Step into Episode 190 of On the Delo as David DeLorenzo sits down with longtime friend and Arizona hospitality pro Tiffany for a candid conversation about life behind the bar, responsible service, mental health, and launching a new industry-driven concept in downtown Mesa. From nearly two decades in restaurants and bars to opening “The Walk In” while navigating new motherhood, Tiffany pulls back the curtain on what it really takes to care for guests, protect your team, and still protect your own energy. If you're in hospitality, own a bar or restaurant, or just love the Arizona beer community, this one gives you real-world perspective and practical takeaways you can use right now.Hear how Tiffany went from a 19-year-old hostess at Native New Yorker in Tempe to a respected leader in Arizona's craft beer scene, shaping programs at spots like Cornish Pasty, Postino Gilbert, and The Sleepy Whale. She breaks down the psychology of reading guests, the art and “mama bear” finesse of cutting someone off, and why hospitality that feels like family is the only way to stand out when people are more selective than ever about where they spend their money. The conversation also dives into how therapy, boundaries, lifting, early mornings, and porch coffee help her manage burnout and stay grounded in an industry that often expects you to be “on” no matter what's happening in your own life. You'll also get an inside look at The Walk In, the new “grandma's basement” bar Tiffany is opening in a historic basement space in downtown Mesa with partners Chris Rogers and Thad Krosky. Think cozy couches, wood paneling, beer neons, beer, natural wine, vinyl nights, and a serious non-alcoholic program designed for people who want the full experience without the booze. Tiffany shares the real startup journey: losing their first dream Tempe location, regrouping with help from community and a strong broker, finding the former Sun Devil Liquor basement and its old cellar “relics,” and deciding they don't have to settle for anything less than the right space.Chapter Guide (Timestamps):(0:00 - 2:40) Saturday Morning Vibes and Episode 190 Intro(2:41 - 5:56) Tiffany's Start in Hospitality: Native New Yorker, ASU, and Falling in Love with the Industry(5:57 - 12:40) Psychology Behind the Bar: Reading Guests, Responsible Service, and Care Over Transactions(12:41 - 18:21) Arizona Beer Community: Hospitality, Storytelling, and Surviving a Changing Market(18:22 - 23:58) Building The Walk In: Concept, Partners, Mental Health Focus, and Learning the Business Side(23:59 - 30:38) Losing a Location, Finding a Basement: Tempe Setbacks, Downtown Mesa, and Not Settling(30:39 - 37:56) Non-Alcoholic Programs, Mental Wellness, Therapy, and Coping Without the Crutch of Alcohol(37:57 - 43:21) Motherhood, Support Systems, Arizona Roots, and Raising Riley in Hospitality(43:22 - 47:24) Rapid Fire: Music, Tattoos, Aliens, Gold Shows, and Strength Inside and Outside the Bar(47:25 - 48:39) What's Next: Copper State Beer Festival and Built Different Community Invite
Welcome to the Podcast of Southwest Bible Fellowship in Tempe, Arizona. WHO ARE WE? • We are a group of people who are committed to living the grace life as set forth by the apostle of the Gentiles, the Apostle Paul. • We come together to study our Bibles, and yes, we believe we have God's perfect Word in the King James Bible. It and it alone is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice! • We do not come together and study our Bibles for the intent of being smarter than others. We understand that knowledge for the sake of knowledge is purely vain and serves no Godly purpose. • We do come together and study our Bibles for the intent of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection. (Philippians 3:10) • We do come together and study our Bibles to understand that we have been crucified with Christ; nevertheless we live; yet not us, but Christ liveth in us: and the life which we now live in the flesh, we live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved us and gave himself for us. (Galatians 2:20) • We do come together and study our Bibles to understand that because Jesus Christ shed His blood for us and we should not live for ourselves but for Him, who died for us and rose again. (2 Cor. 5:15) • We do not claim to have attained to these lofty goals, but we press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. The Intro to AOX Course is coming to Tempe, AZ! Join us for a hands-on deep dive into the clinical and business systems behind predictable full-arch success. Seats are limited - register now to secure your spot. https://products.sharedpractices.com/tfap-intro-to-aox-2026 In this episode of The Full Arch Podcast, Dr. Aaron Miller sits down with SPG CEO Dr. Alex Sharp to reflect on a powerful day spent filming patient testimonials — and the deeper lessons that surfaced from hearing real smile journeys back to back. What stood out wasn't technique, hardware, or surgical details. It was how patients talked about trust, experience, and how being truly listened to changed everything. Together, they unpack why patients remember how you made them feel more than what you did clinically, how fundamentals and consistency shape better outcomes, and why confidence is built long before surgery ever begins. Key Highlights: What Patients Really Remember – Trust, clarity, and how the experience made them feel outweigh technical details. Smile Journeys Tell the Truth – Testimonials reveal the real impact of full-arch treatment when you slow down and listen. Fundamentals Still Win – Strong communication, presence, and consistency matter just as much as surgical skill.

In this episode of the Kiss My Assets Podcast, Kyle Macdonald and Neighborhood Ventures CEO Jamison Manwaring break down one of the most surprising storylines in U.S. real estate: the historic 2025 multifamily absorption boom that stunned analysts nationwide. We unpack why over 725,000 units were absorbed in just two quarters—surpassing all of 2024—and what's driving renters away from homeownership and into newly built apartments across the country. Jamison also dives into how Phoenix compares to challenged markets like Austin, why institutional forecasters missed the mark, and why long-term investors should care about the "lock-in effect" reshaping housing supply. The episode then shifts to projected rent growth in 2026, why many operators are preparing for a rebound, and what savvy investors should watch for as the national supply pipeline normalizes. Finally, Kyle and Jamison discuss one of Arizona's most eye-opening recent transactions: Next Wave Investors acquiring The Avi in Tempe for $40M—a 40% discount from its 2022 peak price. They break down how distressed deals are emerging, why 2022 buyers are struggling, and how Neighborhood Ventures is navigating this moment with disciplined acquisitions. A data-backed, candid conversation for anyone tracking the future of multifamily investing.
In Episode 2 of this deep-dive hormone series, Dr. Brendan McCarthy—Chief Medical Officer of Protea Medical Center in Tempe, AZ—breaks down the part of progesterone almost no one talks about: its powerful role as a brain hormone. Most women are only taught that progesterone is about fertility and uterine lining. But the truth? Progesterone is a neurosteroid that influences your amygdala, hippocampus, and prefrontal cortex—three key brain regions that shape your stress response, emotional stability, sleep, memory, and self-trust. This episode covers: ✔️ Why perimenopause makes your brain feel “out of control” ✔️ The link between progesterone decline and anxiety, irritability, depression, night sweats, and brain fog ✔️ How progesterone converts to allopregnanolone (your brain's natural calming signal) ✔️ Why women under chronic stress or in their late 30s–40s feel symptoms more intensely ✔️ How hormonal imbalance impacts memory, decision-making, and emotional regulation ✔️ Why you're not broken—and what real validation and proper care looks like Dr. Brendan McCarthy is the founder and Chief Medical Officer of Protea Medical Center in Arizona. With over two decades of experience, he's helped thousands of patients navigate hormonal imbalances using bioidentical HRT, nutrition, and root-cause medicine. He's also taught and mentored other physicians on integrative approaches to hormone therapy, weight loss, fertility, and more. It's Thanksgiving Eve, and Amanda & Trevin are inviting you to their table a day early—just in time to practice a few conversations you might want to avoid at your own family gathering. This week, the crew actually gives thanks for a change. Trevin reflects on discovering Jesus and John Wayne: How White Evangelicals Corrupted a Faith and Fractured a Nation, and how the book connects to his family's history with masculinity. Amanda finds gratitude in her injured wrist, even writing a heartfelt (and hilarious) poem about all the good it brings into her life. To warm things up, they dive into Thanksgiving Trivia. Amanda quizzes Trevin about a returning character in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, leading to theories ranging from Shrek to Ronald McDonald—plus a dubious Spider-Man parade memory. Trevin's trivia topic exposes a viral Facebook article on the legal scams the platform feeds users daily, and the big money behind them. Then it's on to the main course: a full holiday platter of petty crimes, scams, chaos, and questionable choices. Tempe, AZ: LaVina Jackson is arrested after a Thanksgiving fight—then picked up from jail by her partner, Miguel Redshirt, in a stolen truck. Burlington, Ontario: A local man shares fake nudes of his ex-wife with a friend, leading to an unusual court decision. Lafayette, Louisiana: Walmart employees Stacey Dishman, Jordan Lee Dalton, and Abigail Lane cheat Black Friday promotions for extra cash. Hamilton, Ontario: A 36-year-old man steals a Hamilton Street Railway bus full of passengers… and heroically takes everyone to their correct stops (while denying unpaid riders). Bucks County, Philadelphia: Anthony Gisondi steals hundreds of dollars worth of frozen turkeys to pay for drugs—and someone unexpected takes him down. France: Oscar Delaite, 19, breaks the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous bicycle wheelie—just because he felt like it. We will journey through some of the most powerful short stories ever told–stories that have shaped Christian faith for centuries. These are not just simple moral lessons. These are Kingdom revelations. With simple images– a tree, a lost coin, a house being built– Jesus opens our eyes to the beauty of God's heart, our need for salvation, and what it means to live in His Kingdom under His reign. The parables are how Jesus invites us in. They are windows into the heart of God and mirrors revealing our own. They confront us, comfort us, and ultimately call us to respond to the good news that God's Kingdom has drawn near in Jesus. This week, Pastor Warren Williams out of Luke 18:9-14.WEBSITETo learn more about Redemption Tempe, find ways to get involved, or opportunities to serve, visit our website: https://tempe.redemptionaz.com.OUR APPDownload our app redtem.in/tempeappOR text "tempe app" to 77977STAY CONNECTEDFacebook: / redemptiontempe. .Twitter: / redemptiontem Instagram: / redemptiontempe.. .GIVINGEverything we have is a gift from the Lord because He owns it all. (Philippians 3:14) You can donate to this ministry through www.butnow.org and the PayPal button on the homepage.

They dig into the real world of content creation for dentists and practice owners — how to be authentic, how to avoid overthinking, why consistency beats aesthetics, and how storytelling builds trust more effectively than any polished marketing script. Key Highlights: Document, Don't Perform – You don't need to "be a creator"; you just need to share your process, your values, and your growth. Consistency Over Perfection – Quality improves naturally when you show up often — not when you wait to feel ready. Story Builds Trust – Patients buy from people they feel connected to, and content is how you stay top of mind long before they need treatment.
What happens when you drop a senior project manager into a room full of attorneys, tribal leaders, political operators, and massive personalities? In this Top Shelf Replay, Kate & Kim revisit one of the most beloved—and re-listened—episodes in PM Happy Hour history: "Stage Direction in the Boardroom" featuring master facilitator Sheila Morago. If you've ever wondered how elite leaders steer complicated, high-stakes conversations without losing their cool (or losing six months of work with one careless comment), this episode is your new playbook. Sheila shares the tools, tactics, and emotional intelligence behind managing senior stakeholders, building trust, engineering alignment, and yes…occasionally staging a fight to get everyone to "yes." Get ready—this episode is full of real-world policy drama, tribal gaming insight, negotiation theater, and powerful lessons for any PM trying to move from "task master" to strategic leader. Great Quotes From the Episode "Never ask a question you don't already know the answer to." "These aren't meetings—they're Kabuki theater." "Nothing brings people together like a common enemy." "If you don't let them vent early, they will vent later—and at the worst possible moment." "Policy takes years. Tech takes a week." What You'll Learn (Key Outcomes) 1. How Senior Leaders Actually Negotiate Sheila breaks down what it takes to orchestrate alignment among executives, attorneys, policymakers, and stakeholders—none of whom work for you, all of whom report to someone powerful. 2. The Secret Skill That Makes PMs Into Leaders How listening (really listening) becomes your most strategic tool at the senior level. 3. Managing High-Stakes Meetings Without Losing Control Why should one person guide the conversation? How to posit their positions to draw out quiet or hesitant stakeholders. How to keep the emotional temperature safe but not silent. 4. The Power of the 'Safe Zone' Why must you create a space where stakeholders can speak unfiltered, off-record, and without fear of political consequences. 5. Relationship-Building: The Long Game Happy hours, lunches, hallway conversations—how the "work between the work" makes the boardroom possible. 6. The Art of the Staged Fight Why conflict must be visible. Why letting people "win" (feel like they won) is essential. Why is the real battle scripted before the meeting starts? 7. Using Common Ground—and Common Foes When "we all want the same thing" works. When "the real enemy is over there" works even better. 8. How to Lock Down Decisions So They Don't Backslide Why immediate execution is key. How implementation momentum prevents second-guessing. 9. Lessons Kate & Kim Learned 8 Years Later Why parts of this episode hit harder after a decade of PM leadership. How letting emotions into the meeting leads to better outcomes. What PMs often overlook when they're new to senior-level facilitation. If you want to level up from "planner of tasks" to leader of leaders, this replay is essential listening. Whether you're negotiating policy, driving enterprise transformation, or just trying to get two teams to agree on anything—Sheila's battle-tested tools will help you steer the room, keep your cool, and bring people with you.
