, Saphreem King and Donald "Dee" Bowden. It's legendary run included seven singles, including the #1 R&B ballad "Weak", top R&B hit "I'm So Into You", "Right Here", "Downtown", "Anything" and the Morgan vocally-assisted "You're Always On My Mind".The album was certified triple platinum and has been considered a staple of the greatness of 90s R&B music. SWV would go on to release many albums and reunited to tour after taking long hiatus in new millennium, having influenced a great deal of their contemporaries and successors with the sound of their debut effort.Catch Alise and JR of the R&B Representers!Web: www.rnbreps.comTwitter: https://twitter.com/rnbrepsIG: https://www.instagram.com/rnbrepsYoutube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/RBRepresentersVisit The Vault Classic Music Reviews Onlinewww.vaultclassicpod.comSupport The Vault Classic Music Review on Buy Me A Coffeehttps://www.buymeacoffee.com/vaultclassicpodShow NotesAlbumism: SWV's Debut Album "It's About Time" Turns 30 | Anniversary Retrospectivehttps://albumism.com/features/swv-debut-album-its-about-time-album-anniversaryEssence: An SWV Biopic Is In The Workshttps://www.essence.com/entertainment/swv-biopic-movie/UrbanBridgez: UB Celebrates 30 Years of SMV's "It's About Time"https://urbanbridgez.com/2022/10/27/ub-celebrates-30th-anniversary-of-swvs-its-about-time/Sterogum: The Number Ones- SWV "Weak"https://www.stereogum.com/2174931/the-number-ones-swvs-weak/columns/the-number-ones/Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-vault-classic-music-reviews-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

LeAnne “Lelee” Lyons is a Bronx, NY native who currently resides in Atlanta, Ga. As a young girl, and mother of two by the age of 17, Lelee was determined to change the way people looked at her. Feeling like a failure and disappointment to her mother, “I wanted to do something in my life that would make everybody forget about my failures", Lelee said—and that she did. Website: https://leleelyons.com/"I Regret The Day I Lost My Virginity..." EBOOK - https://leleelyons.com/products/i-regret-the-day-i-lost-my-virginityIG: @therealleleeswv In 1992, Lelee became the visionary behind the 3x platinum, Grammy-nominated supergroup we know today as Sisters With Voices (SWV). Along with her group members, Cheryl “Coko” Gamble, and Tamara “Taj” George, the trio went on to sell almost 30 million records to date, with songs like: "Weak", "Right Here", and "I'm So Into You" just to name a few. But, with all the accomplishments, notoriety, and monetary blessings achieved in the entertainment industry, Lelee still felt empty and unfulfilled. After realizing the real blessing would be in blessing others through her life experiences and pain, Lelee would dedicate her life bringing awareness to “Teen Pregnancy Prevention”, “Domestic Violence”, and Child Sexual Abuse—all of which she experienced as a young girl. "Music literally saved my life", Lelee says. #LeleeLyons #SWV #SistersWithVoices Halftime Chat is hosted by Mental Health Psychotherapist Nnamdi E.S. Okoye. This 2 hour episode starts off with a few real hip hop tracks from Buckshot LeFonque, Smith-N-Wesson, Gangstarr, Nas and AZ including a remix from The Luniz "I Got 5 On It". Then it goes into smooth RnB from Toni Tone Tony, Eric Roberson, Vivian Green and Coko (from SWV). From there the RnB gets a little heavier with Aaron Hall featuring Redman and the "Cheatin" song by Dwele. I break it up with few classic hip hop songs from the Fearless Four and Davy DMX. Then I surprise you with the highly sampled "Nautilis" from Bob James and "Hater Day" from Canton Jones! After those musical treats we pick up the tempo with songs from Jon B, R.Kelly, Busta Rhymes, Michael Jackson, Ne-Yo, Mary J Blige and a few deep soulful house joints to close out the set. The very last song is a rugged hip hop instrumental to cool down with produced by me - RBOondatrack! BOOKINGS, BRAND PARTNERSHIPS, PRODUCTION INQUIRIES: thedjrobboshow@gmail.com
