Rachel is a fitness and nutrition coach who specializes in empowering and motivating people to make legitimate wellness changes, rather than steering them in the direction of the newest pill or fad diet. She founded MindStrong Fitness to empower women to make sustainable and healthy lifestyle choices that are not only manageable and maintainable but will make people feel empowered and unstoppable. She is the author of the recent, best-selling book Becoming Mindstrong: The Truth About Health, Fitness, and the Bullsh*t That’s Holding You Back in which she uses her personal experiences and journey to guide people through achieving nutrition success. Before Rachel became a true health and wellness goddess, she was working as an amazing middle school music teacher and was actually one of my students!⁣ ⁣ Rachel and I will delve into her own journey in the fitness world and the greatest health myths perpetrated by the unhealthy fitness sphere. We will look at some amazing passages from Rachel’s book and the benefits of adopting the powerful outlooks on life that she writes about. Too often, people rely too heavily on their own willpower and motivation, rather than examining their quintessential bodily needs. Nutrition is a learned skill, so rather than waiting for immediate change and continuously starting diets that never work, learn the skills needed to leave you feeling healthy, powerful, and committed to your goals.⁣ ⁣ Key Topics⁣ ⁣ -Relying on motivation and willpower is bullsh*t⁣ -Fitness, like any goal or dream, is a process. One mistake does not mean you should give up⁣ -Your body doesn’t lie, but your mind will screw you over⁣ -Breathing exercise to find your basic bodily needs⁣ -Forgetting reliance on ‘massive life overhauls’⁣ -Diets do not work, it is not you, it’s the system⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Links⁣ ⁣ Website: https://www.mindstrongfitnesscoaching.com/home⁣ ⁣ Rachel’s Book: https://www.amazon.com/Becoming-MindStrong-Health-Fitness-Holding-ebook/dp/B08MVC954W⁣ ⁣ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rachel.slotnick.9⁣ ⁣ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/getmindstrong/?hl=en⁣ ⁣ Twitter: https://twitter.com/mindstrongf

This episode of TickyOff features food writer and cookbook author Rachel Roddy Zooming in from Rome. Rachel has just had her first restaurant meal post-lockdown, explains all about a pet tortoise called Secret Agent and seemingly suggests that all Romans ever eat is tongue. Rachel also describes growing up in her Grandmother's pub, a delightful town in Sicily famous for its oil refinery and discusses the similarities between Roman and British cuisine. Before Rachel roams in from Rome, James has visited yet another weird woodland with his kids, bought a load of cheap Budweiser and coughed in a shop. Which people loved. Sam meanwhile has visited a post office and learned from Barbara Cartland that he really should start eating honey. There's also time for great beer-based scenes in movies, a briefly fashionable blue cheese and Rachel pretty much trolls The TickyOff Two by bringing up Magpie. Today’s guest, Rachel Miller of Moolah Marketing, had sat next to Micah on an airplane 18 months ago as a complete stranger. Little did she know the advice she’d get on that flight would be just what she needed to hear to finally get the first version of her membership site launched. At the time she didn’t have an email list, she wasn’t well known and had been holding herself back from launching her own program with a few common mindset hurdles that people often have when it comes to launching a membership site. Rachel’s true strength was she’s really a certified expert at what she does. She had always wanted to share her expertise with others, but had never taken the steps needed to actually put that knowledge into a course. After that flight she really put Micah’s advice into action and launched the first version of her program called Moolah shortly after. About two years later, is now an incredibly successful membership program with roughly 500 paying members and thousands of past students that have gone through the course. Throughout this episode, Rachel shares how she went about launching the first version of her membership program after that flight and some of the biggest lessons she learned along the way. Listen to the full episode to find out how you can apply some of the same strategies to launching your own membership site or online course, completely from scratch... You’ll also be able to find out what magic advice Micah had given her on the plane. As a hint, it has something to do with notecards ;) What advice did Micah give Rachel and how can you you go through the same planning exercise? To go through the same exact planning exercise at home you check it out here: This episode has tons of helpful advice for any coach or expert who’s been thinking about starting an online course or membership site but has no idea how to get started. Before Rachel had started Moolah, she had created multiple Facebook fan pages with huge followings, we’re talking pages with over a few hundred thousand or million+ likes. Through her program Moolah, she teaches others how to build huge Facebook followings with raving fans the same way that she does for her clients. It's probably about time that I confess to you all that this podcast gig is just as much for me as it is for you. It's the best excuse ever to connect with people I've been dying to connect with anyway - and we just happen to record our great conversations and everybody wins. That's what today's interview felt like with Rachel Rodgers, a woman I respect a ton and appreciate as a badass mom, wife, and business woman in the world. Plus, she is LOUD and hilarious. This interview is fun and rebellious. We talk about bucking traditions, making your own rules, innovating in life and business, and how to spot what your kids are passionate about and encourage them to nurture those things. A quick warning, Rachel might be louder than I am so enjoy listening, and you might want to turn the volume down to start ;) About Rachel Rodgers: Rachel is a business lawyer turned business coach, intellectual property strategist, creator of Small Business Bodyguard and all around badass. Before Rachel was showing service business owners how to build powerful products, she was running a very non-traditional law firm that disrupted the legal industry by making it surprisingly easy (and damn fun) for innovative companies to work with experienced attorneys and get the legal help they need to do the crazy stuff they want to do. In 2013, she created the Small Business Bodyguard: Cover Your Bases, Cover Your Assets, Cover Your Ass. This game-changing legal resource has been called “fun and engaging” by New York Times bestselling author Chris Brogan and a “graduate-level course on how to build a strong foundation for your business” by CEO of OurDeal, Kyle Durand. Rachel is known for being an innovator and master of productizing services and creating high-quality, high profit products. SBB and the other legal kits she’s created have been transformative, generating over half a million dollars in revenue in just two years and serving 1,700 small businesses around the country. Rachel has spoken on the subject of creating products, building solid service businesses and intellectual property in numerous venues including a class on CreativeLive, to MBA students at MIT and at various conferences including, InfusionCon. Rachel received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York and her “MBA” the hard way, by building various successful ventures over the last 5+ years and learning from the best business minds out there. Before becoming an entrepreneur Rachel worked for various state and federal judges, a high-impact non-profit and Hillary Rodham Clinton. When Rachel isn’t taking care of clients or creating new products, she enjoys baking in the kitchen (barefoot, with rosé in hand), lifting weights, juicing (the green kind, not the steroid kind), reading to her toddlers, being a “dance mom” and going on new adventures with her family (her favorite destination being France, of course!). In this episode, Rachel shares: 1. How to actually do it all (and not hate your life) 2. Evolving your relationship to money 3. Being who you are no matter what
