Sermon #336 What does "Saved" worship look like? It looks like this scene from Revelation chapter 7 where those who defended the Gospel with their lives spend day and night before the throne of God worshipping Him for all He has done. We who are saved recognize that it is not by our merit that we have been saved, but by the grace of God. For that reason we commit our lives to the one who gave His life for us. Sermon #335 After the cross, after the empty tomb, what have we got to celebrate? On this second Sunday of Easter we look at the continuation of the story in the building of the Christian church in the First century. Peter and the disciples are told by the Jewish authorities that they must not teach in "that" name (the name of Jesus Christ). Even today, the name of Jesus Christ is an offense to those who do not believe. But when the good news is so good, how can we but proclaim it boldly? When God offers us eternal life in Jesus' name, how can we but share it with everyone we know? Acts 5:27-32 Recorded at Ebenezer UMC on April 28 2019 (Originally published May 1, 2019) Watch on YouTube S.D.G.

Everybody will have a moment of truth: do I quit or keep going?
Easter 2019 (John 9) by CBC of Savannah
God can roll away immoveable stones of darkness, judgment and even death.Two-thousand years ago, a few grieving women made their way to a rock-carved grave only to find a stone rolled and a grave emptied. What they couldn't have know is that they were the ones witnessing God's redemptive plan reaching its crescendo. Nothing is ever going to be the same. A stone moved, a rock to build a different kind of life. God's hope, goodness, love and grace unleashed on the world in a way that hadn't been experienced. And it hasn't stopped. Join us at Journey as we mark and remember the story of Easter—a story that changed everything, a story that continues to change everything.
Somebody might have spoken something over you but the cross has the final word. We might be a crumpled up mess but Jesus can make that mess into a message. […]
Dr. Kurt Bjorklund looks at several "If... Then" statements about the resurrection and about how the scriptures show us the impact that it had on the believers at the time and on Christianity moving forward.
Easter is a celebration of the world’s biggest event—the death and resurrection of Jesus. His resurrection gives us the power to close the gap between the life we have and the one we could have.

Message from Matt Evans on Apr 21, 2019
When we consider the stories of the Prodigal Son and the Apostle Peter alongside each other, the same truth emerges — we are closest to home when we are closest to Jesus.
If Jesus were to preach an Easter sermon, how would He preach it? If Jesus were trying to convince Bostonians in 2019 of the veracity of His historical and physical resurrection, what would He say? I think He would preach a sermon. That's what He did the very first Easter Sunday, when He met two skeptics on the road to Emmaus. He revealed Himself from the Holy Scriptures, by the Holy Spirit, before He revealed His Holy Self. He gave them objective truth for the mind, and then enforced it with subjective truth for the heart.
